I ought to mention that I decided early on to make my profile page work for me.
What I mean is, I wanted to get to some of my favorite places (forums + guilds) easily -- so I made my Profile a functional Home Page.

I know that this is not the usual route for many Gaians -- but after I suffered a stroke in the Spring of 2014, my short-term memory was affected, so creating links to places I like to frequent on Gaia on my Profile seemed like a plausible answer.

Mind you, after my stroke, remembering how to create B. Board links again, was a (re)learning process -- but just as I was able to regain my drawing hand again, and hold a toothbrush to brush my teeth -- I came up to speed on the basic B. Board link codes. As for CSS -- I can dabble a little from existing codes that look easy enough to make small changes (like on my profile, for link colors, changing the background graphic to an abstract textural one that I created in the GIMP, and getting the background image proportions correct) cat_xd

But I think working with digital arts is a continuing learning process -- one that I am enthusiastic about doing -- at my own speed and ability. heart As it ought to be.

So, I finally got to a little change to improve the aqua-flow of my profile. I revised the color scheme of my Guild link and graphic to match the other cells above and bellow the All Alchemist Unite Guild link cell.



After relocating the All Alchemist Unite Guild title in white lettering against black in my designated image file, I brought this into the GIMP, and changed the background color (black) to dark turquoise. At a higher resolution (400 px) some of the stray black pixels outlining some of the letters could be seen, but at 100 px (the size that we will view this, or a little smaller) the pixel problem does not matter, and the banner looks clean.

Our guild's original graphic on our front page in its cool colors also works well with the turquoise banner, and the only alteration I made to the cropped graphic was to add some tiny faery lights. cat_3nodding

The point of this comment was to show that edits can always be made to improve the flow of an overall design, even if this idea is not apparent at first. With fresh eyes fresh perspectives can be made. ✨
