Shedir had never really done this before, but there was a first time for everything. Today was her first official patrol by herself. She had been out a few times, but normally she wound up with some friends. It took a lot of courage to get out here, but here she was. Even though she was nervous she was determined to be brave.
She decided the part near her house would be the best place to start. The park had a lot of ground she could cover and she knew it pretty well. After all, she had been here a few times as her non-chibi self.
Slowly she started to walk around the park and that was when it hit her. She sensed someone else was there. Not someone from the order either or so she thought at least. She took a deep breath and quickly started heading in their direction. Her feet started running before she even had a chance to think about what to do. "Here goes nothing," she whispered to herself.

Retzian was thinking a lot about the guy on the bike. She had managed to get herself a bicycle from Allison’s Bike Shop, and it was quite cute, a dark blue with a basket and honestly, she was proud of it, but…
She wanted to talk to that man again. Figure out if he would allow her to take his energy if she was polite. Or maybe she could luck out and meet him as a civilian. Perhaps they could even be friends.
That would be interesting.
The fact that there was a very…very small aura barreling towards the lieutenant didn’t even register until the child was right in front of her, looking like she had just raided the Egyptian section of the Spirit Halloween.
“You…it’s far too late for you to be out alone. Is this a joke? Please tell me that you’re not an actual senshi.”
There was a note of pure horror in her voice as she looked at the girl, she couldn’t be more than a pre-teen at best. This had to be a joke. Or she was being punked or.
Or something.

Shedir almost literally ran into the chaos she sensed as she tried to come to a quick halt in front of them. Luckily stopping before she barreled into them. At least her brakes worked on her first patrol, she joked in her head.
"Oh my gosh I'm so...sorry," she said as she looked in the direction of the person in front of her and her voice faulted a bit with her realization she had found who she was looking for.
This was who she had sensed. She looked the person up and down as they spoke to her. They didn't look that scary to her though, she actually thought they looked kind of nice. Was her radar broken? That was what she was thinking until she heard their words...
"Well, of course, I'm an actual Senshi! Well, Chibi Senshi ... but who else would be out at this time of night dressed like ... like this?" she said a little upset to hear that horror in the other person's voice, "and ... I'm not that young..."
How could she not look like a real Senshi? Sure she was small but she was bigger than most of the kids in her class, and she was a mummy! Mummies can be fighters, after all, she had written tons of horror stories about them.
That was when it hit, she forgot to ask who they were. "Though wait.. who are you and what are you doing out here? You don't look like any chaos I've ever met..." she said with a hint of suspicion as she cocked her head to the side.

“...Not that young. Tell me, just how old are you then?” Retzian folded her arms over her chest, scowling down at the girl with an expression that held more worry in it than anything.
At least she knew that the Negaverse waited until their youngest were in high school before recruiting them, and honestly, there wasn’t a single one among her class of first years that she would put forward at this time, they were just babies. As they got older though, closer to graduating, yes, she could easily recommend them for recruitment.
“I’m Lieutenant Retzian. And I’m out here on a patrol, but at the moment, I feel more like I’m babysitting. You should go home, kid.” Go home and forget about being a child soldier. That…simply wasn’t right. You should have to consent to want to be involved in all of this. There was real danger. Stronger agents had weapons that could easily be lethal…and some wouldn’t mind mowing down whoever they came in contact with.
Or, at least that was what she had heard.

"well...I'm about to be 12! and that's old enough to battle anyone I need to." Shedir said proudly almost forgetting her birthday was coming up soon on Halloween night.
Though thinking about it she knew she saw younger than her out there. Plus age didn't matter after all. All that mattered was ensuring others were still smiling at the end of the day. That was something she knew with her powers she could do. Without a doubt.
"Babysitting ya right," she said with a laugh at the thought. The last babysitter she ever had was when she was a literal baby. Her parents were ... very laid-back parents, she typically was always out on her own. That was when an idea hit her, after all this Lieutenant just said they patrol, which meant they were up browsing for someone to attack.
"Well, here I can fix that for you. How about we make this a real patrol, and I can show you just how weak I'm not Lieutenant," Luna said with a smile basically challenging them to a fight. She didn't know if she had done this right, but first being told she was too young and then a baby. That was about all she wanted to hear. Now she was going to let her powers do the fighting and show this Lieutenant just how much she meant business.

Retzian felt her eye twitch with the information that this child wasn’t even twelve yet. An eleven year old. A child in middle school. A young middle schooler at that. For a moment, she considered just turning and walking away. It was far easier to just pretend that this had never happened, pretend that she had never engaged this child warrior. But.
But that would do nothing. Do nothing to put any fear into the girl. It wouldn’t stop her from going out, wouldn’t stop her from getting into situations where she could get herself killed.
“Absolutely not. I don’t think you understand how easily you can be killed, girl. I don’t think you realize the trouble that you’ll end up getting yourself in. I don’t think you should continue to do this, and I for one will not allow you to think that you’re anything more than what you are. You’re eleven.”
Retzian reached out and shoved the child with all the strength she had, wanting to prove her point. Wanting to show her that this could be dangerous. “Act like it. And don’t pick fights that will get you killed.”
Turning away, Retzian broke into a run, wanting to get away before the child started to cry or…really did use what magic she had. It wasn’t…elegant but. Hopefully the lesson would be learned…and hopefully the girl would survive to see her twelfth birthday.

Shedir listened as best she could, but right now she was pumped and ready to go. She had never heard someone tell her what she couldn't do and there was no way she was letting some chaos do that to her.
Now she knew all about death, more than most people knew, and that she could be killed but it didn't scare her. She was determined to make the most of life and do whatever she could do to help the cause. Since she had friends she knew felt the same way she did. This was the way they protected everything they loved, like her parents and their hotel.
No matter what this chaos said she wasn't just eleven she was a Chibi Senshi! She was ready to fight and then she felt herself get shoved as she had never been shoved before. She went flying backward at least a couple of feet. The lieutenant definitely was strong, and before she could shake herself off and throw her hands in front of her to attack back.
Lieutenant Retzian was running away? What? she was too stunned to really think, but she got up and dusted herself off.
"That was so odd," she said as she shook her head, "and this coming from a girl wrapped in mummy cloth." She really had no idea what to make of that encounter, this wasn't what she expected at all.
Even though that person was supposed to mean in nature, she knew deep down she was just looking out for her. Even if she didn't know why. Since being chaos she thought it was a trap, trying to bait her to fight.
Guess not.
Though little did she know those words she said would stay in the back of her mind hidden until who knew when.
So she just turned headed in the opposite direction and decided to head for her home. It was time she turned in so she could relax and fight another day.
