Senshi had magic as soon as they started out which, if he were being completely honest, was entirely unfair, because he was a Squire and still couldn’t figure any of it out. Did he have to do something special to unlock it or was he just broken?
It’s not like he had anyone to ask. It’s not like he knew anyone.
…Which meant he needed to go out and make connections. So, he sucked it up and swallowed his pride for just long enough to force himself to go out and try to find another Knight.
Lazurite said she’d seen some–seen a lot of them.
He’d hoped his luck meant that maybe he could run into one of them too.
Instead, a disgusting, slimy, chaotic sensation crept over him while he was in the park. A Chaos signature appeared, too close for comfort–too familiar. It felt like the girl from the other night, except he couldn’t see them.
No matter where he went he felt it, and it got to the point where he was pretty sure he was being followed.
His agitation grew. And grew. And grew.
There were no Knights around. Finally, he stopped.
“Are you just going to stalk me all night or do you have something to say?”

“Just waiting for you to really freak out so I can pay you back for the last time we met.”
Lazurite’s voice was clear and almost amused and she stepped out of the shadows and crossed her arms over her chest, smirking. This hadn’t been her plan, finding this stupid Mars Knight so quickly. Honestly she had hoped to find him when she was stronger, when she was better at everything and hopefully had magic that could do something, but clearly she was unnerving him and that was almost as satisfying as causing pain or…misfortune.
Besides. She could obviously freak him out and get her revenge in the form of his starseed, and wouldn’t that be fun?
Perhaps she’d text Jace afterwards and they could go to get milkshakes again. That had been fun, and the only really good part about the last night she had met the Knight.
“I don’t really have anything to say, but if you’d like to just come here and surrender your starseed, that would make things quite simple, don’t you think?”

“Not for me, no,” he said, narrowing his eyes at her. “What do you even need them for? You just walk around killing people, for what? What could possibly be that important?”
All he’d had to do was see her and his heart was pounding. He didn’t know what it was about her that just made his skin crawl, that made him want to hit her again, but he did his best to reel it in. He was trying to be reserved, ********, Chaos got away with doing whatever they wanted, didn’t they? She was talking about murdering him, as easy as if they were talking about the weather.
“I’m sorry to disappoint,” he said, unapologetic and a little rude, “But I’m not going to freak out. You got what you deserved last time, and I’m more than happy to give you more of it.”

“You’re already freaking out. If you weren’t you would have just ignored me and gone on your way, but obviously I was getting to you. I am getting to you…and now?” Lazurite held her hands out. “Alluring Drop.”
As the magic formed in her palms, she gave a small smirk, illuminated by the soft golden glow. “Now I’m going to get you to me and we’re going to end this. Since you don’t want to do it the easy way. Come on over, Mars. I want to get all close and personal with you. But you know, you could have just told me your name and we could have been friends but you decided to be a smart a**. Hope it worked out well for you.”
Obviously, it didn’t, and she appreciated that.Kyuseisha no Hikari Alluring Drop Lazurite forms a baseball sized orb of shimmering nectar which draws a person’s attention to it, smelling sweet and very alluring. The size increase makes it extremely difficult to ignore. The ball can be thrown or put on herself if she is trying to draw someone closer, and the alluring smell lasts for thirty seconds. She can use this magic twice per battle.

Ah, that stupid ******** little light. He felt like a moth to the flame, like there wasn’t anything he could even do about it. It was just a light! Why was it so distracting? He could think! Sort of. He could talk! He just couldn't stop looking at it.
It had no right to smell that good. What even was it?
His weapon felt almost slippery in his hand. He wanted to hit her again, but–
He couldn’t focus enough to move it.
“Your magic is cheap,” he scoffed, but he was still somehow completely compelled by it.
It wasn’t fair, how she got to start out like this and he had a stick. He needed to break himself out of this, he needed to do something. She was too far away to strike, and in frustration he did the only thing he could and hit the half-staff against the ground.
He’d meant to try and kick some dirt up at her.
Instead, fire erupted from the ground around her.
Quote: Squire Magic: Meninx hits the rod against the ground and an ethereal, fiery lotus blooms underneath a single target’s feet. The sensation of harsh judgment falls on their shoulders, as though they are being harshly criticized by those around them. They will become hyper aware of what they perceive their own flaws to be and will feel mounting pressure underneath the weight of it all. Players can interpret this however they like, but this may include feeling stressed or anxious, and they may feel like they need to prove themselves or defend against the criticisms. The fire is purely aesthetic and can only give the sensation of heat at their heels if the player likes. The magic can affect up to one target and follow them as long as Meninx can still see them; at this stage the magic lasts for 45 seconds.

Lazurite narrowed her eyes and felt utterly indigent at his words. “My magic is not cheap. You’re just weak to beautiful, fair smelling things, that’s all.”
Her anger didn’t last, for this time, instead of just hitting her, this time it seemed that he used magic as well, and…as flames erupted around her, Lazurite yelped, her eyes growing wide and shamefully fearful. Fire wasn’t..something she was…but…
The fire didn’t hurt though, and was actually pretty when she realized she wasn’t literally being burned alive, but then again…she shouldn’t have felt so afraid or shown her weakness to the stupid Squire anyway so that was.
“Really? Looks like you’ve learned some new tricks, but…” Her voice faltered as she watched him, feeling rather awful. Like she should have known better, like he thought himself better than she was which…
Well, that just wasn’t true at all. “You think you’re better than me now that you have some magic of your own, huh?” Lazurite’s voice was full of anger, and barely controlled…something…and…
Oh god. Was she starting to cry? There was no way in hell that she was going to let this stupid, stuck up Squire see any weakness from her, and so in a huff, Lazurite teleported, unwilling to let this continue. Unwilling and unable and…when she was away from him…she felt better.
What an a**.
