A deeper shadow moved among the night covered forest. A special event had brought the creature to the edge of the forest. The low rumble of thunder slowly rolled across the sky. The creature sat waiting patiently, shadows seemed to drip from it's body. It would come or it would not.
With a sudden crack, the clearing was brightly exposed for several seconds. The creature let out a whoop that was practically drowned out by the corresponding thunder. Where did it come from? How did it? Why did it not stay longer? All questions that seemed to have no answer. That didn't stop it from enjoying the show on display. Night turned so bright!
Across the clearing was a cave. During a pause in the action, the creature noticed a strange light coming from the cave over there. There had never been light in there before. Drawn by fascination and curiosity, like a moth to the flame, it edged around the clearing and peered into the cave to find discover the source of this strange light.

Ari stared at the pouring rain, and now thunder, which he wasn't too fond of, he made his lights on his body shine bright, they were on his ears, tails, stomach, paws. it comforted him in this situation, all alone. He pawed at a stone, and wondered how long the storm would last and how long he would be stuck here.
Ari had been so lonely, he came out here to make friends, but couldnt find a single fox. They must have known about the storm..... He laid his head on his paws and dimmed his light, he was feeling really low. His lights dimmed and he started to fall asleep, he tried hard to stay awake but the soothing noise of the rain was knocking him out.
He passed out, then a crash of lighting, and he jumped 5 feet in the air. "Okay, no sleeping" He laughed shakily. He then heard movement out of the cave. "Is, s-s-someone there? You can come out, I can brighten up the night so it's not so dark." He glowed brighter and brighter until the cave was somewhat lit. He hoped it wasn't a bad person or fox..... He liked his freedom.
