Race Geian/Yaeli
Appearance Hair - Lazuli keeps his hair short and in this style. He has the hair color third from last on the Yaeli hair color chart - █. He does have highlights of lighter shade throughout his hair as well.
Eyes - Color of Lazuli's iris is 7th from the left on the Geian's eye chart - █. He does sport the Yaeli black sclera though. His eyes are also slightly upturned.
Ears - He managed to get the rounded ears from his father's side. (Though he does have both of them pierced and proudly wears gem studs in them.)
Skin - Lazuli's skin tone is the last color block for the Yaeli's color chart - █.
Cystals/Markings - He did manage to inherit markings from his father, though he is aware they will not spread like his full blooded family members. Lazuli has these markings on his neck in the last color for the Geian's markings color chart - █. Though he does have Yaeli crystals as well. His crystals are rough and asymmetrical in shape, usually found in clustered groups rather than singular. Some of his crystals look like a crescent moons and hug around a few of the smaller ones.
- Lazuli has a linear, curved scar under his right eye. It starts under his eye on his cheekbone and goes back toward his ear but stops before it meets his hairline.
Clothes Lazuli wears a stiff collar long sleeved shirt with embroidered designs - like this. Though in Geian colors.
Path Unknown
Personality Imaginative - Lazuli grew up having his imagination encouraged and cultivated by his father and aunt. So he uses his imagination to come up with solutions to problems. Typically his solutions are a bit more extravagant than a more simple one but they work just the same and Lazuli is always proud of them.
Gratitude - Lazuli shows a great deal of gratitude toward all those in his life that he feels are important. His aunt is treated more like his mother and she gets the respect of that title both from him and any that get to be called his friend. All friends know how much he regards their friendship as well.
Talkative - With the encouragement that he grew up with Lazuli has become rather comfortable in talking with others. He can strike up a conversation with strangers no problem and enjoy their company. His father has even told him he could get a stone wall to talk to him if he tried hard enough.
Lazuli tends to ignore any bullys. He knows that he looks different from the others but he doesn't see that as a disadvantage by any means. He values the differences in people since they can easily have a better or unique way of thinking.
He hasn't asked about his mother since he was about five years old when his father told him what happened and why his mother never came to see him. Lazuli was saddened by the news but he understood that his mother didn't want to disappoint her family.

Lazuli is the only child of Garren and Triia. Triia, his mother, was swept off her feet in a whirlwind romance. Her naivety landed her pregnant rather quickly. Triia's father was less than pleased with this and even less so when he discovered that she'd been 'tricked' by an outsider. He viewed the child she carried as a curse. Garren hadn't wanted to have a child so young but he didn't leave after hearing that his fling was going to give birth. Instead he stayed nearby.
When Triia gave birth her father came in after the baby. He held his grandson in his arms while holding a knife to the infant's face, despite Triia's cries. He intended to rid his family of the curse to save them all. He cut deep into the child's face and was only stopped when Garren came in. Garren de-escalated the situation and got his son away from his murderous grandfather with the promise that he would take the child away and never come back.
Triia was heartbroken by this but made no effort to argue since she knew her father was furious. She didn't even get to kiss her son goodbye as her father was watching with a strict eye.
Garren took his son, who he named Lazuli since he was precious to him, and left Yael. He didn't want to chance his son running into his maternal grandfather and ending up injured farther. Back in Belrea he introduced his son to his own family. His parents were surpised to see the hybrid boy but did not turn him away. Garren's sister, Aliua, helped to raise the boy since Garren had to travel a lot for work.
Despite his being away all the time, though, Garren did spend his time with his son when he was home. And he spoiled him with gifts to make up for his absences.
