»»» BACKGROUND: Ryuu had been born and raised in Pacifica by his parents Kiyoshi and Rumiko Toda. They would never claim to have been in the best spot financially but they lived a decently comfortable life. Ryuu never really knew what his parents did in order to afford their home. But when he was home and they were around they would all spend some time together. Ryuu was a decent child getting into minimal trouble. It wasn't till a few years later that he would start getting into some more trouble when he met Rosita. They got along great except for when they argued over petty things.
She had been his biggest support as they grew up and they started on and off dating around their teens. She was backed by her brothers and the voodoo boys to some extent. It was when he turned fifteen that his world was flipped on its head. His parents had gone out to have a day out and get something for the apartment when a cpsycho incident occurred. They had both just been walking by and had become unfortunate numbers in the death tally of the incident. He was called to come and collect them after having chosen to get them cremated. He went out of the walls and threw the ashes into the ever-growing expanse of the world around them.
He threw down the containers after pulling off the tags and putting them into his pocket. He went into a spiral for a little bit and Rosita after some yelling and a couple of smacks had knocked him out of it. When Rosita's brothers found out however they didn't leave him to dry like most others in Night city. They brought him into their home and as everything passed and her brothers got more successful they brought their entire family onto the same floor and that included him. He was given an apartment and would go with them on jobs to earn some eddies in order to start getting his own chrome and things he needed and wanted.
