Akea 1
She was busy working in the garden, her arms were elbow deep in the soil and she couldn't be happier.
It was a gorgeous day, her parents were also puttering about the yard but mostly leaving her to her thoughts and the weeds.
Vicious deep rooted things but it was so freeing when she was able to dig them up by the roots! Take that invaders, go spread your spawn in some other garden!

Aki 1 Akiliano made his way over to Akea in the garden humming a sweet tune to himself, he paused as a figure came into his sights. He tilted his head curiously, at first at a distance he was at he couldn't recognize who it was, he fiddled around with his necklace a little bit before slowly making his way over to where the figure was elbow deep in the soil. To his advantage the weather was pleasant and he didn't have to put too many layers on he continued to hum the sweet tune to himself, as he came closer he had to do a double-take to make sure it was his best friend Akea. "You seem to be enjoying yourself" he spoke up.

She looked up, delighted to see her best friend. "Hey! Long time no see! I would hug you but well I'm covered in dirt at the moment." It hadn't been that long since they had seen each other but it had been enough to register some differences in his face and voice. He was still so handsome and he just seemed to get better with time. "We all missed you!" Her parents were resigned to him being around...a lot. But they did enjoy his company.

Akiliano chuckled lightly before nodding his head "it's definitely been a while" he said with a smile before nodding a polite hello to her parents. He watched her work for a bit and noticed some subtle changes to her facial features and her overall appearance, she definitely looked more feminine in a subtle way. "what are you planting?" he asked her curious to know.

"Onions and garlic and saltwort. We eat a lot of it and it is deliscious." She stood and took a long look at him. She saw his handsome face in an entirely different way now. She blinked, her heart quickened and butterflies fluttered in her belly. Feeling mischievous she stood on her tip toes and kissed him smartly on the cheek. "Don't stray so far next time, I might miss you." She whispered in his ear and danced away to collect more seeds.

Akiliano blinked in surprise as she kissed him on the cheek and then danced away to tease him. "Nonsense," he said "I never stray too far from you," he told her before following her in the direction she was going, before feeling a little mischievous himself, he went after her and once he caught up with her he scooped her up in his arms from behind. "Now..you are just a tease," he said to her.

"Gack!" She giggled. "Me? A tease?" She tweaked his nose gently. She put a few seeds in one of his pockets and patted it gently. "So you can grow something too if you want." She felt delicate and lady like in his arms and decided happily that she enjoyed being there.
"Can you relocate me to the planting shed? I need to plant peas as well."

Akiliano blinked as she put some seeds in one of his pockets and patted it gently "why, thank you. I shall plant them when I have time" he told and nodded his head "yes, you are a tease" he said lightly resting his forehead on hers. He chuckled lightly as she asked him to relocate her "It will be my pleasure, My lady" he said before walking over to the planting shed so she can plant some peas.

She had decided she liked him holding her very much and would remember that for later. She was sure her parents were watching, probably remembering their own romance. Maybe the threat of her potentially leaving for her own life one day would spur them into having another child. She could only hope, she had always wanted a sibling. She grabbed the peas out of the shed and held his hand to go back and plant the row. "So what did you actually come over for?"

Akiliano smiled lightly as she took his hand, before thinking about his response for a second and tilting his head to the side a bit "I need a reason to see my best friend?" he asked her lightly. He actually did want to see his best friend but also wanted to ask her something, which he hoped she would say yes to.

Akea smiled. “Not really no.” She placed her hands on her hips and looked contentedly at what she had planted. The gsrden was coming together nicely and it was fun too. Her dads had even helped her to prepare the soil.
She always checked for new seeds at the markets. Collecting, cataloguing and planting. It was so very fun.
It felt even better with Aki here. Her Fathers always had each other but they had neglected to give her a sibling yet. So sometimes she felt quite lonely.

Akiliano also stood and looked at her gardening "Looks pretty good so far to me" he told her with a soft smile before looking over at her "ah...I meant to ask you another question, but I forgot about it while I was watching you garden" he told her. He was a bit nervous about asking her but he was confident she wouldn't say no..or at least he hoped she wouldn't.

“Oh? Well ask away, Im listening now.” She blushed. She could get a little too deep into gardening after all. She got that from Kaiko. She was the boss of her garden and it was a very heady good feeling.
The wind swirled around them, making her dreadlocks sway slightly. She grinned and ruffled his bright hair. That was how she found her frone in a crowd was his hair.

Akiliano took a breath before speaking up "I was just wondering if you wanted to like go on a date of sorts with me" he said to her. He was confident but also nervous and wasn't sure if she would say yes, or even if she felt the same way about him as he felt about her. He wanted them to be more than just best friends, he wanted to be around her and be her boyfriend.

Akea flushed, "Well I had been wondering if perhaps you would ask that, it was becoming so long that I thought I might have to ask myself but I would be very glad to go on a date with you Aki." She was sure her parents had seen this coming a mile away but perhaps it would lead them to rekindling their romance to give her siblings. She did so ever want siblings, though she wasn't as alone now as she had been without Aki. She grinned brightly up at him. Delight evident in her features.
