Quote: Rest in Peace (4): While making your way through Destiny City, you wind up taking a path you’ve never taken before. Maybe you’re following directions, maybe you got lost, maybe you were just looking for a shortcut—things were going well, until you wind up needing to pass through a graveyard. It seems normal enough—until you pass by a grave and get a powerful chill down your spine. When you stop and look at it, you see the gravestone has your name; beneath it, your birthday and today’s date. If you leave and return, the gravestone remains, but the name and dates look like they’ve been clawed off.

She probably should have turned back when it had finally sunk in that she must have taken a wrong turn somewhere, the familiar surroundings of the shortcut that she'd taken from time to time turning to something that she no longer recognised - but it had taken a while before it had sunk in that maybe she was on the wrong track and by that point Sadalsuud had been loathe to turn back.
After all she was a lot faster than Mi-Hi powered up as she was - and there was was always the chance that she would eventually pop out somewhere she recognised if she continued on for long enough–
Or maybe happen upon a handy mirror.
She had felt a the first prickling sense of unease when the path had led towards a graveyard, bad memories starting to stir–
But Sadalsuud had done her best to try and shake it off - because it had been five years after all.
Surely it wasn’t the same one, even if the path did appear to go through and out the other side just as it had back then.
Still it was with trepidation and reluctance that Sadalsuud had eventually pressed onwards, even as she did her best to keep her stride brisk so as to get through the graveyard as quickly as she could.
And no. No she was not going to think on how similar it seemed, or how the path appeared to wind just so just as she remembered.
Just as she not going to think on what she had found when she had found herself in a similar situation five years back.Sleet Tempest Snape Here's the start for the second rp Sleet, as always lmk if I need to tweak anything

AValeria had been trying to power up a bit more often, for things other than energy gathering, but she just didn't have the motivation. She was alone in this world it felt, she didn't know anyone at this point, and why should she? She hadn't put herself out there and those she had met, who had wanted to help her do better, had vanished. Because of that she was hardly powering up and when she did it was for just as long as need be - not a moment longer. Tonight she'd been wandering though, deciding to try and maybe do a bit better, when she lost track of where she was.
Before she knew it gravestones werearound her and she felt someone else in the area as well. They weren't a corrupt senshi, she knew that for certain, but they felt like chaos...but not the same chaos.
Long hair trialed behind her as she headed towards the signature. The fog, and mist, were heavy about her feet and chilling as she walked. It really wasn't the right time of year for clothing like her uniform. Shivering a bit she continued on, arms wrapped about herself, as she closed the distance slowly. "Who's here?" Calling out as loud as she dare, she didn't like being so loud in a place like this - it felt off and wrong.
Shuddering and shivering more as she continued it was as a particular nasty bout of coldness hit her that Valeria looked down to the stone she nearly tripped on. It wasn't a particularly large gravestone, which is why she nearly tripped on it, but the name on it was enough to fill her with horror. Her own name, and birthday, stared back at her...along with todays date as the date of death. What the hell?
Truing, quickly, she hurried away from the stone .Thiis place was not good - not at all. Hurrying for the signatujre, incase they might need help, pink eyed corrupt finally spotted them. "You! Are you alright?"

So far pretty much everything had played out just as it had on that night five years ago and Sadalsuud had been trying her best not to think on how that particular night had ended–
Had been especially trying very hard not to think of the gravestone.
Although given that she was in a cemetery and thus surrounded by gravestones, it was kind of hard not to think about said particular gravestone–
And maybe if she had been more focused on the path and less focused on trying to avoid thoughts of the gravestone, then she may have even managed it.
Maybe.
But it seemed like luck was not going to be on her side on this particular night as her foot landed awkwardly on a loose stone causing her to stumble - and it was as she was managing to even more awkwardly regain her balance that she saw it - the gravestone from before, well at least from where her mind remembered it to be–
Only the name from before - her name from before and the dates appeared to have all been clawed off, the rest of the marble untouched.
Sadalsuud trembled, her feet backing up without conscious thought, even as she tried to tell herself frantically that it wasn’t the same stone, couldn’t be the same stone.
She didn’t notice the othered powered signature, was too busy backing away from the stone to focus properly on her surroundings.
The voice speaking up when it did therefore took her by surprise, a startled shriek escaping her throat as Sadalsuud turned around wildly, only to end up flailing as she stumbled for the second time that evening, hands windmilling as she lost the fight with gravity.

