The Call (10) : An unknown number calls you. Maybe you pick it up, maybe you don’t, but the message is the same–someone on the other line is warning you about something. They seem to have details that give credence to whatever they’re warning you about, but there’s something particularly unbelievable about it all–because, they sound like you. And they know things only you would know. And then, the line drops, and you’re left alone. If you try to call the number back, it’s been disconnected. If it was a prank, it was a good one. But, maybe there was something more to it.
Dant asked to learn Earth Household Chores - not that he enjoyed doing them - but that he felt that he should pay somehow for his room and board - no matter how much his hosts said he was guest. There was a proverb on Sekhmet (perhaps on Earth as well): The guest that wears out their welcome, shall not be welcome again. Anyways, he was cleaning the dining room as Myles had taught him, and his Earth Phone rang. Strange, few had his number.
He went to pick it up. It said, UNTRACABLE NUMBER. "Uh, Myles?" Myles had apparently left the room for a moment.
Dant picked it up and said, "Hello?"
His own voice answered.
"New Moon Brings the Cabbage in, With all it's stinking sin, Go to the sparkling Nome. Full Moon brings the Cabbage Home."
Click
Fear ran through Sekhmet.

Myles had left to grab a fresh roll of tape for the packages he was sealing up for his shop; the phone ringing wasn’t so abnormal to him, and he didn’t think Dant would mind a moment of privacy with his caller, but…
Something felt a little wrong.
When he heard only silence, he made his way back to the room wearing a quizzical expression. A frown quickly settled into place when he saw the expression on Dant’s face. “Are you okay?” he whispered, visibly concerned.

Dant turned to Myles, his face pale with terror and wet with sweat. "It was me. My own voice. With a prophecy ... about the Cabbage... coming here... " He was shaking so badly he had to sit down. He had fought that thing along for so long, on his own - he had been traumatized by the very thought of it, it seemed. It had gotten to the point where he actually had a phobia of cabbage in any form. And now it was coming here, prophesized by none other than his own self and his own voice. "Oh Myles! What do we do! What do we do!" He practically screeched.

Myles looked confused at first, and then he looked at the phone like it might have been on fire, and then he looked back to Dant. “Are you…are you sure it wasn’t someone playing a prank on you? I mean, I believe you! But this time of year is weird, a lot of times kids play pranks and things.”
Although, he knew how Dant felt about the Cabbage
A part of him hoped that he might have just had a bad dream, or imagined it, but…
Dant looked too shaken for it to have been just his imagination.
“Are you okay, do you want me to get you some water? We can try calling the number back, maybe? If it’s some kids, I’ll get Jeremy, he can do his scary voice and tell them to knock it off?”

Dant did drink some water and calmed down a little. "The phone read the number as Untraceable, and I swear it was my own voice on it." He sipped some water. "They, er I said the following; 'New Moon Brings the Cabbage in, With all it's stinking sin, Go to the sparkling Nome. Full Moon brings the Cabbage Home.'I have no idea what it means.

Myles frowned a bit; he was a bit more superstitious than Jeremy was, and he trusted Dant.
So, naturally his stomach was twisting in knots when he considered that it could have been Dant’s voice, but…
He forced a quick smile. “That does sound like something, um, that maybe could be a prank. I mean, Halloween has a lot of vegetables, like–well, pumpkins, so…maybe it’s just a, um, you know, a spin on that?”
He tried to sound confident, but sat down next to Dant and smiled encouragingly. “I’m sorry, it sounds scary though. I don’t know what any of that means,” he admitted. “It sounds kind of like nonsense…but I don’t know. Are you okay?”

Dant's mouth was dry. "Er, I will be fine... what kind of Moon is it tonight?" His nostrils began flaring, as he started to become aware of a nasty familiar odor.

Myles blinked slowly. “Uh, I don’t know. Maybe getting a little…” he hesitated and rubbed the back of his neck. “...Full?”
He chewed on the inside of his cheek and moved towards the window so he could try and peek out. “I’m not sure. Why, you don’t–I mean, what could it really be? If the moon is full, isn’t that more evidence of, like…a joke?”
He had no idea what he was talking about and had to rub at his arms; he was a little superstitious and now things were sounding a little creepy.
“...Should I call Jeremy or something?” he asked, even if he had no idea what his brother could even do about a weird phone call.

Kyuseisha no Hikari Hope this is okay? can change if need be! In the kitchen, the refrigerator door suddenly swung open on its own accord and a very stinky, very rotten (though definitely not Dant's Cabbage. In a very phobic attack, Dant jumped onto the table (narrowly missing his friend Myles's arms) and screamed. In the process, his pants slipped down a bit in the back.

Myles screamed, partly because of the fridge itself but mostly because he was very reactive and Dant’s fear created his own.
Which meant, when the front door of the apartment suddenly swung open, he screamed again–just in time for Jeremy to give both of them confused, exasperated looks. He had a bag of groceries in one arm and squinted at both of them like they’d lost their mind. “What?” he asked, closing the door behind him.
“Is the fridge door popping out again? What are you screaming about?” he asked, stomping over and slamming the fridge shut. He closed it and fanned the air instinctively. “And can one of you take out the old food once in a while? Come on. Dant, pull up your pants.”
