Having an alien in the house was... weird. Which was funny, considering she'd been living with a small furry one for years now. Liryn, at least, looked like a cat, something she was quite familiar with. Selinur... did not. A human with ears and tail took some getting used to, but Orah was determined. He had come from a dead world all the way to Earth to find help, and she would do her best to give him the help he needed.
The spare room in the apartment had been one easy solution to finding him somewhere safe to live, at least for now. She share it with a Mauvian and another Senshi, so there was no need to hide him away while in the apartment. When they had arrived home for the first time, she'd spent a good while showing him the guest room and how everything in the bathroom worked, before she'd fed him a good meal and let him crash in bed.
The days after had been something of a whirlwind of showing Selinur... Ash, as she'd found out, what life on Earth was like. Buying him clothes, showing him how to use the kitchen and making him foods to try... She'd been reluctant, at first, to take him out on patrol with her until he had built up some strength again, but she suspected he wasn't going to be put off much longer... and he needed to get out of the house.
Leaving him to sort himself out with some new things she had brought home for him had left Orah to sit alone out on the balcony with a pot of tea, her regular cat Lola on her lap, and... brood. Ash was a good distraction, but her mind kept coming back to the problem of the dead spots. They had shown up on a concerning number of worlds, and now Earth? An as far as she knew, nothing had worked to fix them. There had to be something they could do about them... but her thoughts just kept circling and coming up blank.

Finding his way around the apartment, from the bathroom to the kitchen, had been a very interesting task for Selinur as it was so very foreign to him. Ida had, thankfully, showed him how to use things over time and he'd thanked her numerous times. The kitchen was one place he was unsure of the most, though he was working on that, the bathroom though...he liked the warm baths he took in the evening before laying down to rest.
He was however becoming ansty in the apartment, especially when he knew chaos was out there and growing stronger. His own home planet also needed his help. He needed to do something!
He had however noticed Orah, Ida when she was powered up, seemed to be troubled by something. As a person who had grown up leanring to observe people, to learn what they said...but didn't verbally say, he knew somsething was going on. As he finished dressing in something comfortable he headed for her room, knocking gently on the door, it was time to see how she was doing since she'd helped him so much. He knew something was going on and she was his host, as well as a fellow senshi, he would help her if he could.
"Orah?" He called out, ear pressed to her bedroom door as he tried to hear through it. This wouldn't have been an issue back on his planet...but alas it was an issue on Earth. "Are you busy?"

The knock drew Orah out of her thoughts and she set them aside as she sat up, soothing the cat on her lap.
"I'm out here, Ash! On the balcony!" She called. "You can come in."
It really was proving useful that she and Arian had decided on a three bedroom apartment when they moved in together, than just two bedrooms. The extra had always been intended to house others who needed somewhere to go, and they had played host to a variety of people over the years. It was a very good thing that she'd been able to offer that room to Ash this time... she wasn't sure what he would have done, on his own, with features so clearly not human.
Her fingers combed through Lola's soft calico fur and the cat stretched happily across her lap, fully enjoying the attention and purring enough Orah could feel the vibration in her thighs.

Stepping into Orah's room he headed right for where he spotted her relaxing. Rather than taking a chair the fox eared male sat himself on the floor under his feet, it wasn't uncomfotrtable for him, and stared up at the female. "Something is bothering you. I can see it, I'm good at reading people." Very good, as he had to be, he hadn't told her a whole lot about his planet or his epople but he had mentioned that it was dead - nothing lived there.
"It might help to talk about it." Plus he did want to know what was going on, he felt a need to know, it might be important not to mention he just liked knowing everything he could.
Reaching over to gently try and pet her cat, letting it sniff at him first. While offering his hand to the cat he wished for his own senses back, not for the first time, he hated how dull they were on this planet. It felt like someone turned a dimmer on the whole world and left it like that.

