It had been a while since Ryan had checked in with Alex, he was sure he sent a note to inform him off the birth of his twins and furthermore the birth of his newest son. but he hadn't seen Alex since he given him the new that his husband had secured a surrogate and they would be having a baby. He told Alex that he was going to new some time to focus on his family and he'd went on his way. He didn't know how much time he would be given, but he figured with his son sleeping through the night and nearing four months old, he'd check in with Alex. He didn't want to push his luck and he felt eventually the issue would be pushed of his duties to the negaverse. He sighed as he headed up to Alex's front door, hoping the man hadn't moved, elsewise he'd have to try finding him at night and that would be infinitely more difficult. He had no idea anymore when and where Beni would be.

Alex had infact been home, lucky for the person at his door, he'd been sitting on the living room couch with a large flimly text book in hand. He'd gone back to college, again, for botany this time in the hopes it would provide a good job once he'd managed to get his degree. As the doorbell rang he set the book down and got up, slowly, and headed towards the door. Cadha only lifted his head, not bothered by his owner getting up and doing things.
Socked feet wandered silently across the carpeted floor to the door, Someone was out there but with the door being solid wood he couldn't see who. It had never bothered him to not know who was at his door, he could handle himself if a burglar was trying to get in or something else equally dangerous and stupid. He was not expecting Ryan at his door though, he hadn't seen nor heard from him in a while.
"Well, this is a surprise. What can I do for you?" Already stepping aside, not wanting to have any sort of conversation outside, the ashen blond motioned the other inside. His living room hadn't changed much ,maybe different candles and a different throw pillow here or there...but it was otherwise the same rich, comfortable, living room it had always been.
"Have a seat, I'll get a drink for you if you'd like." Already moving through the living room and towards the kitchen, assuming the other would shut and perhaps even lock his door.

Ryan entered the house and locked the door behind him, it wasnt as though he hadn't been there many times before. He was the type to drop in whenever he saw fit before he married his husband. He plopped down on the couch, sitting back, "just checking in boss man. Id rather not have you come a looking, if its all just the same. The twins are one and our youngest is finally sleeping through the night. Though I'm surprised I'm able to be away this long without a call from my husband ... the brood is a little attached." He stretched out, all to comfortable, despite the fact that he hadn't seen Alex in well over a year.

"Mmm, I've heard children can be that way." And perhaps it was one reason he'd never entertained the idea of children, perhaps not as well. He'd never mentioned his disintrest in children before. He'd never had a relationship get to that point either, a shame his relationships seemed inclined to failure. "I don't drop in on people without at least some notice, it would be rude to do so. It would also be akward if I did so and no one were home." Coming out of the kitchen some minuets later with a drink for himself and something for his guest.
"If you just wanted to check in calling would have worked just as well, so you needn't leave the little ones. Unless you were looking to step outside as well?" Get some fresh air, something he could understand someone wanting.
"I take it all is going well though?" He questioned as he took a seat and crossed his legs as he settled into, and got comfortable.

"I didnt mean literally boss man ... youve always been lenient, but are you sure you are alright." Ryan didnt expect the man to show up at his house ... he didnt even recall giving him the new address, it was more a summons he was expecting. If he wanted a word, ignoring the call ... well he didnt want to know if he was honest. "Trust me boss man, I could use a little break from them. Everything is fine though, thinking of starting a new photography business, even though I do not really need to work." "What about you, the house is awfully quiet and it was the last time I saw you too? How is everyone else, Hunt, Arso, the others?"

Shaking his head he leaned back in his seat and managed a smile. "I'm doing as well as can be." He was doing well in the Negaverse, his rank secure and such, he was a trusted General...at least he was certain he was trusted. He hadn't heard anything contradictory from anyone, including the new General King. But for all his loyalty, and business, he'd lost a relationship and rushed another and lost that also. He didn't speak on that though, this wasn'tt he time nor the place. His personal life wasn't an issue and it was his own thing to deal with in whatever manner he chose.
He could lose a hundread relationships and suffer family losses and he wasn't likely to tell another officer if he could help it. It was all his own business and wasn't to get involved in his work as a General.
"That bored? Starting a business for no other want than a break from things at home." Raising a brow he couldn't help himself.
"Hunt has been well, a Captain now. Arseno is buisness with school but a General now." And medical school was no easy task, as Alexandre knew from his talks with the other.
"You do know you don't need to call me boss man, I'm sure I've told you that many a time." And he knew he had. But he also knew it was the others way of talking him, it just made him feel old - so old.

Ryan nodded even though he wasn't sure he was convinced, he wasn't going to ask again. If Alex said all was well, then Ryan would trust him. Despite his rocky introduction into the negaverse, Ryan trusted Alex with his life. Alex had been the best general for him, the thinks. Tolerant and patient with someone who was determined to irk his soul, in the past. Ryan chuckled, "no I'm not bored, but I didn't spend all that time and money in college to no use my degree. I'm just going to open a photography studio ... you know that's my passion." One of his passions anyway, but he'd not been able to do much triathlons in the past few years, as he'd been to busy. Ryan nodded listening, glad to hear the on other's were okay. He would have to catch up with them at some point in time, but that was for another day. "I know, its just a nickname Boss man." Ryan didn't really remember why he'd started calling Alex that, but it sort of just stuck. "If you'd really prefer Ill try not to call you that, but I cant guarantee I'll remember." "I digress however, it doesn't seem like the negaverse really needs me then, huh? Anyway I could start easing my way back in my duties, tentatively. My husband and I wont be adding any more kids to the family for now. I think I could manage a couple nights a week." Would he be able to meet a quote, he wasn't sure, but he certainly be able to patrol at least once a week a minimum.

