Who else from this guild has or is watching One Piece? For those who like it..What is your favorite character? For those who have not...Have you heard about it? Anyways I have watched it and read some of the manga but I probably will not finish it. Since I did like it but not hardcore. Once someone I liked died.. it was not the same for me... Yes Ace, Luffy, Zoro and Sanji are my favorite characters.

I've kept up with it for 15-16 years now and I regret it lol. I still like the series, I'm just bitter at the treatment of most of the characters. I'd say the writing up until Dressrosa and some of Whole Cake Island has been amazing, but I really don't like the way the writing has gone. Nami is my number one fave and please don't argue with me about Robin being better. I've heard it from so many people that it only reinforces my love for Nami now
Wano Arc spoilers! Don't read if you don't want to know lol.
Wano has been good, but it feels like Oda sort of wrote himself into a hole with most of the Strawhat crew. Usopp is completely forgettable outside of some heinous crap he did. Nami doesn't get any stronger AND she has to rely on Big Mom's power to upgrade her weapon. Chopper is Chopper, the doctor. Franky is kind of just there (fans actually pointed out that he and Luffy hadn't said a word to each other in the manga in like 200-300 chapters lol), and Brooke is alright, he gets some time in the light. Jinbe finally joins the crew and it's cool, but it's towards the end of the arc that he actually does anything. Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and kind of Robin get pretty much all of the spotlight in this arc. I can understand Robin and Zoro because Whole Cake Island was all about the others, but dang it sucks that everyone else REALLY gets sent to the sidelines.
Anyway yes I love this series and I will talk about it for hours if I have a willing victim for it lol.
I started watching it and got into it for a while, i'm currently on episode 272 i think, so i'm still not very far, but my favourite character is Sanji, i'm gonna do a cosplay of him at some point! whee

For me I started to see a pattern in one piece that though the characters storylines are unique and fun to watch but...for my taste too many characters story is just overkill for me. So I do not really mind spoilers and it is funny how in the USA showing of it they changed sanji cigar to a lollipop lol xD

Aw man I was tempted to mention One Piece elsewhere. I keep running into that anime, and I have been putting off giving it a chance. I think the art is off-putting. However, I have watched clips from the anime, and I don't think it is that bad- I feel more entertained watching it than I did watching Bleach episodes.
Not only that, but also I share a birthday with one of the One Piece characters. Is fate bringing me to this anime for a reason?

I think you get used to the art after a while! It's pretty good from what i've watched so far! Which character is it? surprised it sounds like you should watch it xp

Actually, I checked his birthday again, and it isn't him after all. I need to check since the internet says it's May 5th.

With how long the story has gone, I think it's fine. I liked that the anime gave love to everyone because I liked being able to relate to what a character's motivations might be for being the way they are. Lol, the 4kids version of it still has my favorite edit which was turning Laboon into an iceberg. Then later when they met Brook and he talked about Laboon, Luffy recalled Laboon despite the fact that it was an iceberg lol

I edited my post. I was misinformed (my apologies). I do share my birthday with some other characters from the series, but I don't even care anymore; I don't even know the characters to mention them.

Lol.. For kids sure censor so many things but still I really liked it overall. I give you props for not giving up on it! Also do you collect the manga or just read it?

I mean I really love One Piece, it wasn't about giving up for me it was more like 'will I die before this series ends' lol. I just read it. If I collected it, I'd be broke lol. Plus I don't have a bookcase to store any books, so they'd just be gathering dust. I have a ton of artbooks, so I do want to get a bookcase eventually.
