The Leaves (6) : With the changing seasons, there are piles of leaves all around Destiny City. It’s a difficult job to try and keep up with them all, and sometimes the allure of these leaf piles is impossible to ignore. Who doesn’t want to relive the childish joys of their youth? And no one’s around to see, right? So why not jump into a pile of leaves? Oh–because, when you do, you jump through one pile and come out of another somewhere else across the city. The leaves all seem ordinary, but there’s a few odd seconds between when you jump into the leaves and when you jump out; it feels like falling, tumbling, somersaulting through the air. It’s not scary, just odd. You see walls of leaves–brown and orange and yellow and red–and they crunch magnificently. Overall, it doesn’t seem menacing, just a bit of trickster fun. If you try to jump in a pile of leaves again, you might wind up somewhere else entirely–or right back where you started.

Leaena, (still patrolling in her rather childish Cheetah-esque fuku - though she was now in her final yea as a Chibi) was now patroling the little park that had just been added to her quickly growing patrol area (Etamin and Pasithee, her elder siblings - had decided that she was growing up rather fast and needed more responsibility to balance and guide her - something with which she agreed)

She seemed to be alone in the park - the park maintenance men had seemed to go on break early leaving all these nice big piles of Fall leaves that had changed to brilliant colors.

They were so alluring - Come jump in us! They seemed to say. However, she was a Senshi now. And she was nearing maturity. Yet, something in her seemed to say, Nearing does not mean you are there yet. Besides, no one is watching...

"Oh, what the Cauldron! Alright. One last time for old time's sake." Leaena mumbled and jumped in the nearest one. Strangely enough, she didn't come to a quick stop. Instead, she tumbled through the darkness with leaf walls on each side, until finally she lurched out of another leaf, and she landed on her feet. Barely looking around, she realized that she was not in the same place she started. She could sense a great amount of water nearby, as well as the aura of another Powered person near her.

However, Leaena was in deep shock and did not move for moment, and said quite stiffly, "Toto, I don't think we are in Kansas anymore...."

Leaena inhaled sharply. "I'm sorry that I scared, fellow Senshi. I... I didn't fall out of a tree... at least I don't think so."

She frowned and turned to looked at the pile of leaves before her. "I uh. Well, uh." She hesitated. "Cauldron. Might as well. So, like next year at this time I will be a mature Senshi - this is my last year as a Chibi, and I thought what the heck, the pile of leaves is practically calling my name. I thought I'd do it for old time's sake. You know, one last time.... Only something weird happened. When I jumped in - I seemly fell through some sort of portal and came out here... I was across town in the park with the bridge over the frog pond." She frowned.

Then she frowned again and turned to the other Senshi and smiled. "Oh, I have negligent in my manners. I greet you. I present myself, Chibi Super Sailor Leaena of Cheetahs."
