Little pops and noises are common, but something about this firework is completely abnormal–it makes absolutely no sound. Instead, light and color splashes across the night sky and leaves a lingering glow behind. No one knows where it came from, but it lit up the sky like a midnight sun, and was gone after about a moment. Anyone who managed to see it in person may find that when they blink, there is a residual glow before them. Strangely, it even seems like there’s a trail of faded, glowing light guiding them somewhere. Maybe you’re led to some special place, or some special person, or–maybe the trail ends before you ever find out where you were supposed to go.
He hadn't hunted them down, hadn't forced them back, why would he drag someone back into the war if they didn't want to be involved? They'd be nothing but an unmotivated solider who wasn't likely to perform well at all, and might cost another officer their life. He wouldn't risk dragging them back.
He was thus surprised when he got a message from one of them, Shannon, he'd nearly forgotten her in fact. It had taken checking his records to remember her, not that he'd tell her that, but once he'd remembered the ashen blond had responded. Asking how she was and letting her know he was surprised to hear from her...that she was back in the city and looking to get involved again. She was, as he found out, still a lieutenant but she wanted to fix that...at least he assuemd as much. She wanted to meet up for training....
Agreeing to that had been easily done but now came waiting to see if she turned up. So far nothing...but he'd arrived at the meeting spot early, to make sure no senshi or knights turned up. She was due any minuet now. The only thing he could see was fireworks in the sky, the window of the building were broken and so it let the air in and kept the musty smell out. The place was decent, which was all that mattered, the fireworks tonight were just as lovely as they normally were. He heard no sound though, perhaps he was too far away? But he was certain he should hear them - right? Blinking he wondered why the sky still looked likewater color fireworks were there, no where near as bright but still the color was there.

It had been quite a while since she had last stepped foot into this city, quite a while indeed, even the city welcomed her back with fireworks. The bright colors and pops bathing her return in fun and light, just the kind of party she enjoyed. Who knew that a simple job covering a few things in another state would have spiraled into quite a few writing gigs that sent her to many cities and countries. Of course she followed the money, but she also didn’t forget her duties as a officer, she had informed her teammates what was going on, or at least told one of them, she just didn’t remember which. She was also using this time to polish her ideas for when she came back. Best to make them perfect before sharing them with Beni, no reason to get the General’s hopes up if her plans were just busts. Much to Shannon’s surprise when she first started, there was a hell of a lot of red tape when it came to most of her ideas. Tape and BS. So there she was, once more in her ‘home’ city, a small little flash-drive slipped into her pocket. A precious little flash-drive that had all her money, and energy, schemes. It would need a bit more tweaking, mostly for any local regulations she had missed and properties that could be used, but it was sure to impress the diminutive General. He was after all her commanding officer. After a glance at her watch the pale haired woman slipped into the shadows of the building she agreed to meet Beni at, it only took her a moment before she exited the darkness in a completely different outfit. Rather than a stylish pantsuit she was now in a pencil skirt that practically screamed retro. Ah well, being Strengite had its benefits, and its down sides. With a slight nose wrinkle at the filth around her the woman rapidly made her way towards the strong aura that she knew was Beni, she wasn’t late. She was nearly there when a large light bloomed in the sky, it was a firework but unlike the others this one carried no sound or smell. It just lit everything up like a midnight sun, revealing the nasty trash strewn alley around her. Ewwww. Ignoring the after effects of the bright light totally ruining her night vision, and the strange lingering little trail of glow that led off into the distance, Strengite carefully made her way towards the building. She had a meeting to keep and a general to butter up. No time for shenanigans. The old building’s door creaked as Strengite pushed it open, uggh what is with meeting in decrepit old buildings?, she thought to herself before striding confidently into the space. “I’m back,” she said in a sing-songy way. “Did you miss me?”

"I see, and of course I did. I've missed everyone and yet none have returned; save for you." Came the responce from the smaller male as he tilted his head a bit. It had indeed been a long while and now, seeing her, he rememebred her. It was likely her job which had taken her away, if he remembered right, she did something with writting.
"Mmm, I'm surprised you'd return and think of me and returning. I am proud however that you did return to the fold after so long being away." He was indeed proud. Others, those he'd through would do something, had vanished and not contacted himself or anyone. He'd given up on having a team and settled for connections...a few he could help and mentor but never a team again. It had cost him a lot and it hurt to lose them each. At least Noctua was still here and Arseno. There was also the blue haired one, whom he'd heard made General. She'd once had a snowglobe for a weapon...how quickly some grew and advanced. He remembered that he himself had advanced quickly, climbing the ranks like one might climb a set of stairs at home. Yet so many of the new officers he didn't know...didn't work with and he was certain some didn't even like him.
Times had changed...
Benitoite wasn't sure if it was for the betterment of the Negaverse or not. It felt like stagnation to him.
"What would you like to do tonight? I don't want to toss you into the deep end of the pool on your first night back."

