It took a few days before Richard had the free time to show up at the manga shop that Holi worked at. He had figured if he was going to cosplay as a character he should probably at least know a few things about him so he planned on using the visit to ask her if it would be better to pick up a volume of the manga or just watch a few episodes of the anime to get a few of the mannerisms of the character. When he strolled into the shop he had on a normal pair of jeans and one of his t-shirts with the national park logo on it so nothing out of the ordinary there.

--------------

Holi heard the chime for the bell, turning and promptly blushing slightly to see that Richard did come after all. “Rick! Hello! Welcome!” She was beaming with her smile at that point, “How can I help you?” Maybe he wanted to see the source material for his outfit that she was working on?

--------------

He gave a slight wave of his hand and a smile. “I had a question, would it be better to get an idea of mannerisms through manga or anime?” He asked, straight to the point as he walked farther into the store.

--------------

Holi came from around the counter, walking towards where the manga would be. “Soo the anime is complicated. You need a guide~” She pulled out the first volume of Jojo, telling him all about the timeline and where to start, “Anime isnt exactly the same as the manga. So you need to do both really. I can definitely have you come over for the anime, I have it on blu-ray and netflix too!” That would help in pointing out the various differences and mannerisms for the characters. That and she could have Rick try on the outfit she made so she could see if she needed to make any adjustments.

She wasn't about to mention the other reason, just ticking away in the back of her head. That was going to stay in the dark depths where it belonged. Along with this stupid light she keeps seeing. When was she just going to schedule some time to go to the eye doctor?!

--------------

He followed her over to the shelf, giving a hum in understanding at what she was saying. “That fits with what I had heard before about the anime.” He still didn’t plan on reading or watching much of it, just enough to not seem awkward when wearing the outfit, unless he ended up enjoying it he supposed. “That would work, it certainly would be helpful to have you there to explain, I would think.” Richard gently took the first volume from her and looked it over.

--------------

“Alright, welllll you have my number so you can text me when your ready.” and she secretly promised not to lay on his chest like she did the last time. Shaking her head and hoping to everything that his holly that Rick has not noticed her transformation into a tomato, Holi picked up a volume from later on in the series. My favorite characters all come from the Vento Aureo arc. She pointed to Diavolo, Risotto and Bruno. “My top three!” Considering that two of the characters are no so good people, Holi wasn't about to tell him that. Granted she like the “good guys” in Jojo but like most manga and anime, the villains always look more attractive. It was really weird.

--------------

He did in fact notice the blush on her face but didn’t say anything about it. His eyes skittered over the three she pointed out, noting that their outfits would honestly fit right into their world of powers. He was personally glad that his powered outfit wasn’t something that had him chest out normally though. “I’ll have to let you know once I have my schedule for next week then.” He said looking back over to her.

--------------

“Alright! Mmmmnnn….” Holi frowned, deep in thought, “S-So Rick uhhh….” Should she be asking this? Why was adulting hard? “U-Ummn….” She took a deep breath to calm herself, “D-Do you….Erm…A-Are you busy in an hour?” That came out splendid! “I was thinking about going to the park and you work at the park sometimes so…” She looked off, red as a tomato again. “M-maybe we could hang out there for a bit?”

--------------

Richard didn’t have to think very hard on his schedule, after all he had the rest of the evening off and only had a personally planned energy gathering round during the dinner rush time. “In an hour is doable. Anything in particular you wanted to head to the park to do or see?”

--------------

Wow, that was a lot easier than she thought.

Holi blinked, she didn't get that far.

"Not really, no. I was hoping you could show me some cool spots!" She needs more flowers and pictures for her new fairy cosplay that she had in mind. Having someone with her as a guide while she looked would be nice. Going by herself was good as well but…She studied Rick for a second, yeah would definitely be nice to have company.

--------------

“Well I do know a few spots I could show you.” Richard agreed, thinking back to a few different areas of that park in particular. Some were just nice visually, some were good for privacy. The second were the ones he typically ended up visiting thanks to the Negaverse but he wasn’t going to mention that. “Did you know there is a path in that park that leads to a mini waterfall? I had to relocate a family of skunks that had made their home there once.” That one hadn’t been fun, for any party.

--------------

Whaaat!?!

Holi shook her head, most of the time whenever she went to the park she kept to the pathways that were well used so she wouldn't get lost. She was clearly intrigued by this waterfall thing though. "Can you swim in it?!" It was still summer so she would love to take a swim. Maybe she could get some inspiration for a mermaid cosplay!? Yessss! She looked at Rick with hopeful eyes. She could easily go get a bathing suit .5 seconds.

--------------

“The water way isn’t very large so no. There is a swimmable area in the national park I work at though.” He hadn’t been exaggerating when he said it was a mini waterfall. It was only a few feet high and the pool it fed wasn’t that large either. It was still pretty however. “The one at this park is more for decoration and an easy access water source for the animals in the park.”

--------------

Ah well that sucked.

But she could probably take some pretty pictures still. “Okay, no swimming, got it! I will see you in an hour?” Perhaps she should mention where to meet? “Did you want to meet in the parking lot for the park?” She doesn't have a car yet, but the park wasn't a very far walk.

--------------

“The parking lot works.” Richard nodded. He then paid for the first two volumes of the needed manga to read later and with a small wave, left the store. There were plenty of things he could do for an hour to pass the time to the point it would feel like no time at all.
