((Takes place before she was kidnapped))
Elaxi 1
She sat on the beach with the bucket in her hands as she lifted it up so that she could flip it over. Elaxi had filled it with sand so that she could make a castle with it. The little girl wasn't too far away from her family so they could keep an eye on her. Xi had always been told that the ocean was dangerous and to stay close to the adults of her family. With a content little hum she started to work on her castle.

With nothing else to do he was walking along the beach since his cousins were busy and his other siblings were doing whatever it was they did. When he go so far he noticed a family but what he focused on was the little girl with a bucket. She seemed to want to make a sand castle. But he noticed the sand looked dry. Well, that wouldn't work.

When she turned the bucket over all the sand poured out and didn't keep its shape. Elaxi frowned as she looked at the pile she now had in front of her. That wasn't how that was supposed to go. Her eyes went from the pile to the becket back to the pile and her little brows furrowed somewhat. "Why..?"

He chuckled a little at the pile but when he saw that she seemed confused he moved toward the little girl. "You have to add water." He tried to explain. After a second he pointed to the bucket. "Can I?" He waited for her to give him an answer before he did anything.

She blinked as she looked up at the person who spoke to her. Since her family didn't immediately shoo them away she knew they weren't dangerous. So she tilted her head and looked from them to her bucket. What did he mean by add water? Because she was so curious she nodded her head as she looked back at the boy, her hands grabbing the bucket and holding it out to him.

When he was handed the bucket he smiled and took it. "Give me just a sec.." Zohra held up one finger before he turned toward the ocean. Quickly he scooped up sand then dipped it into the water so that it was a bit wet. Once he had that he moved back toward the little girl. Quickly he turned the bucket over and slammed it down in front of her. "Here, this will work better." After he spoke he lifted the bucket up slowly.

She blinked as she watched him go to the ocean. Elaxi tilted her head at his actions and wondered about the water in the bucket. But when he came back over and slammed the bucket down she jumped a little. As he lifted the bucket up her eyes widened! It was standing upright! "So it needs water!" She exclaimed. Xi was happy that she now knew how to make the sand castles she wanted.

He laughed a little but nodded his head. "Yeah, a little bit of water helps hold it together." When the bucket was all the way off he set it aside and motioned to the now standing tower that could be the beginning of the sandcastle.
"Now you just need to decorate it." He looked around the little girl to see if she had shells and twigs to plant her flags but he didn't see them. It gave him a bit of an idea.

Knowing how to get it to stay together was a lot of the problem. She looked from the pile of sand to the tower that now sat in front of her. A grin played on her features. At the mention of decorating it she blinked then looked around. What could she put on her little sandcastle to make it pretty?

He saw her looking around and chuckled. "Here, lets find some shells and some twigs." He held his hand out for her so that they could go looking together. This little girl was a lot younger than his cousin but she reminded him of when he and Sio would make sandcastles while the rest of their siblings swam in the ocean.

She grinned and reached up to take the hand held out to her so that she could get up. Using his hand to help she pulled herself up then dusted off her bottom before she looked down the beach in search of a shell. She wanted to get a pretty pink one if she could. But she did have a question. "What are the twigs for?" Xi brought her attention back to Zohra.

He didn't move when the little girl put her weight on his hand to help her stand. As she asked him about the twigs he chuckled a bit. "Those are for the flags. We can use leaves for those too." He'd done more than a few sandcastles so he knew what to put on them. Zohra moved toward the water and searched for a shell that had been washed up on shore.

So that's what the twigs were for! She hadn't thought of that. Having a flag on top would mean that the castle was occupied! Elaxi nodded her head with a grin. "Okay! Lets find some!" She was having fun playing now that things were coming together. Moving along down the beach she started her hunt for shells in earnest.

He went along with her and started to look for his own shells to add to the castle. When he had four he started to look for little sticks that had washed up on shore. Those would be easier to use than going up to the tress and tring to pick a twig off one of the branches.

She found a few small shells but when she found a bigger one she was too excited to collect anymore. Xi had the perfect spot for the big shell and she wanted to put it there right away. "Look! Look!" She called to the older boy as she ran back to the tower of sand so she could put the shell at the bottom. It was standing up so that it fanned outward on the top and looked like an elegant doorway.
With a beaming smile she looked over her shoulder at Zohra expectantly.
