The Lantern Festival (10) : Scientists have been hard at work trying to understand the strange, glowing qualities of the luminescent caterpillars found in the caves by the reservoir. The caterpillars still shrivel up if they are taken out of the caves but their glowing secretions have been processed into an organic paste that can withstand the outside world. The city is selling paper lanterns infused with various seeds. The glow paste is full of minerals to support healthy plant growth without risking damage to the environment; all lantern purchases come with a small packet of activating power that will heat the paste up enough to mimic the effects of a candle without the concerns of flammability. When the glow paste loses its heat, the lantern will return to the Earth and upon the first rain (or any contact with water) the paper will dissolve and the seeds may begin to grow. All proceeds from the lanterns are put right back into the community to support local conservation and environmental protection efforts.

Considering the last time she found out about the lanterns, and how that ended up, Holi wanted to try again with the lanterns. She quickly purchased five and made her way back to her townhouse that she shared with Bellamy. A light appeared in the corner of her eye and she choose to ignore it, thinking it was just a trick since it usually disappeared whenever she looked in its direction. Currently it looked like Bellamy wasn't home, which meant that she could just show him everything a bit later. Once she had the materials all set out, she got to work.

Her first lantern would be for her foster mom. The lantern was decorated with all sorts of pretty flower designs, mainly daisies since those were her favorite. The color of the lantern was a powder blue and the dye she choose was a nice whiteish color. By the time she was done, she made sure to add the big love you mom around the top part of the lamp, making it look like clouds. The second lantern in the color orange would be for Willie. She started off making a haunted house out of black ink with ghosts in all sorts of colors. She wanted to include Luigi, so she picked some green dye and made a nice chibi version of the character along with some jack-o-lanterns. She wrote Willies name in the ground with red to make it seem creepy.

Eliza's lantern was next, and she chose a purple lantern, drawing cute little fairies in blue. She bought some biodegradable glitter along with some environmentally friendly glue, creating the illusion of fairy dust. The inclusion of Tinkerbelle and Peter pan was next, causing her to think back to their time in the gardens. She had the picture of them posing with the peace signs framed on her desk. She would be sending them both a text to hang out pretty soon. Perhaps after her next stream?

The next lantern was for Noah and it was black. She wasnt sure what to put on there, opting to do some film reels and cameras. She added some of the glitter and glue to add to the "special effects" that would be created in the film. The next lantern was for the big cat senshi she managed to upset with all her questions. The color she choose was grey, with the drawing consisting of little cat paws and the tiny little beans underneath them. The sentence I'm sorry was written in between the various little paws, something she hopped to say to him if she ever got the chance to meet him again.

Yuki was the next lantern, choosing yellow to match the color of his eyes. She drew musical notes that had hats atop of them, mixed in with the turn tables of a DJ. His DJ persona DJ Buster was written on some of the notes as if they were riding on them. She figured he would like something like that. She would be taking pictures of each lantern and sending them to her friends.

with her project complete, she took pictures and loaded them to photoshop, working with effects to make them pop. Once she was done, she managed to send pictures of Willie and Eliza's to them. Her step mom received hers and she would be handing Yuki his along with the picture next time she ran into him at the shop.
