The Meteor Shower (3) : It wouldn’t be a star festival without a meteor shower! Right on time, a beautiful array of shooting stars graces the night sky. This time of year is unnaturally clear and it’s incredibly easy to see the stars. Most meteor fragments appear to be little white or yellow lights streaming across the sky, but if you watch closely enough you may find that some of them seem to be a whole rainbow of colors. The scientists have reported that it’s just different components burning up as they enter the atmosphere, but there’s something undeniably magical about it.
He had been waiting all day for this, and he knew his nephews had been as well. Currently however he wasn't with them as they were with their parents so the four could watch the meteor shower together. Hyeon on the other hand, had powered up and found one of the tallest buildings in the city so he could sit on the roof up high to watch the celestial phenomenon. He was hoping that with him being up so high it would feel like he was in the sky as well as he watched the meteor shower. Of course he also brought a camera which he set up in a way that it would catch him in any of the frames so he could share it with his family later without worrying if he was powered up of not. Other then the camera, he had brought a blanket and a bottle of water to enjoy during the meteor shower. Looking at the clock on his phone, he knew that it should start at any time now. After sending a text to Seung to ask him to send him updates on the twins reactions, he settled back on the blanket and looked up to the sky.
Not long after he did this he could see the first streak across the night sky. After that the sky seemed to explode with light as the meteor shower started in full. On and on they went across the sky and his eyes darted from place to place to try and see them all even though he knew it would be impossible to actually do so. As he was doing so however, he noticed that some of the meteors had some rather unusual colors, namely they seemed to be all colors of the rainbow. It was a beautiful effect even if he wasn't sure what caused it. Chances were it was either magic, or some science reason that he wouldn't understand if it was explained to him so it might as well be magic. It didn't seem to be a bad thing anyway so he just continued to watch with a grin on his face. When the phenomenon was over he sat there a minute longer to just let it all sink in then got up and carefully turned off the video camera. He hoped that it recorded it in good enough detail to watch it back later.
He soon enough had everything packed away and with one last look to the night sky, he started to roof hop his way back to the house. It probably wouldn't take terribly long to upload the video once he was back then he could go about sharing it with family and friends. The meteor shower hadn't been a world wide event after all so those who were back in Korea would probably enjoy watching it. That thought sent a ping of longing through him and he briefly pondered taking a trip over to South Korea to visit everyone and see how they were doing. Something to ponder later anyway.