“Hmmmm, I could have sworn that I told someone that I was coming back, eventually.” Strengite shrugged, not really all that concerned that her periodic messages never got back to Beni. If she had actually sent them at all. Things were pretty nutty there for a while. She had even gotten a gig to be a writer for one of those boat cruises and boy howdy did that teach her a few things. First, it was not worth the money they were offering. Second, the entire crew was more or less hornier than a stray tom in heat. Thirdly, she missed being able to extract her revenge on people by draining and or yanking their starseeds without impunity. Something about being in others territories made her hesitate, afterall no Negaverse officer really liked their toys being taken away from them so who was to say that Strengite wouldn’t accidentally end one of those toys. Best keep her little hands to herself until she was able to make it back to Destiny City… mostly. There was that one time but it was an accident, kind of. Besides he deserved it. “Oh I don’t know. I can think of lots of things to do,” She purred as she sashayed a bit closer. The general was as gay as gay could be but he was still handsome, and still rich, so he was still worth flirting with. Besides, they both knew the score. She was after money and power, he had both, she knew he was gay and in a relationship so the teasing was just a little bit of fun. No real emotion behind it. “I do have a present for you though. A little something I’ve been working on just for you.” There were no pockets in her uniform so she slid the USB stick free from the only place she could have held it hands free, from her cleavage. The little black flash drive was her ticket to money, she just didn’t have the power to get it off the ground. “You will just need to make it worth my while to share it. What do you say my General? Shall we dance?” She purred, her nails tapping the plastic of the electronic device.

"You may have indeed told someone. That someone however likely vanished, as half the team did. I'm rather...displeased with them. At least you told someone, you intended for me to know, they said nothing and simply vanished. I doubt it was due to work for most of them...home life instead." Where as she had vanished for work, he was certain of that. He however had lost his relationship because he took his life as a General more seriously and tried as best he could. It just showed where priorities were for some of them.
"Mmmm, I'm sure you can but you know I'm not interested in such things. As interesting as I'm sure you could make them, not to mention worth my while." He was sure she could...if he weren't the sort of man that he was. But he was sadly, at least for her, not intereste din her offers. He was sure it would be well worth it for any man other than himself though.
"We could go for some energy draining...perhaps find some people worthy of losing their starseeds. I'm sure they won't mind." After all how could you mind when you were dead?
"A present?" She was, it seemed, full or surprises tonight. "Mmm, I'm listening. What do you want? I know what you want, and you know what I can provide, tell me what you want and we'll go over that flash drive together...you can explain things to me in detail. I want to see what one of my lost team members has done for me while away." He was curious, and while she purred out her words...he did just the same, it wasn't just a talent she had. His voice dropped and slowed and came out with that bedroom sort of quality to it...only neither of them were in a bedroom. "Mmm, dance. Yes, perhaps we shall." Walking over to her, slow and casual, with a sort of grace about it. His heels clicked and he reached out a hand towards her as he drew up into her personal space. "Shall we? Then perhaps we can gather some souls."Oh how he liked having this Leiutenant back...now if he could make her a General he'd be pleased - oh so very pleased.

Strengite didn’t give a damn about the others who just upped and left, why leave something that gave such a nice bonus? It just wasn’t worth it. So rather than think about her teammates who just vanished she instead turned to more pressing matters, herself! Namely the best way to get what she wanted from Beni. “Oh, if only you played for my team my dear, if only.” She purred even as she shivered slightly, his bedroom voice was just illegal when it came from a gay guy who just didn’t like women. It wasn’t fair. The taller woman easily held the flash drive up and out of easy reach of her general. “Oh I would love lots of things. Money, fame, a few boy toys to enjoy when I want… really I can think of quite a few things.” She teased him, her silver eyes staying locked on him as he drew closer. “Oooooo we could troll some bars, get some drunk energy or a pervs starseed. That's always fun. But first, this little present,” She wiggled it too and fro while keeping it high, a smarmy grin on her face. “This little fella will not be cheap. Just what are you willing to pay for it?” Strengite had spent a few long years compiling these plans. Details galore. It wasn’t going to come cheap, not for anyone. However - She forgot one very important thing. She was currently provoking a General. A general who had no qualms showing who had all the power in their twisted ‘relationship’.

