“Lu show me how you paddle,” he said watching his son lay on the board and paddle like crazy. He started laughing, “now stand up, stand up, stand up.”
Lu hopped up, knees bent and arms out though he looked more like a goal post then balanced. Cass chuckled correcting his son's arms, “down for balance buddy … good job … high five.”
“Alright Uncle Dami will be here soon and we can get in the water.”

Damien was running a bit late as usual, but he managed to nap a good parking spot for the beach, stepping out and walking to the backseat. Lyle was snoozing and he smiled before unbuckling him from his car seat. He was about one and a half, but he figured some little bit of time on a board [heavily monitored because Rose will skin him alive], would help him get used to the water even quicker. Xanders swim lessons were working nicely. “Apa….Swim swim?” Of course he would wake as soon as he was picked up. “Yes little buddy, swim swim with uncle Cass and cousin Lu.”
He picked up his board in his other arm and walked towards his brother and nephew. Lyle waved to Lu excitedly. “Luuuuuuuuuu I here!!!! Swim swim times!” He was so excited he wanted out of his Apa’s arms so he could go splash with Lu.

Cass looked up when he heard Lyle calling out to Lu and laughed, shaking his head and looking at his brother. “Hey Dami, you ready to hit the water. Lyle all sunblocked up … not that he has quite as fair skin as you do.”
He grabbed Lu who was starting to head toward Damien and Lyle making sure to add a little more sunblock to his son’s scalp, as blonde hair didn't exactly help protect his scalp from the sun. Lu fussed, but it was done quickly. “Ready to get in the water Bud?”

“Yeah. You think I would let him go without sunblock? Rose would beat my a**, pregnant or not.” out of everything, the one thing Damien actually feared was his wife. She was as sweet as can be [within reason] but he knew her temper and while he could handle anything, a pregnant Rose with a temper equals hell on Earth. He let Lyle down, laughing as the toddler quickly ran through the sand to get to his cousin. “Lu! Ready for swim swims?” He was so excited! Swimming with his Apa, Uncle, and cousin! Yes!

Cass started laughing and shook his head, “yeah I'm pretty sure she’d skin you if you brought her baby home with a sunburn.” He watched as Lu happily hugged his cousin and dragged him over to Cass surfboard. He looked back to Damien. “I was just practicing with him before we get into the water. Even though we wont be going far, or catching any serious waves you know I’d rather make sure he remembers everything while were still on the sand.”
He turned to watch Lu squatting on the board and trying to show his cousin something, “ready to do a few more exercises, lay down the law and hop into the water?”

That was the BEST option he could hope for.
Damien watched as Liam quickly hugged his cousin back, almost tripping as he was dragged over to his Uncle's surfboard. He made a face while watching Lu squatting on the board trying to show him the proper position needed for surfing. He stepped on the board behind his cousin, holding out his arms while he tried to "balance" himself. He was going to be the best surfer, and then he could show his baby brother and momma just how good he was.
Damien chuckled and nodded, "Let's get this show on the road then~" He just hopped the boys wouldn't be too rowdy.
