Akane was the first to enter the room for her 'team' for this part of the exam, not that she knew anyone on that list. The young ninja took the spear from her back and laid it against the desk that she was claiming for her own. She to lay the sheet that had the test questions on it at the desk. The Miyanari clan girl was not skilled at taking tests... less it was combat practice or a martial test of skill. She took a walk around the room, looking for something to right with, while also giving a careful examination of the room. There was no one in the room to watch them, so what was the point of the rules? Unless they had another way to keep them in view, but had there been any such devices, then they were placed by ones smarter than she was.
Returning to the desk which she laid her claimed items, Akane produced a pencil from within the desk and began going over her exam. The first question was; 'How many Doujutsu are found in the Shinobi World?'. They were not starting this test off easy, but it was a mental assessment. 'There is Hidden Leaf's two Doujutsu clans; Uchiha and Hyuuga. Hidden Cloud has the Ryuugan. I believe Summit and Snow had combined meaning the Seido...' Her thought process continued as she tapped her chin with the pencil and making a list from the clans she was trained to know of. After a few moments of thought she writes down her answer to the question. Next was; 'What was the original Hidden Village that Feudal Amestris originated from?' This was an easy one as her studies even had noted then the name was changed. She jotted down her answer before moving on to the third question. 'Who were the Perpetrators of the July 4th attacks?' This one was harder, as she was training when the attacks had taken place... and oddly it seemed random and out place that the villages of Leaf, Sand, Katana, and Snow where hit. 'I recall the black armored shinobi, but I do not think much was published about them save their...' Stopping mid-thought, Akane quickly wrote down the answer to that she had come to... thanks to some of her history training. Next question; 'Which villages are unaffected by normal day to night cycles?'. This one was harder as she had not really left Hidden Cloud much... and she knew it was nearly constantly day in the village. The young girl writes down her answers though a few are rather wild guesses. This fifth question was rather wild; 'What village hails a shinobi no taller than a foot, and more squid than human?' as it seemed there were some rather short inhuman clans running about the world. She knew most the inhuman clans were in Hidden Twilight like the; Descartes, Gilman, Therianthrope, and others. Spending a bit of time on this she lets out a sigh and glances out the window of her room. 'This is hard... and rather boring...' She lets out a sigh as she jots down her answer and places her pencil down. Half of the test was finished now, and thus far Akane was doubting her answers at the moment, so she goes over what she has while lightly chewing on her thumb. As she is thinking over her answers the next question comes into view; 'What are the names of the Tailed Beasts?', and she just starts to write down names. Afterall, she was the host of one of the beasts, Chōmei, and though it rarely spoke with her it had parted on her the names of its siblings. Having made it past the halfway point; Akane laid her head over the page while rubbing her temples. Why is it those written exams were far more exhausting than a combat trial? Letting out a sigh, the Miyanari decides that perhaps she should wait, and try to see if others come in... perhaps she could even glean new information from their own answers, if she could be sly enough to cheat and not be caught instantly.

His father Rowan has been a shinobi since before Reed was born. He raised Reed on the knowledge he gathered while traveling through the shinobi nations on his missions. It's always been his dream to become a great and respected leader like his father. Even while at the academy, there were shinobi who knew his father, and extended the same kindness to Reed. He's always had support and has been very diligent on top of that. During his time at the academy, he studied every different nation that he could. However, the shinobi nations have their secrets. Part of his journey is traveling the world to learn for himself the hidden knowledge lying in wait to be discovered. So far, he's done an excellent job gathering information from different parts of the world. His studies have been consistent and thorough in preparation for this exam. As he draws closer to the mysterious location, he notices the sheer scope of the facility is massive, likely to accommodate different phases of the examination. Walking inside, he notices the hallways are somewhat empty, with only a couple of people shuffling in and out of classrooms. This place looks familiar, but also somehow seems to be hiding something big. Feeling his anxieties rise, he takes a deep breath to calm himself as he presses on down the hall towards the auditorium. As he arrives, he listens intently to a familiar-looking face from the Zetsu clan explaining the rules. He tries to glean any important information he can from the announcement before a strange man appears and seems to interact with the proctor briefly before moving towards the entrance with a stack of papers. The proctor finishes his explanation by directing the group to look over their seating assignments on the board. Ready to begin, he accepts the paper from the second instructor before heading into his assigned classroom.
A bit hesitant about stepping into a room full of unfamiliar, potentially dangerous shinobi, he stops before the door. Slowly, he cracks the door, peeking his head inside to take a look. Surprisingly, there's only one other person inside currently. They don't seem to be too threatening, and in fact they seem to be eager for someone else to arrive. Relieved, he carefully swings open the door, walking inside and quietly taking his seat at the assigned spot. Cracking his knuckles, he takes his pencil in hand and begins scribbling notes on the page as he reads to work out his thoughts before writing down his responses. He takes his time to answer each question carefully. He plans to rely on other methods of gaining information only as needed. After all, failure to follow the rules may result in disqualification, and he wouldn't want that. He'll need to be both knowledgeable and tactful if he wants to prove himself here.