Reaching out quickly to grasp at the other, to steady the dark mirror senshi, Valeria contiuned to speak. "Easy, easy. It's ok. I'm not here to hurt you and you're ok." She didn't know what had the other so panicked, and upset, but she was determined to help the other and calm her, it wasn't good to be so worked up and stressed out.
"Deep breath and tell me what's going on, we'll find a place to sit." So she could rest and calm down, because she clearlyh needed to do so. "I'm Valeria by the way." She didn't mention being a corrupt senshi, as it was rather obvious, just like she knew which faction the other belonged to. This one Valeria determined was safe, she wasn't going to be attacked by this other senshi. Not only was the other too owkred up but they also weren't white moon - they were chaos as well. She was safe, at least she assumed she was.
"Come on, let me help you."

Sadalsuud had been trying to brace herself, knowing that there was no way that she would manage to regain her balance enough to save herself from making contact with the ground–
But a hand had reached out to help stabilise her before she could completely topple over.
There was a voice too, soothing and kind - enough so that eventually Sadalsuud managed to calm enough to finally focus on what the other woman was saying.
"I… Thank you" she managed to get out at last, because falling over was never fun and the tall woman with the elegant-looking pink hair and kind pink eyes had saved her from that–
And it wasn’t just the hair that was elegant, the other woman’s whole outfit coming across as elegant, the aura marking her as a senshi just like her - but not one from the Court.
Not one from Order either and that paired with the woman’s earlier kindness was perhaps why instead of trying to scramble away Sadalsuud instead bit her lower lip in anxiety as she admitted "Sitting would be.. Good."
She hesitated before continuing with "But could we.. Can we do it away from here." She gestured vaguely in the direction of the clawed up headstone, not wanting to look in its direction.
She realised belatedly that the other had given her name, her voice awkward as she added "I’m Sadalsuud - but you can use Sadal if you want."
She didn’t give a sphere - but her outfit was most likely clue enough to her sphere.

"Of course, I wouldn't want to keep you here after the panic you just had." That would be dopwn right cruel to do. keeping someone near what caused a panic attack, or at least it appeared to be a panic attack of some sort. She didn't understand why this gravestone seemed to be an issue but she also didn't need to know, all that mattered was that it had caused an issue.
That in mind she pulled the other close to her side. "Let's go find somewhere safe to sit so you can calm down. You don't need to explain anything to me, don't worry, I just want you to take some deep breaths and calm yourself." Whatver had upset her had shaken her badly, as far as Valeria could tell.
"It's nice to meet you Sadalsuud." She was glad she had been in the area, and not someone who might have taken advantage of things. "Do you know a place nearby where you'd feel comfortable resting?"

"Thank you" Sadalsuud said when Valeria agreed to them going elsewhere, her voice heartfelt.
She hesitated before admitting, "This place really gives me the creeps."
She bit her lip, already feeling a little silly over her admission even though she couldn't really help but feel creeped out to find that something had decided to claw up the creepy headstone with her name–
As if a headstone with her name, her civilian name and her date of birth wasn't creepy enough.
No! She reminded herself mentally. No she wasn't going there, wasn't going to think about the creepy gravestone anymore.
Well at least she was going to do her best to try not to do so.
It took a few moments for her to realise that Valeria had been asking her a question, Sadalsuud shaking her head a little in embarrassment when her mind caught up to the other senshi's question.
"Ah, pretty much anywhere is good as long as it isn't here" she admitted.
And then added quickly "And it's nice to meet you too Valeria" because Valeria was being so nice and she didn't want the other senshi to think that it wasn't nice.

"These places are always a bit creepy to hang around but this time of year is worse. It doesn't help that I was pulled here, I didn't come here on purpose." She really wasn't too surprised though considering it was right around Halloween and they were in Destiny City. This was really the worst place to be this time of year.
"Come then, lets get us out of here." She spoke while guiding the other out of the area, they'd fine somewhere nice and comfortable soon enough.
"I don't think I've met a dark mirror senshi before...though I have heard of them." She wasn't out much llike this, powered up, it was beyond rare so she knew next to no one. She'd heard of them though, paperwork and records and such. She had, on rare occasion, read up on such things and learned about them.
"Would you like to talk about something while we sit and you relax?"

