Before Doesina was aware, the canopy above her head had broken more and more, releasing more of the sunshine to pepper the ground around her. Never once had she became more concerned about going further and further away from the last place she had left her cousin. Just a little bit at first. That she quickly ignored, replaced by the other pressing matter of her having gotten lost. Never one to have been good with directions, the Elaria had continued walking, waiting for something familiar to show up or maybe her cousin to bump into her. It wasn't as if she couldn't spend a long time out here. She'd been trained for survival through countless lessons with her mother and grandmother ever since she could remember. It would just be a bit lonely. She'd never spent so much time by herself before, not since leaving Yael. Always someone around back home to talk to.

But luck was on her side! For something familiar was coming into view in the distance. Giving an excited gasp, Doesina picked up her feet, hurrying towards it. Not only was it something familiar, it was a city! Full of all kinds of people who could satisfy her boredom and need for socialization.

The eyes of everyone watching her went ignored as she looked around her, a giant smile on her face. It didn't matter to her that she was so much taller than most of the people here. In fact, it was quite helpful. She could see over all their heads at either sides of the street, searching for something to catch her attention. People made way for her easily when she shifted her direction to an interesting looking shop. How nice. She wasn't sure what had attracted her attention about this one, but this one she had picked to randomly explore. So long as the shopkeeper didn't mind. She didn't want to impose her presence where it might not be wanted. She understood any misgivings anyone might have for what she was. It didn't bother her.

So, with a friendly smile plastered on her face, Doesina walked into the shop, keeping her senses as open as they could be in case this wouldn't go over well.

Lutana was busy arranging the shelves with freshly made bags of tea. The hybrid was thankfully taller than most earthlings thanks to her Aishan heritage and it was fairly easy to reach the highest of shelves, her fingers brushing lightly against some boxes that had been disregarded for the past few weeks by the other workers. Once she was finished with those the young woman started working on lighting the candles throughout the shop. While the open wooden shutters allowed some sunlight in the shop it was mostly lit by the colorful glass orbs that held the flickering candles. There were at least twenty throughout the alcoves in the natural wood of the giant tree the shop had been built into, the natural buildings of the shifters often located within the higher branches of the giant trees nestled in the areas with some shops along the ground level now that things were more peaceful with the Aishans. The teashop was one of many that had been built around the markets of Neued, the bustling city attracting all sorts of earthlings and Aishans alike. Towards the back of the room built into the base of the tree was a spiraling staircase that could take anyone up towards the more private rooms where Lutana and her mentor held tea ceremonies. Sometimes the ceremonies were simply to allow the customers a chance to relax and enjoy freshly brewed tea, some merchants bringing clients here to discuss business while others simply wanted a break from the outside world, and other times there were more healing aspects involved as Lutana and her mentor also were healers who listened to their clients' needs and acted accordingly.

While she normally trained with her mentor on the actual tea ceremony the lack of help today had placed Lutana in the shop where they sold brews to those who did not have the time to linger. Admittedly Lutana enjoyed the ambiance of the shop as well since it also had that dim mystical feeling to it with the ebony wooden shelves along the inside holding rows upon rows of boxes with elegant tea sets for sale placed out along the counter that she now dusted. They even had boxes of sweets to sell that went along with some of the tea, the colorful wrapping always tempting Lutana every time she went into the store. It was most definitely safer for her to handle the tea ceremony aspect in the back of the shop away from the temptations of the sweets and trinkets her mentor sold here. "That should be fine." Lutana pulled back after setting down a final box and brushed her hands against her skirts, the motion rustling the colorful layers of fabric that hugged her hips before flaring out. Lutana frowned as she noticed that one of her layered belts were out of place and she tightened the strap quickly, making certain that the bags of additional herbs she always carried with herself were tucked safely into place before the sound of the door caught her attention.

Thankfully her mentor had a small bell at the door that had alerted Lutana else she could have never noticed the stranger's entrance. "Welcome!" She smiled as she turned around and gave a polite bow of greeting to the stranger. Others perhaps would have been taken aback by the sight of an Elaria but surprisingly this was not Lutana's first encounter with someone of Elarian heritage and her own Aishan heritage kept her confident as she greeted the Elaria. "How may I help you today?" Her dark curls bounced along her shoulders as she straightened up and studied the foreigner with interest. She seemed friendly enough with that smile and so far Lutana did not notice any illness or injuries so perhaps she was simply shopping around?

"Wow!" That was the first unintentional sound, uttered softly, that came out of the Elaria's lips as the door closed quietly behind her. It looked pretty interesting from the outside as it was. Building into, around, and among the branches of the tall trees would never cease to amaze her, so much different than the landscape she was used to back home, though no less beautiful. There was always something humbling about being below such large forests, like she was a tiny insect being watched over by a hundred tall figures. No matter how tall you yourself was, there was always something taller. As far as Aishans went, she was on the small side, however.