[ N ] Sunshine Overload - 3,000 Chakra [ Requires Sunshine Absorption ] ( Spirit+30 Damage | Use All chakra currently absorbed from the sun, increase jutsu by +30 in increments of 3000 chakra stored. | All physical stats lowered -15 each, for 1/2 posts of stored sunlight spent ) The user is able to release all the energy they have gathered from the sun in one big blast from the body. While this blast is powerful it also drains the user physically. The blast is usually about twenty feet high and twenty feet wide in the shape of sphere.
[ F ] Hidden Wind: [ N ] Whip of Light - 2,600 Chakra ( Speed + ½ Spirit Damage | ±10 Additional Spirit vs Defensive jutsu/walls/armor ) The user generates a thin, whip-like strand of yellow energy from their fingertips that can slice through almost anything.
Noting the entrance of the new participant enter the room, Akane lifts her head from the desk and gives a soft wave to Reed. She remains silent as the proctor sits at the desk before the whole class. 'Guess... time is running down. I need to finish these last four questions. Should not be too hard.' The young Miyanari stretches and cracks her knuckles, before picking up her pencil once more.
On to question seven; 'How many villages are a part of Federation?', a moment of silence fell over her as she thought bout the answer to this one. Her hand moved slowly as she wrote down the answer, and moved on to the next question. 'What clan is know to use the doujutsu; Seikakugan?' Is this test for real? This is the third time just knowing that Summit and Snow merged proved useful, and more so when the first question was solely bout Doujutsu. She jots down the answer once more. The next question being; 'What clan uses their own bones as weapons?'. Akane has heard of a clan in Hidden Wind being able to coat their bones, or have them made up of, diamond... and what better weapons than ones that would be so hard to break. Now onto the last question; 'What clan has members born only on the moonless nights of a new moon?' This one was a pretty easy on yet again for her. Akane writes down her final answer before flipping the page over with a soft sigh. She then proceeds to rest her head on the desk again.

Raelyn shows up... and seems to be late, though she had seen Sasaki's name on the board for this group. Her indigo eyes glancing between the two in the room with her, yet neither were her friend from Hidden Katana. Perhaps the young Uchiha was not that late after all. The young woman finding her a seat and begins to fill out the exam as best she could, though she wasn't as confident in her answers as she would like. After she finishes though, her paper is flipped over as she spends the rest her time maintaining her sword, Raijin.
Sanji smirked as the “instructors” rambled on and on. He was already pissed. He didn’t even consider that there would be a written test, and had spent most of his time since graduating from the academy drinking and shooting and things rather than studying, something he had never done and did not intend to start.
He recognized the “instructor” in the sunglasses immediately, making eye contact with a smirk but not saying anything, himself rather enjoying the ruse. He liked that kid anyway, remember how badly he had shredded that pretentious silver-eyed ******** in the Academy. He shot a wink in Lucius’ direction, though it was likely unseen behind his curtain of bangs.
He followed the group into his examination room, and took a seat near the back of the class, his plan already in place. He waited, doodling on his paper, waiting for someone’s pencil to stop moving.
When he heard the first person finish recording their answers, he simply stood up, walked up to Reed Hawthrone (though Sanji did not know this until he looked), and stood menacingly behind their back, copying their answers.
If they refused to share their knowledge… well, his pistol was clearly in sight.
When he finished, after only a few moments, he would pat reed on the head.
”Thanks, kid.”, he said, before returning to his seat and continuing his doodle.

Sasaki Daimyo Sasaki sat in the classroom, clearly stumped by the questions. Sure, she had some experience in the world and was not a total idiot, but when it came to book learning, she sort of failed in that department. It was of no fault of her own, just that her Village did not pride itself on those who used ninjutsu and fancy techniques beyond the crafting and mastery of swords. This was going to be a big challenge for her if she was to work with Raelyn and Tiamat. She had no intention of falling behind in strength to the pair, especially Rae-chan.
Her strength had been in the mastery of a long line of developed hijutsu known as the Celestial Chakra Gates. She had an innate talent for them, but more importantly was her skill with a blade she used in tandem. It was probably where she would shine overall in the more physical portions of the exams, still, she would need to make a passing score if she was going to move beyond this first test, in which she had to struggle with her morality as a noble samurai of the Iron Country, and break into the more ninja-like tactics of stealth and subterfuge.
One of the exam takers, Sanji was boldly using the act of intimidation. Probably not the most subtle way to get the answers, and he even spoke. Such a flagrant display of disregard for the rules only seemed to irritate Sasaki. Then her eyes fell on Akane and Raelyn. Her opportunity to cheat came as she waited for the girls to flip their papers over, before catching a glimpse of their answers and quickly jotting them down as she saw them. This would likely give her a combination of the two's answers, but at this point she was confident it would give her enough credit to pass on to the next round where she could totally kick some a**.

He briefly glances around the room before detecting a mysterious-looking guy approaching him from behind balefully. Pretending not to notice, he turns back to his paper, starting to read over his test again in review. He hears a metal click as Sanji reaches for his pistol. Reed spots the pistol in the corner of his eye before lowering his gaze again to focus on his paper. He stares blankly at the page, too filled with panic to even comprehend the words for a moment. He begins to meditate on his reasons for coming here. Reminding himself that this experience would be a test for him in many ways, including dangerous encounters. A bit calmer now, he starts writing a code on the paper for the person behind him to see. This is a secret message only for the two of them. If he wants to succeed, he'll need to be able to turn to others for help. Perhaps if this person is also interested, they can decipher his message, and understand his intentions. Suddenly, he feels Sanji patting his head. Flinching in surprise, his thoughts instantly question 'Did he see it? I should try asking later.' He takes one more look at the strange shinobi before looking back to his own desk. He worries to himself 'I really hope I don't get in trouble for this.' Trying not to draw any more attention, he returns to focusing on his test, reading over the questions and carefully reviewing each answer.
