You flip through the book and find information on the races that are said to inhabit this world today. Do you read on or not?

Humans
History
Humans were not always the dominant race of this world as they are today. May centuries ago, four races (Humans, Elves, Merefolk, and the Dragon-Kin) lived together in relative peace. However, as time passed the human tendancy to expand and conquer new lands, combined with their much higher fertility rates eventually prevailed over the other populations and made them the most common race.
Common Appearance
Much resembling large monkeys, Humans are primates. Humans have long arms and legs. Their legs are used for walking, while their arms are used for other tasks, usually using tools. Common Human hair comes in four colours, blonde, brown, red, or black, though some choose to dye their hair unnatural colours (a practice that is favoured mostly by sailors and other outlandish folk.) Human eye colours are commonly, green, blue, grey or brown.

Elves
History
Elves are one of the more common races, apart from humans. They still live in the world today, as they hide their Elven appearances and pose as simple humans.
Common Appearance
Elves physical appearence is almost indistinguishable from that of humans. They are said to be more attractive than humans, but that is debatable. Their only unique physical feature is of course their pointed ears, size of ears and definition of point vary from land to land.
Special Abilities
Elves have better sight, and hearing than humans, giving Elven people great accuracy.
Elves age much slower than humans after hitting adulthood. Elven children reach adulthood at 18years, after they hit 18, their body appears only 1 year older after 10 years.
Elves also have a speed advantage in battle, therefore Battle Rolls by Elves are multiplied by 1.25! (Roll Outcome is rounded down in case of decimal outcomes)

Merfolk
History
The Merfolk, are said to be humans with the ability to live underwater, and communicate with marine animals. They have been said to have the power to summon storms, a rumour that has cost many merfolk their lives. They are more numerous than other non-humans, but hide their appearance to avoid discrimination, or even the chance of execution.
Common Appearance
Merfolk were known to look like normal humans. Contrary to popular tales of brightly coloured hair, they are often pale in skin, eye and hair due to living in the deep ocean where little light is available. Merfolk have webbed fingers and toes, along with gills on their neck to give them the ability to live underwater.
Special Abilities
Merfolk are able to Live underwater, they are able to swim much better than a common human, and they are much more in-tune with the weather. They may be able to communicate with sea life.
Merfolk are known for their songs, most of them cause their enemies to go int oa trance, therefore Merfolk Battle Rolls are multiplied by 1.25! (Roll Outcome is rounded down in case of decimal outcomes)

Dragon-Kin
History
The Dragon-Kin were a race that held the power of the Ancient Dragons. The Dragon-Kin are said to be extinct in this day and age, though a few people say they have seen the Dragon-Kin, but their sightings are called down as mere trickery. The chance to have a Dragon-Kin sighting is very rare, but the many rumours about their fierceness in battle still survive in the world to this day.
Common Appearance
Information from the sightings say Dragon-Kin are the most noticable of all non-humans, perhaps part of the reason they are so scarce. The Dragon-Kin have blood red eyes, with slitted pupils. Some Dragon-Kin have two dark horns on the top of their forehead, their last feature is their Dragon-like wings, usually kept folded onto their body to appear as a vest, their wings can be used as weapons, or to fly.
Special Abilities
Dragon-Kin are very strong, one Dragon-Kin is said to be able to lift a frigate right out of the water. Dragon-Kin also have the ability to fly short distances, thanks to their wings.
Dragon-Kin age much slower than humans after hitting adulthood. Dragonian children reach adulthood at 18 years, after they hit 18, thir bodies age only about 1 year in 100 human years.
Dragon-Kin are known for their superior strength, due to their enhanced strength Battle Rolls by Dragon-Kin are multiplied by 1.5! (Roll Outcome is rounded down in case of decimal outcomes)