As Ash came to sit on the floor, Orah watched him and felt a small smile curve her lips as her cat reached to sniff his fingers with interest. It had been surprising that Lola hadn't felt or acted at all threatened by the strange man in their house. She might have met plenty of people in her life thus far, but it still surprised Orah that she could so blithely accept someone who was not human. The resilience of animals, she guessed.
"Recently, there have been areas of dead vegitation appearing here on Earth and on other planets. I've been approached by many other people, both senshi and knights, who had seen them and wondered what they were. I've gone along to their worlds to see them, and they're all exactly the same... Dead plants in a blackened area, their stems turning to ash when touched." She said as she ran a hand down Lola's back, soothing herself with the feel of warm, soft fur. "And then more recently... monsters have been coming out of these dead spots. They're familiar monsters, ones I've fought before. They appeared, years ago, on Ida and my planet called other senshi and knights to it to fight them off. We found them on a few of the other Koronis worlds too... worlds that used to be allied with my own in the past. We called them Blight, but I'd never seen them on worlds other than ours... and now something has happened, and they're infesting so many others."
She sighed as Lola shifted, feeling her unease. "When we faced these in the past, we found their core and destroyed it, and that destroyed all of them. But now... with it being on so many other worlds, how do we find the core for these monster? Is there just one? Is on Earth, or one of the planets? I have as many questions now that I know what it is, as I did before when it first appeared."

Leaning back as he listened to her, took in what she was saying, the ancient blond tilted his head a bit. "That is troubling...that is has not only returned but it has spread, somehow, to other planets. With no trade going on and people not going between plants it is hard to imagine how it has happened....though I can think of one way, if it is something which spreads like illness does. Perhaps it came here, back to Earth, with someone and other senshi and knights here brought it to their home worlds than." It would explain how it spread, sort of like a cold or something similar, it was one logical way for this to happen. Had these planets been alive and trading with each other than he'd be pointing to that, for obvious reasons.
"Is there any way to find out where it hit first? Or perhaps see if there isn't a core here on Earth? I would think if it started somewhere in space, if my idea is the correct reasoning, than the core would be somewhere in space - where it started." Though he could be wrong, and he knew it, it was a good idea though he felt. It was worth looking into.
"It reminds me of my homeworld, in a sense, but not the same. No blight or monsters but a dead planet...devoid of plant life and every other sort of life." And he didn't wish to see that happen elsewhere. These planets, the ones with senshi and knights living here on Earth, needed to be restored not die totally.
"I now understand why you've been acting as you have. There are things we can do to try and find the answers to this probpem." She didn't need to worry so much, he was sure of it, they'd find a soluition to the problem.

Sighing softly, Orah rolled her shoulders, her warm brown eyes dark with worry and some measure of guilt.
"The very first time they appeared was years ago, on Ida. But, we destroyed their sourced and the whole thing was destroyed, all of the monsters gone. Ida healed. Then we found it on other Koronis asteroids, ones I'd never been to before. Each time they appeared, we destroyed them. Its... possible I might have brought something to Earth, but then it would have had to pass from me to the other Koronis and be carried to their worlds." She said, trying to keep the imploring whine out of her voice. She didn't need to justify herself to him... Ash wasn't blaming her for anything, she knew he was just trying to help her reason it out. "But if that was the case, why didn't it show up on Earth sooner? Why only out on the asteroids? And then, why did it stay dormant for years, and only now start showing up again, but this time so much more wide spread than before?"
She shook her head, feeling helpless and frustrated.
"I don't know what planet it started on this time, if all of this is different from what I... we faced before. Its just so much more wide spread on Earth than anywhere else."

"The second astgeroid it appeared on...had that senshi been to Ida? Had the others who had it appear - had they been to Ida or to the second asteroid?" Seeing as no one knew how it happened on multiple places he was wondering if it passed around somehow, if that was possible. Whatever it was there were, he assumed, no samples or anything to study and perhaps no information on it aside from verbal information. It wasn't a lot to work with, and would lead to a lot of assumptions, but it was something at least. He could make guesses and toss out ideas at the very least.
"That is the concerning part. Not enough is known to explain, if my idea is even poissibly correct, how it laid dormate for so long before rearing it's head on Earth and now elsewhere. I wonder if it could also be something that has exsisted since before your planets and homes all fell...if it has beenw aiting for something to trigger it. That would than bring to bare to question of what triggered it both times. You'd have to figure out when it started, both times, and if anything significant happened right before both start times. It is a lot of information to try and gather and, I assume, would be near to impossible to do." This was why information, collecting every little bit of information, was so important and his people had seen that importantance. It could help them but also be used as a weapon, or a threat, if it was ever needed.
"Perhaps though we shouldn't worry about that right now. What we can do is grab samples, learn from it, and fight it. There is no doubt that it needs to be destroyed and so we need to focus on that. But, seeing as it's happened twice now....we need to learn about it - as much as we can." In order to see what they could do to prevent any other potential incidents with it.
"You should not worry so much. This planet is blessed with many senshi and knights who are here to help. The burden is not yours alone nor is this your fault. With more people to bring together a solution can be reached faster, and easier, than just you trying to solve it." Here he was promoting working together meanwhile his planet had never done such, he'd obviously grown a bit in his alone time on Selinur.

