Talia had a headache and was home from the food truck today. She had been napping in the room she shared with Zac, but she wanted to not be in bed. SO, of course the best thing to do was make her way to the couch, which she did and had happily fallen asleep for what felt like a while.
When she heard the sound of footsteps nearby, she shifted and opened her eyes, blinking in confusion as she saw a bare back streaking through the living room on the way to the kitchen, and she let out a shriek of alarm and confusion.
Why was someone just. Half naked? Who…who…
Oh. It was just Ahri. She could tell now by the hair but. “Why aren’t you wearing a shirt? What the actual hell, Ahri? Why…”
Her eyes fell on the scars that covered his chest and she choked. “...What the...what happened? When did those happen?”
Talia couldn’t remember Ahri being hurt, but the scars didn’t look old. Nobody had told her that he was hurt at any rate, and she felt a sudden spike of anger for everyone else in the house.
Sure, she still wasn’t up to par with what she had been, but if a member of her newfound family was hurt...she should have been told.

Talia wasn't the only one to scream.
Ahri turned in a panic, looking rather pale when his gaze fell on Talia. "Jesus... ******** Christ Talia." He mumbled, scrubbing at his face.
God damn it...
"I didn't think anyone was home." The young man muttered, rubbing at his arm. "Otherwise I would have had something on." His hands moved to cover the two new, offending scars as he grimaced. "I uh... Got stabbed. Negaverse Captain didn't like my answer when they poked about corruption. So... ya know." Ahri waved a hand vaguely. "It looked worse.. I got lucky... A friend found me and helped me out."
Ahri suddenly fidgeted, shifting his weight from one for to another. "...Can... Can you not say anything? I haven't told Evan or Tobi. I haven't told anyone. I don't want anyone trying to get revenge and getting hurt because of me. You and my friend are the only ones that know. Please, Talia."

For a long moment, Talia simply stood there, watching him, a myriad of emotions crossing her face. Relief that she wasn’t the only one left out, and a strange smugness that now she would be the only one to know, followed by a worry that he had been hurt in the first place.
“...Yeah, yeah no, I can…I can keep your secret but…jesus, Ahri, you can’t…when did this happen? How long have you been keeping quiet about it? You know I would have helped out with some healing if you would have just asked. It’s about the only thing I can do right now is heal people.”
There was a depe bitterness in Talia’s voice at that but she shrugged it off. Forcibly. “Why didn’t you tell me at least? I mean. I wouldn’t try to get revenge but I would have liked to have been able to help you…I…”
Stabbed.
Good god. Those infected with Chaos just…wouldn't ever stop, would they?
“I’m…really glad that they didn’t kill you.”

Ahri stood there under her gaze, trying not to fidget even more.
"Uh.. A week or two ago." He said nervously. "So... About 2 weeks." Ahri made a face, glancing down at one of the scars. "It's fine... I think? Like, my friend had something that healed them up pretty fast. They don't hurt to touch." They were just... scars at this point. A reminder. They would fade with time. "Honestly... I don't know if I could have called anyone.. I fell off a roof Talia..."
Ahri scratched at the skin around one scar. "I haven't told anyone. Not even Nile and Lyon.. And I was partnered with both of them when we were in the Negaverse. I didn't tell anyone cause I just... don't know what to say. 'Hey guys, I got too distracted watching a meteor shower and oh by the way I got stabbed?'. Talia, Evan would never let me out of the house again. I don't even want to think about what Tobi woulda done. How... how do you tell someone that?"
Ahri let his gaze fall to the ground as he rubbed at his arm again. "I think they thought I was. The Captain probably banked on me hitting things on the way down-" Which, he had. "They just never bothered to check afterwards. Assumed I would just bleed out."

Talia hummed softly, watching him and finally rubbed the bridge of her nose. “...Well. Go…go put on clothes or whatever you were doing. I’m…going to take some painkillers because my head is still killing me…and then you and I are going out. We can go up to my homeworld and punch each other a little and just…take in the view or whatever but. I want to do some training with you.”
She drew in a deep breath and let it out slowly, shaking her head slightly and moving towards the bathroom where the medicine lived. “Be ready and meet me back here in ten minutes, okay? I’ll see what we have and we can bring some snacks and drinks and just. Talk about this some more when we’re really alone since. You’re so freaked out about the people you live with knowing.”
Moving past him, Talia hesitated and gave the male a hug, squeezing him tightly. “...I would have been the same way though, if I’m going to be honest. The people here worry too damn much and if they smell any weakness…they just pounce.”

Ahri nodded dumbly. "I can do that... Yeah. Though, can we keep it to just fists? I'm kinda over being poked with pointy things for a while." First an arrow, then knives... What was next?!
"I just... don't want anyone else to get hurt because I ******** up Talia. I'll tell them eventually, but I need to make sure they won't go and do anything about it first." Evan and Tobi were both stronger then he was... They could probably handle it just fine if they tried, but still...
He laughed lightly, hugging her back. "I guess, I would too.. If I were in your shoes." Necro smiled. "We mean well, I swear. We're just... probably a bit more overprotective then we should be.. But given where we all came from and where we've been.. I guess our reactions are kind of warranted." Letting go he stepped back. "Alright, I'll meet up with you in a couple minutes."