"I took a wrong turn" Sadalsuud admitted as she followed after Valeria, more than happy to put some distance between herself and this place "And I was pretty far along when I realised and so didn't want to end up retracing steps."
She hesitated before adding "But I probably would have if I had realised that this place was going to be at the end of it."
Well more to the point she would have if she had realised that the creepy graveyard was exactly the same one as the one that she'd had the misfortune of stumbling across five years back.
"Although I wouldn't have met you if I had turned back and you're nice."
She was being serious, because Valeria had been nothing but kind to her so far.
Sadalsuud gave a small smile "I don't think that there's as many of us" she admitted when Valeria said that she didn't think that she'd met a dark mirror senshi before. Her voice turned rueful "And I don't mind talking - but I'm probably not the best member if you want to know more about the Court."
Because she was well her and Sadalsuud knew that there were more impressive members of the Court.

"Mmm, I would of course avoid this place as well. I don't like graveyards as well." She didn't know anyone who did anyway, it wasn't a place for the living unless they were there to bury someone or pay their respects to someone. "I don't know how I wound up there, I wasn't trying, but I am glad I found myself there - so I could help you." She wouldn't have wanted to be there if not for being there to help this senshi.
"I don't need to know about the court - jsut talk. About whatever you want. There aren't as many corrupt senshi either." Most senshi were found on the total other side of the war...but she knew that already. Any who served chaos, of any faction, were the outsiders when it came to senshi.
"I like helping people...and talking can help. So whatever you want to talk about." Nodding her head as she found a bench that was situated under some trees. The city had, in recent months, started placing benches along sidewalks in seemingly random spots about the city. It was so people could sit when it got too hot or so the elderly could sit and rest. They all had a lamp next to them, for safety reasons, and that was where she guided them now. It was perfect for this night and for them,
"So sit and talk and relax. I'll listen to whatever you want to say." She was good at helping people and a caring person. It made taking energy, and lives, very hard for her. It was why others ahd suggested she go after those who hurt other people...those who were bad. In order to protect their would be victims. She could do that...it made it easier.

"Uhh... Okay then" Sadalsuud said as she took a seat on the bench that the other senshi had managed to find, before frowning thoughtfully as she tried to think on where to start.
"I uh like working with clay, even though I don't really have much time for it as I used to."
Because whilst she tried to go to the monthly classes at the pottery when she could, often enough it felt like all she did was study or work these days–
Or mayhaps more to the point it was all that Mi-Hi did, given that Sadalsuud knew that she wasn't really particularly that active as a senshi.
She added "But I still like to work on pieces when I can." Sadalsuud laughed ruefully as she admitted "It was easier back when I was in high school, for all that it seemed back then like it wasn't."
Because even with high school being high school, it felt like there had been more time for things.

"I can agree with you about high school seemingly like you never had time, than comes college and university." Than you really knew what it was like to not have time; because you had even less time to yourself. It seemed impossible, when you thought about it, yet it was somehow possible. "You should find time for pottery if it helps you." Because everyone needed somrthing to do outside of school, it was not good to become bogged down in that. She had seen one of her siblings stress out, burn out, and take a year long break from university despite their families upset. It had been needed for her elder brother.
"Perhaps when yo ucan add in an art class for college, two birds with one stone." It would help the other fi tin pottery because the time had to be made...since it was for college.

] "I guess" Sadalsuud said quietly, because it was true that she missed going to pottery classes on a regular basis as she had done in the past back when she was in high school.
But trying to find more time often felt like it was easier said than done.
She blinked at Valeria's suggestion of perhaps adding an art class to her college classes, because it wasn't something that she'd thought of–
But now that she was thinking of it she could admit that she definitely liked the idea.
"I actually hadn't thought of that" Sadalsuud admitted, "But I really like that idea" and if nothing else it was worth looking into seeing if DCU would let her do it.
She gave Valeria a bright smile "Thank you."

"It would be a good way to force yourself to take some time for pottery while calling it school. Rather than it being a seperate thing." Plus she'd get a grade for it and it would, with some hope, look good to others looking over her grades in the future. "I'm glad I can offer a solution to your problem. I just hope it works for you." As it seemed pottery class might help this dark mirror senshi, as it seemed she needed some more time to enjoy things in life.
It wasn't always easy to take personal time, to sit back and enjoy things, and Valeria understood that. She had a large family, some might call it massive, and often she was babysitting a niece or nephew or several of them. She also had work and school and Negaverse duties to add into things but she did manage it all, she had to, it was good for her that her own family understood the need for personal time though and she had that. She had time for herself without any obligations but to herself.
"Are you feeling a bit better now?" Now that she had a way to help herself, to enjoy things.
