The Fairies (7) : The City has been lit up for the Star Festival with banners and twinkling decorations strewn off the windowsills of shop fronts and windows. The gardeners at one particular park have put their heart and soul into creating a fairy's paradise: Fairy lights have been carefully dangled from trees to make strings of stars, little beaded jewels have been hidden among the hedges, and even the old cobwebs have been sprayed with just a touch of glitter. The park is open to everyone and the citizens of Destiny City have been invited to respectfully explore the hidden wonders that have been placed throughout. The park is magical enough on its own but there have also been reports of a strange, ethereal and shimmering stranger in the park. The glimmer of a beautiful costumed figure fluttering through the park has been passed around as rumor, and no matter what anyone claims to see, no one can take a picture of it. As if simply seeing some magical figure isn’t mysterious enough, there are also reports of mischief and small pranks being played at the same time this figure seems to appear.

Deme was tired after all day at his extra course the legal justice internship he took on. His body was getting more tired by the day, so tired he couldn't remember the last time he had slept or hung out with friends. Justice really never did sleep. At least he didn't feel like it with how many cases he had to review and profiles he had to write up. It was as if the work never ended. Though today he figured it might take just a little break as he dropped his loads of paperwork at home, and walked out of his house. As soon as he did he saw signs mentioning something about a Star festival. "That sounds interesting," he said out loud thinking it might just be able to take his mind off of all the work he had to do. Even if it was just for a moment a moment sounded good to him.

He was almost at the entrance when he noticed what looked like a magical park. The park had fairy lights dangling from branches, and it looked like the bushes were even covered in glitter. Now he wasn't one to normally go to things like this but his tired mind basically led his feet in that direction. His eyes were shining with excitement as he entered the magical park. Though as soon as he entered he noticed a bench and that bench looked more magical than anything he had ever seen. He quickly rushed over and sat down on the bench. "Well a little shut-eye wouldn't hurt," he thought as he leaned back and closed his eyes. Just as he was about to drift off he felt something tug on the back of his head. "Ouch," he said as he turned around to see no one there but he did hear what sounded like giggling.

"I must be so tired I'm losing my mind," he said as he just shook it off and once again tried to drift off for a quick nap. Though again right as he was about to enter the dream world he felt something start trying to yank his jacket off from behind. "Why you little," he said as he turned around only to notice what looked like a small ethereal and shimmering clothed being. "It can't be," he said rubbing his eyes only to see they had disappeared, "I must be dreaming that wasn't a fairy was it?" He shook his head, rubbed his eyes again, and stood up from the bed.

Just at the thought of him seeing a fairy he laughed and realized he was just too tired to enjoy anything. So with that in mind, he started heading back home. Since if his mind was playing tricks like this on him like this. He should at least be at home in the comfort of his own bed he figured. Safe where even if it did play tricks he would know he was crazy and could just take some melatonin to drift right off to sleep.