"Mmm, I'm sure you wish I could hold an intrest in you." He worded it carefully, because he simply wasn't capable of holding an intrest in her or any female for that matter. She at least knew it, and accepted it, he'd run into females who either didn't realize or who knew and didn't care. They were, thankfully, few and far between however. He didn't enjoy having to inform someone of his prefrences, and that they weren't it, it was never a pleasent thing to do....at least not when he was doing the informing on his own.
"I'm not sure I'm your type even if I could find myself wanting for your sort." Though he had a feeling he was...at least in a material sense, he knew he fit those needs of hers. But he also wasn't handsome in the way most females meant when they described a man. he was far from it infact, and he was well aware of this. He didn't care.
"Name the price and then we can go out and get some energy and starseeds." Even though he didn't like clubs...it wouldn't be a bad place to find pervs and other less savory sorts. Those were always the best ones to grab starseeds from.
"Tell me...what can I do for you?" His words a purr still and dropping his eye lids as he stared up at her with stormy colored eyes.

Money and power, those were her turn-ons. Looks were great but if that’s all there was then what was the point. All three would be ideal but that rarely happened. “Oh those are dangerous words my dear,” she grinned and leaned forward, with her eyes locked on Beni she slipped the little black thumb drive back into her cleavage. “Money and power my love. That is all I ever wanted.” Strengite playfully nudged the general’s shoulder while humming She Works Hard For The Money.

"Power you can have - but that needs to be worked for. Can you do that? I cannot hand it out, I am unable to, but I can train you so you can earn that. I can help." He stated while watching her, stormy eyes never leaving her figure. He knew what she'd answer him, she was easy to read in that way. But at least she was more interesting than most who wanted those same things.
"Money however....that I can help with..." That he would help with, especially if it helped him and helped the Negaverse. "We'll talk more about that, and the details, but perhaps we should work on that power thing. It's still early enough and I haven't done any training in awhile." And he was certain she hadn't done any in even longer, she could certainly use it.

Her pout at the ‘I can’t hand it out,’ just as rapidly switched to the smile when Beni said he had no issues with helping on the money front. Training and quotas and all that officer jazz is what was needed to gain more power so she logically understood that. Still sucked that she couldn’t just skip some steps. Training… bah. She was hoping to avoid that. Even if he was right. “True, true. Can’t say as I’ve done much myself. Then again…” She moved as fast as she could. Strengite had not been training in a long while but she still danced, so in a few quick steps she did her best to knock the general’s feet from under him. A sweep of the legs and a push on his shoulders should send him to his back. Once there she could pin him and then she would ‘win’ this little training session. “Surprise has always worked best for me.”

Small and petite as he was, and he really was small and slight of frame, the general held the best he could at the surprise attack. He did take a step or two back, he did need to, but he held firm after that. Rather than push back at her, as he might normally do, he decided to take a swing at her. He didn't put enough force in it to do more than bruise, if it hit, but it would throw her off her game and perhaps remind her - he was stronger.
Maybe, just maybe, this could turn into an impromptu training session as well...he wouldn't mind that. "You might want to work on that in the future, knocking me over. I'm small but not so easily taken down."

Strengite let out a soft hiss of pain when the punch landed. It wasn’t a heavy punch but it would leave a rather wicked bruise. She probably could have dodged it if she wanted too but she made a split second decision to take the strike and make use of it. Her fingers wrapped around his wrist and with a grin that was more of a smirk, Strengite pulled on his arm, trying to bring him closer even as she reached out. Rather than pushing him away, like she had playfully done before, and when she was ‘attacking’, this time she was deliberately trying to place her palm on his chest. It would have looked romantic, sensual even, if her target wasn’t the physical location over his star seed. She wasn’t going to do squat but it was more of a, ‘ha! Pinned ya!’ moment. She might not have gotten him onto the ground but immobilizing someone didn’t mean that she couldn’t drain them or pull a soul out, it just made it easier. And more fun. Watching the fear and pain in their eyes was always fun. She missed that.

He didn't fear where he hand was, why would he? he knew what she could do but he also knew she wouldn't do it. Pulling in close, nearly against her, his feet bumped hers and he stared up at her. "You know, if I were some civilian I might think you were flirting with me." But he knew what her hand there meant...and it wasn't her flirting with him. She was going for the win in a nice clean, and easy, way and he approved of it as he nodded his head.
"I'll give you this. Now, show me how well you do against actual civilians. You don't seem to have lost your...touch." He spoke while drawing away slowly, smiling at her.
"Let's go." Nodding towards the exit. "Let's get you back in the game." And get some energy collected, maybe even some starseeds. Already he was heading for the exit, beckoning her to follow him, a smile playing about his lips and a gleam in his eyes.

They disengaged and she happily nodded her head at his idea to go ‘hunting’. “Certainly my liege. Lead the way!” She playfully teased him as she followed after him. “So club or bar? I’ve got to tweak my outfit depending on where.” Her question, and the answer, faded away as the dilapidated factory door closed behind them. Oh what had been released once more into the city? What fresh ‘fun’ was she going to inflict on others? Why, the best of fun of course! Beni was going to be so proud. twisted
