Arseno had seen a bit of the fight between the Corrupt and the General when he had been out checking on something while powered up, but hadn't seen what the fight was all about and had forgotten about it until his next Residency round. From his experience, Tom would definitely make sure he wouldn't be working in a hospital if he could help it. During one of the overnight shifts he had seen Alex's name but had gotten called to work on another patient before he could check in on whatever the reason was for Alex being in the Hospital. When he finally had the time to go check on his friend he was a bit worried when he saw his windows from the outside before finding his way up to his friend's door and knocking on it. "Alex? You okay? I saw your name on the list at the hospital I was working at and wanted to know if everything was okay!"

He'd been home, he wasn't about to step out of his home this fall, so when he heard someone at his door he'd headed over. Hearing Tom's familiar voice the ashen blond had hesitated in opening the door, this was a huge risk, if any spiders got in he'd wind up having another panic attack. This was something he wished to avoid, for obvious reasons, so it was with that in mind that he opened his door as quick as he could and yanked the taller male inside. For one as small as Alexandre was he was strong, lots of training, and so it wasn't too hard to pul lthe other inside. The door was slammed shut and locked as quickly as could be.
"You saw that...did you see why?" He really didn't like knowing he had such a crippling fear of spiders, that people could know about it.

Tom was barely able to blink before he was dragged into the apartment and Alex had locked it. He did wonder what the other was so afraid of. When Alex asked Tom shook his head. "I couldn't really see anything in the dark, and I was a bit far away. And looking at the chart at the hospital, I saw something about a panic attack but I wasn't able to read anything." In the moment he took a look around the apartment and noticed how boarded up it was. "Did... something happen? Is someone after you?" He would be surprised if that was the case. Even if Alex had been an Agent longer and had accumulated a larger list of potential enemies, to affect a General this much, something must have happened. "Do you need any help?"

s**t, so the other had seen enoughto know he'd had a panic attack bad enough to land him in a hospital. It was something he did his best to hide, there was thankfully little chance for it to impact him as a General. But sometimes on the very rare occasion those two things crossed paths; it was never good.
"I did have a panic attack - I passed out. It's rare I get that bad. Normally someone is around." Someone who knew, or figured it out rather quickly. "When I was young, elementary school, we took a walking trip to the library to learn about how a library works and how to find books." And other random things, information people in these days didn't use.
"Someone thoughtg it would be fun to show me a book with a picture, in black and white, of someone dead with their mouth open and spiders all over them. The caption to it said she'd been sleeping and a spider laid eggs in her open mouth. They hatched and she died." The wording had been, of course, different and he knew it wasn't logically sound but that as a child hadn't mattered - hadn't been known even. "I had my first night terror about spiders that night" And he was sure Tom could figure where this all went, with the cityh being covered in webs and tiny spiders all over the city. Something was making all those webs after all.
"This year they are small, tiny, one year they were huge." And then there had been the ones they'd had to mount down in the pits of the Negaverse. It was a wonder he hadn't passed out then in all honesty.

"That would definitely scar anyone for life." Tom said with a nod, only just holding back a disgusted face at the description. Even if he was a doctor, some things were still just gross. He looked at Alex. "I'm sorry you had to go through that. Having to face a fear like that, and not an unfounded one I might add, would be tough for anyone." He said with a nod. And spiders were dangerous, mostly in Australia, but brown recluses were prevalent in North America and didn't have a cure after all. "I remember the huge ones. I was with my brother when that happened..." He thought he remembered them getting separated somehow. "And I thought they were scary in video games when they were giant. It's even worse in real life." He said with a chuckle. Looking over at Alex he gave him a nod. "I won't tell anyone. Though here's hoping we won't have spider problems like that in the future." He said, really hoping that were true. Even if he didn't have a debilitating fear of spiders like Alex, it didn't mean he wanted to deal with them. And everyone had their fears. He didn't like mirrors in the dark. He always felt like someone was watching him through them. And with confirmation that Dark Mirror Senshi and the Mirrorsverse were a thing, even if his girlfriend was one of them, it just unnerved him even more to be around them.

"Yeah, I've never been able to shake the fear I have of spiders." Not that he'd ever tried, how did you go about that anyway? Get close to a spider...till when? You passed out? It seemed rather unhealthy and dangerous to him.
"I was there for the big ones...I remember that as well - at least some of it." He didn't remember it all, he was fairly certain he'd passed out at some point. He couldn't even remember honestly, it was one big horror he tried to block out and forget. Now there were webs all over the city again and he was certain all these littles one were not capable of making all the webs...the big ones had to be back also.
"I hope so. I'm lucky I held it together during that mission we went on - with the spider youma." He'd only just managed and even than he wasn't sure how or well he'd kept it together. "I'm concerned about this. These webs - these little ones can't be behind them all." There was no way.
"I'd keep an eye out and get a lot of cans of buig spray." Not that he figured the bug spray would helpp...but it was an idea." Moiting Tom into the kitchen he headed for the fridge. "Drink?" He did appreciate the other checkign in on him, someone else knew and he didn't mind someone else knowing his one big weakness. Tom cared and was concerned and he trusted him, knew Tom would help if he saw him in a tight spot.

