The Gargoyles (7): By all accounts, you should have seen the last of them. The Star Festival had its fair share of oddities, but it seems like some of them did escape into Destiny City. Maybe you see them perched on the roof, or hiding in the shadows, but not all of these grotesque creatures are satisfied with just escaping their interdimensional prison–some of them still have a bone to pick. They seem stony; some of them will watch with a penetrative gaze and never strike to attack, but some of them will dive down to target anyone who gets too close. The monsters come in an array of sizes and shapes, but they are no more than half the size of their target. Their goal is uncertain, but they will crumble into a pile of rocks and dust if struck hard enough. Powered characters can use one roleplay with an attacking stone beast to count as a battle requirement if they are roleplaying with another powered character.
Dant was again observing another Gargoyle, attempting to decide which ones were actually normal stone and which ones were actually alive. He was in his human glamour at this moment, which meant that he looked to be about 19 years old, of Egyptian roots, somewhat tall, with soft jade eyes and thick luxurious hair to his shoulders. Today he wore a white t-shirt and jeans with black socks and sneakers - the socks were actually on his feet in his shoes this time, not on his ears!
He was sipping another pumpkin latte (he'd have to work on that - he seemed to be getting addicted) and waited for his new friend, Oia the Knight to help him with his latest task of ridding the world of these Gargoyles - this one seemed determined not to move.
The waitress had handed him another latte, which he didn't pay for but had a short note attached, "No payment needed, thank you for your good behavior, Sir,and polite manner. The Management." "Uh thank you." "No problem, Sir." He'd have to get Oia to read it to him. He wondered if he'd
recognize her in her non-powered form.

Henny was meeting up with her new friend the deep space senshi they knew each other's civilian forms so she wasn't bothered arriving as her human self then again being a knight she was still human, unlike Dant who was literally otherworldly. They were going to be hunting gargoyles she wasn't sure how much help she would be since as a page she didn't have access to her magic just yet. She did have the strength of a page and she had her baton so that was all well and good but this fight was likely to not be an easy one to deal with. She would be fighting monsters head-on rather than being thrown into the battle by chance. Which was how she had started this journey for the most part. Then again this might be better since they could come up with a battle plan and she wouldn't be alone in this fight. Which was what that other person had suggested to her find a team and work with them. Well, this was a step in that direction so that was good. She smiled seeing him with his drink "I see you really like those drinks." She teased.

He smiled at his new friend. "Henny, right? Ah yes, indeed I do like these drinks." He blushed a bit. "I am Dant." He leaned forward a bit to whisper, turning darker with shame. "Could you read this note to me? The waitress handed it to me with the extra drink, which I didn't pay for, and I am unsure what to do..." He whispered. He returned to his position as a new waiter came and asked to take their order of food. Dant hesitated. In his life before, his bill was always covered ( and heavily scrutinized) by the Pharaoh. Others paid for him now, but they did not make fortunes, and he had a new job, but that made less than his hosts. "I'm not hungry," he finally decided. "I apologize, but I think I drank one too many lattes." The waiter frowned but said nothing. Dant kept one eye on the two gargoyles on top of the roof of the church across the road, though they kept quite still. One though seemed to be twitching - what he thought might be a sign of too much heat - like humans sweat.

Henny smiled and said "Got that right, nice to see you again." She nodded and then said "Yea I remember your name." She went and ordered her own drink before saying "Don't worry about it I like them too." She sat down and drank hers and she said "Don't worry about it we should get to that project anyway, I'm sure it will take a while to get done and we don't want to miss the deadline." She had heard about the gargoyles and she figured he had as well so they would need to go find a spot and power up and get to work. "Come on let's get this assignment done my friend."

Dant gestured with his head ever so slightly towards the gargoyles on the roof, who were starting to get really restless. "I have an eye on the targets." He murmured to her over the last of his latte. "Excuse me, my friend," he said aloud, "I've just remembered that I've got to pay my landlord in ten minutes or I'm out of house and home." Dant didn't actually know the system here, and his excuse made everyone look at him curiously. This was his excuse to leave early and power up, but now his cheeks burned with embarrassment as he left. "See you soon, Henny." He said, uncomfortably. A little way down the street, he disappeared into an alley and powered up. Then he doubled back and perched on a rooftop, high above the gargoyles, where he could watch them, while he waited for Henny to power up. He looked down in alarm - he had only seen two - from here, he saw ten!

Henny smiled "Yea I know the feeling and if you need a loan I'll be around to help you." She went to an ally to transform into Oia page of the cosmos. She didn't mind the odd looks the people in the cafe had given them people always thought things were strange after all. She saw the gargoyles and she could only hope that her power would be enough to take them down. She went to join Sekmet. "Well, this isn't going to be easy." She muttered when she joined him her rabbit baton in her hand.

Sekhmet frowned. "I could easily take several of them out with my attack - however the civilians below would almost certainly be in imminent danger of falling debris. So that is out of the question." Hmm, what would Etamin do? He thought to himself. Then he jerked his fist in the air with a grin (the Sekhmite version of the 'aha! snapping of fingers' gesture) and said, "I've got it. We need to lead them away from the Civilians, do you have any ideas?"

Oia smiled and then said "Well I got an idea for that, since I'm not all that powerful yet how about I wrangle the crowd and you handle the monsters." She listened to his idea and then said "Well we could do a classic hey look at us and run for the woods and fight them there." She wondered if they would follow them she wasn't sure if they would leave their roost. "Either plan could work I suppose, but we need to try something before someone gets hurt."

"Hmm, I like them both. I will wait in the woods, you wrangle them (I'm thinking perhaps striking them from afar with some sort of small object to get their attention - then yes as you put it, 'Hey, look at me' distraction and get them to me and I will destroy them, how does that sound?" He didn't to make all the plans.

Oia nodded and then waited for Sekmet to get a fair distance to the woods before she started throwing rocks and yelling trick or treat at the gargoyles. Then she ran to the woods as well to engage with the enmey.

Sekhmet didn't have to wait long, Oia had done her job well, the Gargoyles chased her all the way to the woods and then saw him. He smiled sweetly and then said, "Hello Gargoyles, nice to see you again. Good Job, Oia!" The Gargoyles looked alarmed at this point like - Oh gravel, are we in trouble!Then he unleashed his attack upon the ones in the middle. Sailor Scout Attack: Mother Sekhmet's Gentle BreathSailor Sekhmet calls out the name of the name of the attack and spins in a gentle circle, causing a small dust-devil of sand to spin-off of him. The magic creates an uncomfortable sensation of wind and sand beating against someone. It can make it difficult to see and breathe. At player discretion, it can cause lasting minor damage. It lasts for 30 seconds, reaches 10 feet, and has a maximum of 3 uses. The four Gargoyles in the central turned to gravel and the others cried out in shock and anger and attacked. Sekhmet nodded to Oia, "I'll take the three on this side, okay by you?" As he braced to fight.

Oia started attacking one with her baton as Sekmet took out most of them. "By all means." She said as she did her best to help out.

Very quickly they were surrounded by small heaps of gravel. Sailor Sekhmet dusted his hands off and nodded to Oia, Page of Cosmos. "Fine work, my friend. I hope to work with you again some time. In the meantime, I should check in with my friend who is coordinating this. But do you need any help else today?" Sekhmet smiled.
