Definitely beat having to sleep in various office spaces in the Dark Kingdom.
Xyla had been taking a much needed, and well deserved, cat nap in a sunspot beneath a willow tree when something strangely other stirred her from her slumber. A feeling hard to describe as it wasn’t something that could be sensed by any normal powered being as there was no aura attached to it. Rather the potential of such a strength was what drew her out of the pleasant dream she’d been having.
Brilliantly golden eyes scanned the nearby area where mothers with children passed by casually; an afternoon stroll just after lunchtime but perhaps before naps. A small group of teenagers was in an open area set back beyond the concrete pathway, chasing around and kicking a soccer ball just for the fun of it since no goal had been set up. There were dogs on leashes, most of which paid her no mind with the exception of an Australian Shepard which caused her ears to lay flat against her head in warning if it came too close.
After some time the feeling that tugged her interest felt like it was fading and so she set her gaze upon the backs of anyone walking away from her until her eyes settled on a young man with dark purple hair done up in tight corkscrew coils and vibrant violet-colored eyes to match. A handsome young man that was likely not much older than 17, splitting from the group. From the distance she was at, Xyla thought she heard someone ask about water, but couldn’t be sure if that was why he was leaving.
She rose, rolling her shoulders she stretched, claws digging into the earth beneath her as she arched her back, tail lolling from side to side until the last remnants of sleep had left her.
For the next hour she had followed him at a distance, not really bothering to hide her presence; which might have been a mistake but she didn’t want to lose sight him. When he went into buildings where she could not follow, Xyla waited outside patiently in a shaded area for him to re-emerge.
In the moment of idle observation, she pulled from her Subspace a silver pen with a blue crystal tip which was opened up into a tablet that was laid out in front of her where curious eyes could not see. A message was sent to Axinite, a request for the company and possible aid to recruiting a new abled body into their ranks.
Quote:
Axinite, my General King.
It is of my firm and honest belief that the Castle is too dark and dreary of a place for such a beautiful day. Spare me a moment without delay and I am certain you will find a reason to stay. A new recruit I might have found. But I need your voice to bring him around.

The door opened after she had sent the coordinates to her current location. Street lights had turned on even though it was still partially light out and she hoped that the Sovereign might show up as a civilian if able as to not draw in any unwanted attention. His uniform might be passable as formal attire for a military function and she could at least dampen his signature if necessary. But for now, she felt it necessary to try to keep the boy from wandering too far from where she had told Axinite they’d be.
Her pen was stowed away in her subspace pocket as she lept graceful from her perch and approached the young man; circling around his feet she brushed against him, tail wrapping around the side of his leg. Intelligent yellow-moonlit eyes looked up at him, a knowing grin, a friendly face to let him know she was friendly and worthy of whatever attention he might bestow upon her.