"You're suggesting there's a large nest somewhere? That might be. I could go and look around if you want." He replied, accepting the drink offering. "Yes please." He took a seat and looked around for a moment, seeing some things that were different and others that were the same, before he looked back at his friend. "I know Mithra wouldn't be afraid to go and punch some spiders. Especially larger ones." He said with a chuckle. "I'm not a psychologist, but some exposure therapy might help, or at least identifying specific reasons as to why you're afraid of them." He shrugged. "I don't know of any currently though that could help. I've just been getting a doctor friend to prescribe my anti-anxiety meds." Mostly for helping him get through his shifts at the hospital, but he had been taking them all through med school. It had helped him to stay focused at least. "Might be better to get a flamethrower or lighter and some hair spray. Not sure how reactive possibly magical spiders would be to regular bug-spray. And I would suggest decompressing here for a bit before you go out again. And only go out in the daylight until these October shenanigans are over."

"There likely was the last time. The spiders then were never seen but the webs were - until they all turned up. Considering the size of the spiders and the webs everywhere...there has to be more than we're seeing and they have to be somewhere when we don't see them." During the day light hours, or whenever they were not visible to people. They had to be going somewhere but where...that was a myustery. With magic involved it could honestly be anywhere, including some sort of subspace pocket or something.
Getting a drink for the other, and offering him some ice to go into the drink, he handed the glass over before seating himself slowly. "While that might help it also might just land me back in a hospital bed. I've lived with the phobia this long...I'll survive." Though given how the fall in this city seemed to be going, and had gone in the past, it was getting a bit questionable really. "I wasn't aware that you were taking medications. They aren't having any sideeffects or anything - you've been doing well on them?" He worried that they could have, or might, somehow risk the other in a battle. He didn't know much about those medications, of which exact one the other was taking, but he would most certainly be keeping an eye on his general next time they were in some big battle. He would worry about him and keep his back if need be.
"I'm going to guess magic is somehow involved, it's Destiny City and it's holiday season. I plan to stay in doors as much as I can and order everything I need. I'll have it all delivered." And someone else could bring things in. He just hoped no spiders got into his house....if only he knew what would happen by the end of October.
"I don't have a good feeling about these spiders." Perhaps this was how the larghe ones had hidden? They'd been tiny and than grew big and attacked? It was an idea...anything seemed possible when magic was added into things. With a drink in his own hand, flavored water, he sipped at it slowly; nursing it.

Tom accepted the drink with the declining of the ice. "If you're sure. I could introduce you to someone if need be." He said with a nod before taking a sip and letting himself relax a bit more. He shook his head at the other's questions. "No. At least not anything that's causing me to make mistakes while I'm on my rotation. It's more the job itself that's making me tired." He said with a little laugh. "I don't know why they expect doctors to work on so little sleep. Makes mistakes more likely." He said trailing off a bit before looking back at his friend. "I don't have a good feeling about any of this. I'm sure it is magic, but where it's coming from and what type, that's the question. I'm almost jealous. I'm sure there's someone out there who knows about this type of magic and can study it while we're stuck with just Chaos and Order." He shook his head slowly. "Don't get me wrong, I like studying Chaos and all, but if there's another type of magic, I would like to learn about it as well."He took another drink. "Besides the uh... spiders, how are you doing? It's been too long since we've talked but civilian life sometimes gets in the way of everything." He said with a chuckle.

"I'm sure, I really don't think exposure or anything would help me..." He really was fairly certain it would land him right ina hospital bed again, and he'd really like to avoid that. He had a feeling if he landed himself in a hospital again, anytime soon, Mason might just put him on lock down in the house and bubblewrap him. Though with the spiders this fall, and being certain there were larger ones around somewhere, he wasn't so sure being on locked down was a bad thing...it might be safe.
This time he might not have to deal with spiderswwwwwwwww, he wished he hadn't dealt with them years back. Sadly he didn't typically get what he wanted when it came to this city and it's magical ways.
"Mmm, I always did wonder about that. It's really no secret how busy doctors are, and how little sleep they get, it's on tv shows and in movies even." He was certain nearly everyone consideredi t common knowledge, it was on any medical tv show that people watched. "I don't find it safe either...someone however seems to think it is. I'm surprised doctors, nurses, and such haven't fought back against it and made some sort of a union to fight for more rights - for safety." Though maybe there was a union of doctors and nurses, he might have to ask Xander about that. But if there was than why were doctors, nurses, and such still working on so little sleep and working long shifts? It was dangerous to everyone involved. That was one profession he'd never get into, for obvious reasons. He already spent enough of his time in the Negaverse...he was not giving the rest to a job like that.
"It is magic, I'm certain of that. This is like clock work, every year around this time things happen. We've had spiders before as well." Shaking his head as he sipped his drink, curling into his seat. "Someone knows but I can only assume it's someone higher than anyone here. Someone who is above us all, perhaps Metalia has a clue...but also anyone else equal or higher than her." Those who didn't live on this planet, cause anyone higher than Metalia on this planet would have been dealt with already. No, he was thinking some senshi or what have you that was still living in space somehow. He didn't believe in a god or any other such nonsense, despite all his dealings with magic...or maybe because of them.
"Mmm, I agree. If there is other magic out there I'd like to look into it as well, see if we can benefit from it in some way. Not just as far as the war goes but generally speaking." Something to help the planet, nature, people. If there was something out there he'd be happy to research it.
"Civilian life has been interesting. I decided to go back to college, again, and try my hand at a degree in botany. It's going better than teaching art did so I'm good with where I am." For the most part he was honestly doing good and was comfortable where he was. Life was settling, slowly, and it wasn't so bad. "What about you? Other than work and school."
