Okay, I have an idea. What if Ximeno, with no human of his own, was wandering and happened upon Ivy's home and started fixing it up, thinking it was completely abandoned. So when she came home, it looked new again. Except for the plants. He didn't know how to care for plants. Only buildings. I'm thinking his late human was a carpenter, and Ximeno works with wood. Maybe he carves wood pieces in his spare time. owo ❤️

Also, he has a son. Séarlas is wild by nature and never had a human, only Ximeno. He disappears for a while then comes back in poor shape. Lots of wounds (he's a fighter by trade.) that Ximeno had to learn first aid because of Séarlas. xD So Séarlas comes to visit sometimes.

Ximeno will treat Poppy with respect and compassion. He will teach Séarlas to be nice too. I think they will both enjoy playing with kits. (Séarlas will play gentle.)
This all just came to me as I was typing, so if you don't think it's a good idea we can go with something else. 🙂

Poppy likely will be returning home to see the new kiddos and would be thrilled for them + a step brother???? For her? Yes pls! She'd be delighted, and a bundle of energy about the entire situation.

Meanwhile, Ivy would be almost instantly swooned by Ximeno fixing up her home. It'd probably be the catalyst for her to finally return and stay. Her home feels warm and whole again. She'd invite him to stay as well, which could turn into a romance and then masks (Aia and Nemesia). Maybe they could even have had a small wedding -- Ivy loves familial ceremonies, but doesn't quite know how humans do it and hadn't asked, so it'd be something personal both her and Ximeno came up with to represent commitment?

After Aia and Nemesia are teens, Poppy will probably wander back out to explore with frequent visits back home. The home is kind of based on a large traditional japanese family estate, so plenty of room for everyone to have their own sections to return to, raise families in, or just have their own part of. :inlove:

Omg I love this. All of this. I want it word for word in Ximeno's journal post. These masks are going to grow up among all this love and compassion not only for each other but also the land and their home. Wowww
(Séarlas prooobably can't stand it for too long, but I see him bringing home a mate and little kits one day. :3