Reaching for her cup of tea, Orah cradled it in her hands and brooded down into the green liquid as she listened to Ash go over the same questions and reasoning she'd gone through, with the same questions. She shrugged as she listened, thinking back to the first time they'd fought the Blight.
"I don't know, really, who has been to Ida and then back to their world, and then developed the dead spots." She said, shifting uncomfortably in her chair at her thoughts. The balcony was a soothing place, open to the sky and looking out over the lights of the city. Plants in pots dotted the edges of it, sitting up against the railing to break up the view of industrial buildings with the softness of growing things. Usually, it helped to sit out here when she wanted to gather her thoughts. Tonight, it wasn't helping as much as it usually did.
"When we first fought the Blight, I was... trapped. Unconscious on my asteroid. It was the asteroid that called for help and pulled people to it, and they were the ones that fought the Blight and freed me. I know I didn't see or meet everyone who showed up, and I don't know which of those went directly back to Earth or back to their own planets." She shook her head and dark hair brushed her cheeks, falling softly over her shoulders. "I can't track that on my own. We'd have to hunt down everyone who had been there, and I just don't think we have the time for that."
Orah offered Ash a soft, wan smile at his assurances and she nodded, feeling a measure of comfort in it.
"I appreciate that you're helping with it. I appreciate everyone who is trying to help. You're right. There are things we can do, and we'll do them, as best we can. We'll figure something out." She had to had confidence that they would. That was the only way they were going to succeed.

It was already a daunting amount of work to figure out everything, made harder by the fact that Ida had been unconsious. How they could even get all the answers seemed impossible, even to him. He was good at gathering information but with so much missing, and impossible to get, this made a challenge even for him.
"There are always things we can do - we just need to do them." That sounded easy, and for the most part it was, but it wasn't always easy...like now. "I won't see this planet, or any others, become like my own. I will help where I can seeing as I am here on this planet as a senshi. My main priority will be saving my own world however." Which was understandable. Senshi and knights here on Earth were working to save Earth but also their own home worlds and wonders. He was no different aside from which order his priorities were in. But he'd not been born here.
"We can try and track down who you know was there, on Ida, and see who they reemember being there. We'll work on connecting with as many people as we can. If you want, of course." He wouldn't normally add that last bit, it was an unnessacery but it was polite in this case. This was a matter of a problem which had occured on her planet. It had not been easy for her, surely, and he was trying to work on being a touch more understanding with things. Moving closer to the railing he peeked out into the city beyond. This place was nothing like what was back home on his own planet.
He wasn't sure what he thought of this place but he knew he had to help here. He couldn't not fight...he couldn't allow chaos to keep such a strangle hold on this planet. There had to be something special about this planet, he was certain of it, so it needed to be saved for that reason as well. This blight couldn't continue.

Orah smiled wanly and nodded, crossing her arms over her raised knee so she could rest her chin on them. Looking out over the city, she had to wonder how much more she could do that she wasn't already doing. There were always questions and not nearly enough answers.
But Selinur was right. They just needed to do what they could do.
"Thanks for your help, Ash. I really do appreciate it." She said softly. With all he had to worry about with his own planet and his uncertain place here on this one, it was a lot to ask him to take on still more... but he was. Like a good senshi, he stood up and shouldered his duty. She could only use that inspiration to keep doing the same.
They'd find a way to fight this. She had to believe that.
