She had convinced her mother to at least get up early with her and train a bit like they used to do. Of course that also meant that Ariya was a bit moody. She knew her mother wasn't a morning person. She'd prefer to sleep in and then maybe get a bit of exercise in before she lounged about. Getting her mother to do much of anything was hard unless one asked just the right way or bribed her.

Ariya 1
She yawned as she made her way out to the side yard where the family would do their morning workouts. Or any workouts really. Unless they needed to go for a run or had plans to utilize the trees around them.
Her oldest daughter had asked her to workout with her this morning and while she had agreed since it would be spending time together, she was not thrilled about the early hours. If one were to call mid morning early.

Seeing her mother yawning made her chuckle. “What’s wrong? Did mama Ujana not make you keep up the routine?” Now she was really curious as to what they did when she was gone. Ujana had always been the one who liked to do things and keep moving, while Ariya was the lazy bones.

She grumbled slightly before she waved her daughter off a bit. “You shush. Ujana did plenty to make me work out. Mostly I helped when I could at the tavern.” Of course she hadn’t done that in a long while since her partner had decided to up and take off. A sigh left her and she looked around at their house and yard.

"Uh huh." She wasn't so sure about that one. It looked like her mom had been allowed to be lazy again. It was a wonder to her that Ariya had made it to the status she did with such little training or effort. Then again she'd not really seen her mom in battle.
"Where is she anyways? I figured she'd have you up and doing things." She was curious about where Ujana had gone.

She gave another yawn, this time with a full body stretch. Ariya needed to pull her muscles loose if she was going to be doing much of anything. "Ujana is traveling. I don't remember where her destination was. I think its written down somewhere." In case she needed to send a letter or something she had where her wife was going to be she just couldn't remember it off the top of her head.
"She'll be back. Don't worry." She waved her daughter off as she moved over to pick up something in the yard. It was in the way if they were going to do exercises.

"Traveling?" Well that was new. Kinda. She knew Ujana liked to move around and be active. Traveling would certainly give her that. "Maybe I should have taken her with me when I left then." She joked.
The reason she hadn't mentioned it to Ariya was because she knew it would be too far for her mom to want to go. Ika had been too young and without an adult that either of their mother's knew or trusted it wasn't likely to happen.
"You think she'll bring home good gifts?" She watched her mom move something out of the way before she too started to make sure they had enough space to do what she had planned.

The mention of taking Ujana along to whatever little hairbrained idea she'd had made Ariya stop what she was doing and eye her daughter with a very bored expression. "You shouldn't have gone, let alone taking anyone else with you. Brat." She huffed a little but said nothing else on the matter. At least Subira was home.
As gifts were brought up she snorted. "I'm sure she'll either send some home or lug them in when she comes home." Ujana spoiled the kids every bit as much as she did so she had no doubt there would be something to give them.

She grinned a little, reaching up with her right hand to rub at the side of her neck. "Fair enough." Subira wasn't going to argue with her mom. She'd missed her family during the trip and the fact that it had taken so long made it worse.
"Oh, you're right. How much you want to bet she does both?" Subira laughed at that. She could easily see Ujana sending something and then forgetting that she sent something for everyone and buying something else to bring back. "Wish I knew where she was, I could send her a note and tell her about the best places to visit." Since she'd gotten to travel through a few places she had her favorite spots.

The likelihood of Ujana doing both was high, so she didn't even bother with that one. Although she did give her daughter a bit of a look when she mentioned that she had some good spots in mind for certain areas. It was just a reminder that her child had traveled without either parent before she was an adult. "Brat." She repeated.
When the yard was cleared she stopped to put her hands on her hips and look around, admiring the fact that it was tidied up. "That was plenty of exercise, right?" She hoped her daughter wouldn't say they still needed to do other things. Ariya might be capable of doing more but that didn't mean she wanted to.

She ignored the 'Brat' comment, knowing her mom was being cheeky. However, when Ariya tried to get out of doing more than simply picking up the yard she snorted a little and shook her head. "Nope. We're going to do a workout." She grinned.
Of course she knew her mom would complain about it but that was half the entertainment.

She deflated a little bit when Subira clearly wasn't going to give in. "Alright fine." While she still didn't like being overly active she wasn't against spending time with her children doing what they wanted or liked. Plus, it somewhat reminded her of when Subria and Eurig were little and they would wake up every morning to train with them. The twins had gotten off easy since they hadn't had to do that.
"What kind of workout did you have in mind?" She was curious to know just how much effort she was going to be putting in.

She thought about it for a quick second before she smiled and pointed to an empty space in the grass. "Lets do some stretches to start off with." They never hurt and would be beneficial to anything else they decided to do later.
"I was wondering if you talked to Eurig lately." She figured a bit of small talk would help keep her mom's mind off the fact that she was doing physical activities.

“Not recently. Last I’d gotten wind he was a guard of some caravan.” Letters were scarce when Eurig was working. Ariya didn’t mind so long as she got letters. She worried about the boy. She worried about Ujana too, but there was consistent communication between the two while the other traveled. Ariya usually felt exhausted by the time she was done reading Ujana’s letters. It made her feel like she was traveling herself. All those places Ujana went.

“Oh.. Well, we trained him well enough. He’s probably the scariest guard they have.” She smiled at the thought of her cute little brother being a big scary guard. While she couldn’t see it without actually seeing it she did trust the training that he’d gotten. Between their mom and mama, he would be one of the better ones for sure. “I hope he’s doing well then.
