It was quite delightful to be able to gather energy without having to touch people, and Lazurite found that it made her quota far easier to fill when she didn’t have to lay hands on everyone she wanted to get energy from. Now, before she had always made sure that they were clean and normally…well. Respectable looking but now…now she could just take it from anyone she pleased.
Take tonight for example, the giggling couple that lay on a blanket, gazing up at the stars, it was pathetically simple to sit herself against the trunk of a nearby tree and draw their energy from them into a neat, compact ball that she was rather proud of. It was almost her full quota for the week honestly. Sure, she had drained them to unconsciousness, but they would just think they had fallen asleep together after stargazing, and perhaps she had done them a favor. Getting frisky out in nature wasn’t…well. It didn’t sound appealing to her, so…why should it be appealing to them?
She felt the intruder before she saw her, and just to add insult to injury, she kept her small glowing treasure of energy in plain sight until she saw the other senshi. “Oh hello! If you’re here to stop me, You’re a little late, isn’t that a shame!”
The energy was slipped into the safety of subspace, and Lazurite drew herself to her feet.
“Might as well just turn…” Her eyes lit on the…the tail that came out from the girl’s fuku and she blinked. “...Turn tail and run. Huh. In your case I suppose it would be literally.”

Too late? Daphne eyed the couple that was currently lying motionless on the ground, as well as the orb of energy that was glowing in the fist of the- the senshi, it had to be a senshi, even if the Chaos was coming off of her in waves and her chest was cracked open in a way that she had not seen with the Dark Mirror senshi she had met. The comment about turning tail made Daphne's lips twitch. Was that really all people ever saw about her? No, she wasn't human. Yes, she had a tail. They needed to get over it. As much as the whole situation made her want to run in kicking and screaming, there was probably a smarter way to go about it. "Kinship," she whispered under her breath, holding out a hand. Then, she pouted. "Give it back," she said, softly. " Please." If that wasn't persuasive enough, at least it could be a distraction while she got an attack in.

“It’s just energy. It’ll come back on its own, they don’t need to have it back.” Lazurite paused and stared at the snehi for a moment, frowning slightly as she tried to figure out what had changed. She looked so friendly and…Lazurite wanted to trust her but…that…
That was silly?
“If…um. If I’m right about what I was hearing, they would have lost the energy with whatever they were going to get up to, so in reality um. I just. Took what would have been spent on other activities…”
Lazurite glanced away from the senshi, scowling slightly. “Besides. I get in trouble if I don’t take energy. And it does come back. Starseeds don’t. But I don’t really take those unless I have to like. If someone’s trying to assault me or something but…energy comes back..”
Why in the world was this senshi making her feel so stupidly guilty for doing her job? This…made no sense whatsoever.

Daphne glanced down again, to where the two of them were wrapped up in each other's arms, even in unconsciousness. Some pieces clicked together in her head. She shrugged, anyway. "Personally, I think those activities are very weird and gross," she said, taking about half a step back from the sleeping couple, "But it's up to them what they do with their time, not to either of us." Daphne glanced back up at the Chaos Senshi and considered her options. She could try to sneak a punch in and get the energy back, but this girl was stronger than her, so that was a risk, but she also seemed more willing to talk than some of the others. There were still holes in Daphne's knowledge of Earth that she needed to fill. " Why do you get in trouble if you don't take energy?" she asked. She hadn't gotten a straight answer about that from anyone allied with the Negaverse.

“I agree to be honest. I mean kissing is one thing but I really ugh. They were starting to get really gross.” Lazurite gave a little laugh and took a small step away from the senshi, wanting to stop feeling like they were friends. They weren’t friends and this…was getting stupid.
“Because we need the energy, and it’s renewable, it’s a simple task that doesn’t actually hurt anyone and if we don’t do it, that’s us not following our duties and it’s just wrong…of course we’d be punished for it…it’s like being told to clean something and deciding not to, it’s just something you can’t do, disobey authority. You understand that, don’t you?”
Lazurite gave an almost hopeful half smile and shrugged. “...I hope you can understand that. Now, I haven’t actually ever gotten into trouble before, and I really don’t want to start now. I promise that it doesn’t hurt people. Can I take a little of yours, and give it back so that you can see, if that will lay your fears to rest?”

"Do you always do what people tell you?" Daphne asked. That question didn't come out judgemental at all, she was just genuinely baffled. "Sometimes, the things that people tell you to do are stupid. My instructors back home had all kinds of stupid rules. They wanted me to live with the governing body instead of my family. They wanted me to study so much that I never had time for myself. The general consensus was that I should take lovers." This time, as she stared down at the couple, she couldn't help a slight shudder. "Of course I ran away from them sometimes. Of course I got in trouble, but it was worth it because what they were asking was ridiculous, just like what the Negaverse is asking of you is ridiculous." At least, she was assuming it was the Negaverse based on the way the aura felt similar to that of the agenrs she'd met. She could be wrong. "But, I won't fight you over the energy if you don't take any more tonight. Go be a good girl," she said, and it was only then that she rolled her eyes.

“Well damn right you should have run away from them.” Lazurite looked rather alarmed. “That’s stupid and they were wanting things that were clearly against what you wanted and you should have run away. God, I would have killed them all.”
It was different. What she was being asked and what was being asked of Lazurite. There was nothing asked of her that she wouldn’t do, that she didn’t find easy to do.
“Good. I don’t think I want to fight you. You seem like you have sense.”
Taking a step forward, Lazurite flicked Daphne’s nose, the strange feeling of trusting her fading and with it, the awareness that it had been there in the first place and…
Ah.
Magic.
For a moment, Lazurite almost wanted to retaliate, but instead, she simply gave the senshi a look that was a little hurt and teleported, vanishing into the night.
