They had said they would visit Lysithea when there wasn’t a real…need to…and this was a good time to do so. Besides. Soleiyu had said that it would be good for her to go up to her Homeworld more and that it would help her to heal a bit faster. Hopefully.
Maybe.
Hopefully. She would focus on hopefully as it…sounded better but.
Her eyes flickered over to Ilse and Lysithea gave a little smile, sitting down under a tree and looking up at it, frowning slightly as she noticed that there were new…flowers starting to sprout on it. That. Was different.
And when her eyes caught a small fluttering and focused on a delicate butterfly with wings that were almost transparent and a body that was a pale purple, she drew in a sharp breath. Perhaps…this was the best indication that coming up here was doing so good. If…she had butterflies…if…
Lysithea swallowed hard and looked to Ilse, giving a laugh that sounded half pained. “...Guess…guess it’s getting a little life up here too. Maybe Soleiyu was right and I am helping to heal it…or…or something.”
Drawing her knees to her chest, Lysithea gave a long sigh. “He told me that my starseed was damaged. And that’s why I’m like this and not stronger like I was before…I…I had half figured that he didn’t trust me. But. Suppose I am just broken.”
It was always easy to just. Say what was on her mind to Ilse. It was easy to just let it all go. After all, Ilse had come out of the dark when she did, so they were so very much alike.

Getting to visit other worlds was always a treat, and it was especially exciting for Ilse to get to see Lysithea. This world felt...special, to her, even moreso than her own. Maybe because it belonged to someone she loved.
When Lysithea went to sit under the tree, she followed, and leaned over, putting her head on Lysithea's shoulder without a thought. It was just nice, to be close to her, and to take in all the things that were blooming on this beautiful world.
"Seems like he was!" She said, and she reached up to brush the backs of her fingers against Lysithea's cheek. "But I don't think you're broken." She frowned, a little.
"I mean...it kind of makes sense, doesn't it? You went through so much, getting dragged into the Negaverse and getting out of it." She sighed, quietly. "Soleiyu cares about you, a lot, and I don't think he'd lead you wrong, but, like....havign a broken leg wouldn't mean you're broken, would it? It would just mean that part of you needs some time and extra care to heal before you can do the tango. Or have cute buttwings again."

Lysithea sighed and hummed softly. “I mean. A broken leg is something people can see. A broken starseed…I can’t feel it. I don’t know if he was just lying or what like…it’s not like an injury that I can understand it’s just…listening to what Soleiyu said and trusting him…”
And while she knew that she should trust the Mauvian…well. Sometimes it was difficult to.
“I wonder what my wings looked like before I corrupted. I half want to ask Malus or Michel but. I don’t know. Sometimes they both just. Look unhappy still. I could ask Adria I suppose but…I don’t know. I wish I could remember what I looked like before. It’s…so frustrating to have nothing...you know?”
She glanced towards Ilse and gave a soft, almost bitter laugh. Of course the other senshi didn’t know. She at least had half of her memories from before. Some things to look back on. She knew what she looked like as Ilse no matter what so that was something.
“...I’m really glad that you were there for me when I woke up. I’m glad that you wanted to become my friend…even if I’m not completely clear how you chose me…I’m so glad that you did.”

Ilse nodded. It made sense--it was hard to trust that something was just...wrong with your body that you couldn't see, or feel, or anything like that.
"I don't think Soleiyu would ever want to do anything to hurt you." At least, her impression of the Mauvian had always been that he would do anything to help Lysithea, whatever it took. "And lying to you about this would hurt you a lot."
That was more than obvious.
Ilse hummed, briefly.
"You were really pretty before. And your wings were very cute. I hope that if I ever get mine, they're half as cute as yours were. Will be, again." Ilse wasn't sure she believed she would ever be ready to be an Eternal Senshi. That just...didn't make sense. A pretty little idiot like her, with that kind of power? No way. But Lysithea...Lysithea deserved it.
"You tried to save me. Before," Ilse said, softly. "It's how we met. You tried to help me get out of the Negaverse."

Lysithea paused and frowned slightly. “...Wait. You knew me before I corrupted…? Why didn’t you ever mention this before? I…I tried to get you out of the Negaverse…what…what happened? Why didn’t you come?”
She pulled away from Ilse and looked at her sharply, her frown deepening as she thought through that. “...Did you trick me or something? Just pretend to want to leave? How…why didn’t you get out?”
Not that she was unhappy that Ilse hadn’t gotten out…it had been nice to have the girl with her, even if she couldn’t remember all of the time they had spent together it…was still nice to know that she hadn’t been alone and she hadn’t been alone in leaving which was the part that always gave her the most comfort.

Oh, dear. It was true, she hadn't really properly brought that up before, had she? Ilse winced, guiltily, and sat up as Lysithea pulled away, wrapping her hands in her skirts and tugging.
"No, no, I--it was only for a little bit. We met once, and you chased off a youma that was attacking me, and healed my leg. And I wanted out of the Negaverse really, really badly. You told me you knew someone who could help--Sailor Cosmos." She tugged on her skirts, nervously. "You tried to call for her. But she didn't come. Maybe because of me, or maybe--maybe she could tell that--" Ilse swallowed. "General-Queen Hessonite was there. Waiting. she'd followed me, and she---she did something to me, that messed with my head."
Her shoulders dropped.
"You did everything you could to help me, but we got...really, really unlucky. And you saved me in the end, anyway. I never would have had the courage to leave if it weren't for you."

Lysithea frowned and for a moment, her stomach felt kind of…flippy. The world seemed to rock slightly as what she assumed was a memory tried to get free but was blocked by…the simple fact of being obliterated. “...Cosmos…didn’t…come?”
She knew the name. Knew the face of Cosmos. Could remember the relieved expression when she had come to save her. When she had seemed desperate for Lystieha to be there to be helped…for Cosmos to be there to save Lysithea but…
Why hadn’t she shown up before? That…
That was quite odd…it…
She swallowed and drew in a slow breath before letting it out in a huff and then forced a smile. “I’m glad that you’re here now. I’m glad that you’re with me, and that we’re both safe and both free. I wouldn’t want anything else, you know. Whatever happened in the past…you and I will always be friends in the future. I promise it, and you can count on my promises, Ilse!” The thought about Cosmos…that was one that she swiftly shoved to the back of her mind. Maybe she’d think about it later but…
That would be later.

Ilse shook her head. "I'm sure she had a very good reason! And she came later, when we needed her again." She had to believe that. Because if she started thinking too hard about it, she started worrying all over again--that there was something wrong or broken in her, that had prevented Cosmos from coming the first time.
But obviously that couldn't be true, since she'd shown up eventually. Ilse had to believe that. Had to believe that she could be good, and that she deserved her pretty white dress.
She smiled back at Lysithea, and reached out to take her hands. "Always friends, yes. You're...you're very important to me, Lysithea, and I'm glad that fate or...or whatever else brought us together."
She would have liked for Lysithea to suffer less, given her choices. But that wasn't always how it worked, and things were...pretty good, if you asked her, in the end. They just had to figure out how to get Lysithea her wings back.
