What are games that there was tons on hype for and when you played it, you were sadly dissapointed. Halo would be the game for me. It was fun but, damn, its not the best game ever made.

Main stream media likes to over hype video games because it's the new thing now that it's getting really popular.
The new zelda game... with all the hype it's getting... it better be good. XD espeically now since they've pushed it back tons

Fable...it was a good game, but not deserving of all the hype it got.

Agree about Fable. It's fun to play but not the best I've played.
I have the same to say about Kingdom Hearts. Fun game but not the best in my oppinion sweatdrop *gets bricked by KH fans*

Final Fantasy X-2 got a lot of hype.
And...I was immensely disappointed with it. As fun as it is, its storyline was poor...the endings sucked...how they changed the characters up to be sex-kitten was even worse. Rikku looked like a total slut, and so did Yuna. Paine was the only one I liked in that entire game, and they just didn't get all that into her, so again...disappointment.

As much as I love it...I'm gunna have to say Kingdom Hearts. I absolutely LOVED it, but still! It doesn't need THAT MUCH attention!
Also, another one I love....Final Fantasy VII. . . stressed My brother had a friend who WORSHIPPED FFVII and he NEVER even PLAYED that game! I liked Final Fantasy VII...I can't wait for Crisis Core and Before Crisis to come out and stuff...but geez! Some people are insane!
And some other ones... Halo, GTA games, Psychonauts, KOTOR, Final Fantasy X, Halo...

Wind Waker, Wind Waker, Wind Waker, and oh, did I mention? Wind Waker.
What's worse, is that game wasn't even good. It was horrible.
I tried to play it through again, to give it one last chance at redemption, but I got through the first two dungeons half dead by boredom.
The only character I even liked in it was Medli. She was the only one who kept me going, but she isn't in it during the whole thing.
I don't think I'll ever touch it again.

cry aw i loved fable.
the world was so beautifully rendered (however limited). the english humor also made it awsome. oh! and the story was pretty good, with all the choices and what not.
Anyways, I agree about Halo.... I wasnt crazy about the first one (I think there could have been more story and dialogue) and the second one was just the graphics amped up a little (which didnt run well on most xboxs).

I can't say that I've been really disappointed about any games. I just hoped KH2 wouldn't have got all the hype it did. Why? Because it's awesome and some people expect way too much. A lot of games just don't get the credit they deserve because of all the hype, ya know? Does that make any sense? sweatdrop

That game got so hyped over here, and when I played it... Things that were usually scary became laughable. I just wanted to weap for the passing of that dead time I used playing it. It was way overrated.
And I agree on FFX-2. I just bought it to have another FF game, played it, then cried a little. I hate every part of it, accept the old battle system they brought back, and the dark-knight sphere. That's it. *tear*
