While Gabby didn’t run the whole way to the little ramen shop, she had managed to keep up a brisk walk, and when she got there, she was quite out of breath from laughing so much…but. That was okay. Breath would come back, and she was having a terrible amount of fun, which was more important than breathing anyway…
Maybe. In some places.
Whatever.
She reached for the door and gave a bow while holding it open for Haru, grinning at him. “After you, new bestie. I think I mentioned that this was my treat, and if I didn’t, this is my treat so don’t be shy if you want to order a lot. Literally everything her is perfect, like…I’ve never had something bad from her…well, but that’s not their fault, I’m not a fan of the enoki mushrooms, but that’s because they enjoy getting themselves stuck in my teeth and making me look like a caveman while I try to dig them out…it’s not pretty…but, other than that. Nothing from here is even the least bit bad!”
Perhaps that wasn’t the best way to sell the place but…
Whatever.

Really, Haruhiko was already glad he'd said yes to this little outing. Gabby was fun, and bright, and she made it easy to talk to her. Besides, the promise of food from a real ramen place was never something he was going to turn down--not only would the noodles be great, there would undoubtedly be delicious sides, and...yeah, okay.
"Don't say that unless you mean it, bestie," Haru laughed, "because trust me, I can put away way more food than this fabulous figure suggests." He gestured at himself, clearly deeply entertained with this whole proposition. "Anyway, I'm not a big mushroom person in general, but thanks for the tip."
God, this was gonna be a fun evening.

Grinning, Gabby followed him inside. “Look, I mean it. I’m loaded. Parents own an island. I can afford to feed you as many noodles as you can eat, no worries at all.” She took him up to the counter and honestly, went rather wild, if Haru wanted to try everything, wanted to put away more food than his figure suggested, then who was she to stop him.
For herself, she ordered a bowl of their Korean fire noodles, not something that she would normally get, but something she hadn’t tried before, and a side of beef broth to go along with it. Spicy wasn’t…really her forte but…hey. It sounded good and there hadn’t ever been anything bad from this place.
When the two made it to a table, Gabby relaxed against the back of the bench and nodded to Haru. “I really do hope you’re hungry. I think there will be enough for leftovers for days. Or, at least that’s my hope. And I couldn’t turn down the cheesecake, I never have the room to eat it here, but Haru, it’s the most amazing cheesecake ever.” Giving a blissful sigh, she watched him.
“So! Tell me about you! What foods to you like? Obviously you’re not opposed to noodles, and tell me, how do you keep your figure so perfect?”

Her parents owned an island.
....Okay, yeah, Haru was not gonna feel guilty about whatever bill they racked up. If Gabby wanted to spend Mommy and Daddy's money treating him to a nice meal, who was he to say no? Especially when the food sounded so delicious.
So, he wasn't shy about loading up--pork belly ramen, bao, gyoza, shrimp tempura, the whole works, with a mind to making sure he had leftovers at the end of the night. Might as well make Gabby's island-owning-rich parents pay for his lunch tomorrow, too, since the opportunity was in front of him.
Or maybe for a couple of days worth of lunches. This opportunity wasn't exactly easy to come by, after all.
He flashed Gabby a smile, and an easy nod. "I think I sohuld be fed on this for a good long while. My sister, too. She'll definitely appreciate all this. And,. ugh, the cheesecake sounded irresistible, I'm with you, I'm gonna have to try it."
Her question made him laugh, a little.
"I keep this figure with good old exercise. I've been taking a pole dancing class lately because it is fantastic for the legs and the core. A real workout, and a great time. But besides that, I play the violin, and my favorite food is black forest cake. If you've never had it, please do, it's divine."

“I own a flute and have worked at playing it a little bit, maybe one of these days I’ll work a little harder, but right now…eh. I dabble. I dabble in flute. Pole dancing? Where do you take classes at? I’d love to sign up too, we could go together if you’d be interested? That sounds like a lot of fun!”
It really did, and as Gabby took a sip of her green tea, she nodded eagerly. “Black forest cake is fantastic, I agree with you completely, I ride horses, I have a lovely one named Meadow, and she’s ugh. She’s beautiful. I love anything and everything to do with horses honestly. I took the horse girl path back in elementary school, most people I know went with dolphins but, horses for me and I never looked back.”
She grinned and scratched her head for a minute. “Do you ride? If you do, I’d be glad to take you to the stable sometime, there’s some horses that we can borrow, I bought one for my friend a little while ago, and I’m sure she’d be okay if you rode her, her name is Portabella and she’s beautiful.”
Pausing, Gabby shook her head. “The horse is named Portabella. My friend is Aria, I didn’t…want you to think that I was just. I’ve been talking about a lot of mushrooms, I’ve noticed. Ah well. Do you ride? Would you like to come riding?”

"I can take you to the studio where I take classes on Saturday, if you want? It's every week at ten AM, teacher's a great lady who's been doing it for years, and it's super beginner friendly," Haru said. It'd be fun to introduce Gabby to the group; and besides, anyone new was a good time.
He nodded along as she talked, considering the offer. It wasn't exactly like he'd had much occasion to do something like that--as a teenager, his hobby money went to his violin, and as an adult, he'd never thoguht aobut it.
But he was certainly thinking about it now.
"You know, I have never ridden a horse. But I wouldn't be opposed to trying, given the opportunity?" He grinned, amused. "And hey, it's not like I hate mushrooms or anything. If they're a little all over the conversation, hey. Sometimes things just grow like fungi." He shrugged, and then perked up as a waiter approached with their food.
"Ooh, man, everything smells amazing." He sighed, contentedly. "Thanks again, Gabby. I'm glad we ran into each other."
Good god, there were apparently many benefits to being friends with rich people.
