I feel the worst part was acctually giving birth to the baby. And I feel the best part is when they put your baby on your chest and you finally get to touch the human being that was living inside of you.

I should have to agree. The labor itself was alot easier than I had thought. Granted I did have drugs. The morphine was great. The dermeral did not do a thing for me. But I absolutly loved that epidural. I myself got to sleep though most of my labor. It really surprized me how well drugs work. I normally dont do well with pain. But I dont think I would have gotten my drugs as quickly as I did without my boyfriend. I dont speak up much. He was sitting right there the whole time with me. When it got to the point where I was crying he got the nurse in there. They asked me if I wanted it and I excepted it. I'm surprized I got the drugs when I did though becuse my parents wernt there to give concent and I'm only 16. I loved it when it was finally over and I got to hold my little girl.

I didnt get drugs and stuff, I just went through the pain. By the time I had gotten to the hospital it was too late for them to give me any drugs.

I was home alone when I went into labor, but I didnt exactly realize it until things started really hurting and my water broke. Then I was at the time only 14 and couldnt drive, so I had to call my mom who was at work to come and get me, and by that time it was almost time for delivery. I didnt exactly know I was coming into labor because I wasnt due for a month.

I had a natrule birth, no meds and I would have to say the worst part was having some one between my legs with there hand up in side me. I honestly didn't feel any pain, Its just when theres a mans whole hand in my puss.......Makes me feel Odd.

The worst part was being forced to have an IV with my first labor.. the best part was of course getting to hold the baby.
The worst part with my second labor was them having me walk around for an hour and going from 2.5cm to 10cm in that time. Oh, and them trying to give me an IV again.. I refused, they wanted to give me drugs.. I refused.. they offered drugs AGAIN .. I refused.. they wouldn't leave me alone!.. that was the worst of it.. I wanted to just give birth and not be bothered by a bunch of people trying to shove drugs at me. Again, best part was holding the baby.
This time around, Im going to do my best to not get to the hospital until the very last moment.. so they can't offer drugs, and they can't even mention that freaking IV. razz and again, holding my son will be the best part. smile

If I had my choice I would have gotten the drugs.

I went through a 12 hour natrule labor and had a nearly 8 pound little girl....my family are teasing me about the second one is bigger, there already placing bets on how long it will be before I ask for drugs with my second child.>.> Wanna know whats worse then having a baby natrule? Having you're leg broke and put back in plus with NO pain killers....child birth holds no candel to a broken leg being pushing out through you're muscle's only to later be pushed back in with alot of force.

Transition had to be the worst (especially w/ #2 cause I hit it in the car while poor Shaun was trying to drive me to the hospital... every single turn and bump felt very exaggerated)... Best part was of course having the munchkin to hold.
The whole guy touching me did bother me a lot, so I ended up going with a group of midwives (all other women) who I felt I could trust more and was much more confortable around. I also did the natural birth thing with both my boys (of course with #2 I didn't have a choice... he was born 5 min after I walked in the hospital door... I didn't even make it to the maternity floor... barely made it in the door to ER). xd

I did have a natural birth, with both.. but the first one they got an IV of fluids in my because I was young, and they didnt want me to dehydrate.. (which I didnt, consdering I was in labor for 24 hours before going there and could still keep fluids down on my own)
This time, no IV for fluids, no offers for drugs.. or Im going to be extremely grumpy.. razz I still want it to be June now tho.. so I can finally meet my little man (my last baby, and only son)

My nurse made me want to cry, If I didn't want to roll over she was pinching me and digging her nails into my shoulder's trying to push me over.* I was so tired I passed out for half of my labor,Thats what happens when you work for 16 hours a day and for 8 of thoes hours you where in labor* LOL My sister saw her digging her nails in me and told her to get a new nurse in here or she was going to black her eye. eek

If I'd had a nurse like that I would have had an absolute fit. With Ty, I had a very nice experience. The only ones in the room with me were the midwife on call and Shaun. The midwife was great. She kept the lights low and the room nice and comfy. She really made me feel like she was there for me. If anyone lives in the Asheville,NC area I highly recommend the MAHEC widwives.
I had more trouble with irritating nurses after Ty was born. For the 24 hours I had to be in the hospital afterwards I didn't get any sleep because nurses were constantly coming in and out of my room and rummaging around in cabinets and stuff. I was ready to strangle something by the time I got to leave.

Im glad I didnt have any problems at the hospital. I was just a little uncomfortable with the doctor touching me because I was raped. Then again meeting new males makes me uncomfortable.
