"We match! We match! We match!"
Was it the smartest thing to do to sprint towards a corrupt senshi when you were all by yourself and also a wanted traitor from the Negaverse? Nope. It was dumb. Nectaris knew it was dumb.
Was she doing it anyway?
Yeah she was!
It was gonna be extra awkward if this ended up being one of her old teammates, too, but whatever. Nectaris had seen just a glimpse of butterfly wings and that had been all it took for her to start barreling towards the senshi, grinning and yelling about it.
"I mean, look at your little wings! I've got wings too!"
When she got close enough, she stopped, and fluffed up her butterfly cape to show it off.

The voice was unfamiliar, and the aura was one that was stronger than she was, and while the words didn’t sound threatening, Lazurite was more than a little wary, and to keep herself safe, she whispered. “Alluring Drop.”
The magic was tossed onto the ground a few feet away from herself, hoping that it would be enough to keep the threat far enough away that she couldn’t do any damage but…
Then she honestly wondered if this was a threat. Swallowing, Lazurite narrowed her eyes, though they took in the fluttering butterfly wing cape with some interest and then she nodded slowly. “We do match, yeah. Just what are you, anyway? A Knight? You don’t look like a senshi.”
Her voice was rather guarded too but she hummed softly and straightened up, crossing her arms in front of herself and looking the Knight up and down. “You are very pretty.”stari_maga Super Sailor Scout Attack: Alluring Drop Lazurite forms a baseball sized orb of shimmering nectar which draws a person’s attention to it, smelling sweet and very alluring. The size increase makes it extremely difficult to ignore. The ball can be thrown or put on herself if she is trying to draw someone closer, and the alluring smell lasts for thirty seconds. She can use this magic twice per battle.

Oooh, what was that? Nectaris's attention was away from the senshi in less than half a second, and onto whatever shiny, golden thing that she'd tossed on the ground. It was so pretty! It smelled so sweet. She just had to get closer. Ignoring everything else for until she could get closer, she hopped over so that she could stare. It was so shiny. She was pretty sure she could just sit here and stare for a while, but that wasn't quite enough. Reaching out, Nectaris poked the drop with the tip of her staff. It jiggled.She giggled. Then, something clicked in her head. "Wait, is this, like, your magic?" she asked, still staring at it. "Is this, like, nectar, 'cause of the whole butterfly thing? This is so cool!" Maybe she should have been more worried about getting magic used on her, but she was kinda distracted. "So, yeah, I'm a Knight. Of Nectaris, so, like, if this is nectar, we super duper match."

Lazurite paused and looked almost alarmed, though, felt a little…pleased that someone had actually guessed her sphere. That…was definitely a first. “Yeah. Lazurite of Nectar, I’m a little surprised that you could figure it out. Nobody else has done that before so…kudos to you. She gave a little nod and mulled over the name. “Nectaris, huh? That…that’s kind of funny. But what kind of a Knight are you. The colors are so pale, and I like them.”
Pastels were some of her favorites, though she enjoyed the vibrant teal that adorned her own outfit.
“How long have you been Nectaris?”
Sure, she could probe a little, especially since the Knight was obviously distracted, it was a good chance to learn something new, and…this girl seemed as though she really enjoyed talking which…worked out well.

"Oh, I'm a Moon Knight," said Nectaris, 'cause that wasn't, like, something that was top secret that the enemy wouldn't be able to figure out. She was sure there were already rumors going around the Negaverse about her, it wasn't like she had to be super careful about stuff like that. Anyway, there were moons on her moon staff. There were moons on her belt. There were even tiny moons on her shoes. You could say it was a little bit obvious. This girl wasn't immediately pegging her as a traitor, though, so she didn't think that now was the time to talk about all that. "I've been Nectaris for a while I guess?" she said, which seemed like a very smart thing to say because it wasn't a lie but also wasn't giving anything away. "But yeah, your colors rock, too," she said, finally pulling her eyes away from the very shiny nectar to look at the other senshi's clothes. "I'm probably supposed to say, like, you'd look better in white? And like, don't get me wrong, you could pull it off, but you've got some fun contrast going."

A Knight of the Moon! Now, that was one she hadn’t met before…not …that she had met many but. That was neither here nor there and she laughed. “Ew…no, White stains far too easily, Nectaris, besides! The contrast of my outfit is what keeps me coming back, so I don’t think anything could make me want to change it up for something white!”
Lazurite wrinkled her nose and stuck her tongue out at the Knight, feeling a bit more relaxed. “Truth be told, I suppose I shouldn’t be talking to you like this, but we’re clearly butterfly sisters so I’m going to say that it’s allowed, at least for a few more minutes, don’t you think?”
Besides, someone who knew what nectar was and who had pegged it as her sphere…this girl had brains which…was all too rare in the White Moon.
“What about you though, clearly you can see how much nicer butterflies look against black, wouldn’t you want to come join us?”

Oh. There was the question. Honestly, she probably should've seen it coming. That was awkward. "Huh," she said, looking down at her clothes like she was actually thinking about it. "See, the thing is, though, you're a senshi. You get, like, cool butterfly clothes even though you're corrupted. If I went with the Negaverse I think I'd end up as, like, a General, and then I'd have to wear a suit." Now it was her turn to stick her tongue out. "I dunno if I could survive in a suit." She didn't know how she had survived in a suit for seven years, even if it did have puffed sleeves and pink ruffles the way Encke described it to her. Clearly having a butterfly dress was way more fun.

Lazurite tilted her head and nodded slightly. “Fair enough. I can understand that. And I doubt there’d be a way to make you into a butterfly senshi so. Fair enough.”
Giving a long sigh which decided to morph itself into a yawn, Lazurite chuckled. “I think I should be heading home now, it’s getting late and it’s time for good little butterflies to get their beauty rest, don’t you think, Nectaris?”
She gave a grin and waggled her brows at the Knight, feeling…oddly happy. She was nice and this was kind of fun. Butterfly bonding, maybe it wasn’t great but…it worked. And she was getting out of this and through this without any injuries so…that just made it all the better, right?
“Maybe I’ll see you around?”

As long as she was going home and not sticking around to, like, drain energy or generally be evil, that was all that Nectaris could really ask. And, like, she was actually being pretty nice for someone from the Negaverse, so maybe they could go with that, later, like, talk more about the stuff that was gross about the Negaverse that went deeper than clothes being black. "Yeah, okay. I'll be a good little butterfly and get some sleep if you do!" she said. Then she was hopping away from the little nectar stain, and the senshi, and the rest of it, and she was generally skipping in the direction of home. "It was cool to meet you, though," she said over her shoulder, right before she sprang up onto a rooftop.