"Mmm, and following ones passions is important." Much as he had been, he'd been following them for a while now in trying to figure out what to do for a degree and a career. It wasn't always easy but he had a feeling he might be on the right path finally.
"I know, and it's alright. I'm rather used to nicknames." Something he never would have tolerated before joining the Negaverse, before Bazzite. That had been the first person with a nickname for him, outside of his family, which he'd tolerated. Bazzite was gone now though...a knight who might as well be dead at this point. he'd hoped, at one point, to track him down and reclaim him for the Negaverse...to right the wrongs he'd comitted and undo his failures and make them right again. But he'd never gotten that chance and he didn't care any more...he couldn't, and wouldn't, dwell on it. He couldn't let it cloud his mind and play with his emotions more than it had already.
"The war is what it iis...it's at a stand still just as it's always been. Taking shots at each other but nothing significant. The days of big battles seems to have mostly eneded...aside from when the aliens turned up....but nothing has happened since than either. I do wonder if they'll get involved in things later on down the road but I very much doubt it. I believe they'll remain focused on their own goals." And splinter and fracture as a group as they spent more time on this planet, as they got to know the people who lived here. Some would side with senshi and knights and otehrs with the negaverse...some maybe with the dark mirror. Some might not want to leave here...some would. They would lose sight of their goal and remain here...a part of the expanding mix of magical fighters inhabiting the city. They would never return to their home and they'd never save it...he was certain of that, despite what their groups leader said or wanted. Alexandre knew the truth of the matter.
"If you want to get involved again that would be good...I would keep an eye out for the aliens. Some have friends on orders side and some seem to be aligned with us. I'm unsure who is with what side...and even then I suspect their personal alliances to swing and sway as they spend time here...so a friend one night may not be the next. They have weapons but nothing really for magic. Sipping at his drink as he spoke the ashen blond settled into silence than, let Ryan ask what questions he surely had. It would, in his opinion, be nice to have another capable fighter out patrolling even if it would be a rare thing. It would be nice...in case anything did manage to happen in this city.

Ryan nodded and started to say he figured as much, but Alex mentioned aliens and that made Ryan pause. "Woah Bossman, like actual literally aliens from space. Not like knight and senshi with their own planets, but earthlings." He looked and felt baffled, "alright I'll be cautious. If we are dealing with aliens maybe its for the best that I start getting back to my duties. I need to know though, what I'm looking out for. Like ... when you say weapons ... weapons like ours? And aliens ... are they like basically human or are we talking those mars martians you remember that movie ... or heaven forbid ... something on the predator level of things." Ryan wasn't overly found of adding a new layer to this stalemate they seemed to locked in especially if it wasn't necessarily leaning in their favor. He wondered if he should even get involved again. He had his kids to think about and Alex didn't seem to care either way. Still he wasn't sure how it would look with the higher ups for him, a captain, to up and decided he was done and just wasnt going to participate anymore. He did have a real fear of what could happen.

"Yes, aliens from space. They needed our help and we were, apparently, willing to work with them as it would benefit us both. However plans, as usual in this city, failed to go as planned." At least as far as he could tell the plans had failed. The aliens had not gotten to kill their failed senshi and they had not destroyed the senshi and knights - again. However some had been corrupted during the whole event...by force, not something he really prefered.
"Pale pastel skin, elf like ears, odd names and little blaster guns and light blades of some sort. That sort of alien." Which wasn't from any movie he'd ever seen nor anything else. He supposed it was good in some ways...but they certainly stood out when they weren't looking human.
"For now they'll be staying here...either because they can't get home, and haven't worked out how, of because they can't return to a dying planet that's not even real...but the place is dying and they were here to try and save it...something they tried in the ancient past apparently...and failed at than too." Somehow the failures kept piling up and didn't shock him anymore. It was why they were still locked in a stalemate with an opponent they out numbered severly.

"Wonderful ... we've acquired space elves ... but at least they aren't magic slingers." He sighed listening to his boss and realizing they were probably stuck with these new additions to their planet. The bossman didn't seem optimistic about them or the prospect of them leaving. "I will make sure to keep that in mind, should I run into any of them. I should probably go rescue my husband from the kids now, but I'll be around bossman. I will keep you abreast of my nighttime goings on and check in for any more updates. I'm sure there is more I have missed out on, in these last few years." Ryan finished his drink and got up to leave. He had somethings to think about and a plan to come up with as far as his return was concerned.

"No, no magic thankfully." But yes, they did look like pastel elves with weapons. The most interesting thing however wasn't what they looked like, though they did look interesting, it was rather the idea of life in space still exsisting. If they still lived in space so might other planets have life and even senshi and knights, a good thing they weren't here on Earth as well. So why did the senshi and knights here not move up to space and figure their planets out? Perhaps they shoudl work with the aliens and all return to space together and figure it out from there, how to save their planets.
"Yes, it would be good to keep the new addidtions in mind when out at night. I've not dealt with any beond the big event but I'm sure that'll change." In time it would of course, like everything in this city changed. This was certainly not how he thought his life would be when he was fifteen.
"You keep me updated, if and when you can, and I will do the same. Until then, have a good night and keep well." No doubt Ryan had a lot to think about now, he'd dropped a good bit of new information on the other. But he was sure more would happen in time, just wait till the holidays.