But inside was even better. She felt like she'd walked into someone's dream. Doesina did a few turns, making sure not to hit her head on anything or for her slightly flailing arms to bang into anything. She wasn't used to a shop's cluttered interior, preferring the outside stalls if she needed anything or waiting for her mother or grandmother to go get something. She couldn't say it felt claustrophobic, just...Unnatural? The outside was where she belonged, wild and free.

So distracted, she hadn't realized someone had spoken to her. She'd completely forgotten these places were usually managed by someone. She blinked at the other woman a few times. She seemed taller than most Earthlings she had seen, but maybe that was just the lighting.

"I like your shop," Doesina said. "I wasn't looking for anything. I just kinda wandered in. What do you do here?"

A small smile of amusement lingered on Lutana's lips as she watched the Elaria studying the shop. "The owner lives to impress so I'm glad that you like it." She replied softly. "Though hopefully you can find some teas that will also impress you." The hybrid teased as she floated about the main room, her hands tracing the outline of a few boxes before pausing as if pondering her options. After a moment Lutana found herself glancing back towards the Elaria, her dark gaze thoughtful.

"We specialize in teas. Do you have a preference? This part of the shop sells packaged teabags and treats while we actually serve tea upstairs. I can always recommend a brew after talking and getting to know you better if you aren't certain what flavor of tea is to your liking." Lutana tapped a finger against her chin thoughtfully and glanced at the Elaria, her gaze skimming up and down over the other woman. "We also serve tea for healing purposes if you have any illness or injuries."

"It's rare to see an Elaria here though. You're fairly far from home." Lutana mentioned with a small smile. "Please feel free to look around or ask for any help. The owner prides herself in gathering teas from all over the world so you may even find a few herbal teas from Yael tucked into our shelves. I can also guide you to a tearoom upstairs if that is your preference." She could always ring the bell or close the downstairs if no one else was nearby to take over the shop. If anything it would be a good break from stocking shelves, something which Lutana was loathe to do.

Consider her impressed. But than that wasn't much of an achievement. The Elaria enjoyed a lot of things in the world and seeing the ways others lived. Her own house was fairly sparse, the only decorations being weapons or pelts being sewn into something, so anything this furnished, be it even a shop, was of high interest to her.

Doesina listened intently, her head spinning with all the possibilities presented to her. Tea had never been something she paid a lot of attention to. They always had some at home, simply for the sake of having something different every once in a while. She enjoyed the taste of them, but couldn't begin to tell one from the other. Maybe if she actually looked or asked her mother what the flavor was even once. Perhaps this was a good opportunity to finally find some she could name as a favorite. Bring some back with her to Yeal as a gift to her family.

And having someone to talk to for a little while would be a bonus.

"I'm not sure. I wouldn't mind sampling some to figure it out, if you don't mind." Traveling lightly and living mostly off the land had its benefits: She should have plenty money to indulge herself a little. She shifted her feet a little at the scanning of her body, holding her arms out a bit as if her grandmother was inspecting her for injuries. "I am in good health. Though I suppose a few of those wouldn't hurt to take back with me. I hope to return home soon enough. Thank you!" she added on quickly, just to be extra polite.

A soft chuckle left Lutana at the Elaria's reaction to her question. "Good health indeed." She replied with a slight tease before tapping a finger against her lips thoughtfully. "It's one thing to look over boxes of teas, but another thing to actually taste them." She admitted before glancing over towards the front door again. It wasn't the hardest decision, especially for the young hybrid who was more accustomed to preparing tea rather than simply selling it, and after a moment she found herself crossing the room with her layered skirts swishing around her ankles.

"We'll head upstairs and I can brew some hot water. Do you have anything in particular that you enjoy? Sweets or bitter? Or even spicy things?" She asked quietly as she placed a little sign on the door. Making certain it was in place, Lutana closed the door and turned back to the Elaria with a small grin. If one of the other workers returned in time they would simply open the shop back up while Lutana was with another customer as was habit.

Lutana's fingers lightly danced across a few boxes as she circled the room, her expression thoughtful as she waited for the Elaria's response. "My name is Lutana and I will be assisting you today, miss." She stated after a moment, her hands already moving to prepare one bag of fresh herbs for tea. There were several herbs from Yael and some dried fruits from there as well in that mixture which she hoped would remind the other woman of home. "Once I prepare a few samples we can head upstairs and I'll serve you all of them to get a sense of what you'd like to bring back home with you. You're fortunate that I was looking to practice my tea brewing skills today."

The Elaria gave a little chuckle in return, clasping her hands behind her back so she didn't fidget. Like a curious toddler, the temptation was always there to poke and prod at everything around her. Her eyes kept darting around even as she spoke, looking at everything and trying to take it all in at once.

"I don't really know that either. I'm sorry." She was not being very helpful. Doesina gave the other woman an apologetic smile, feeling bad indeed over it. She never liked to give anyone a tough time over anything, even something as small as her taste preferences in tea. Being an Elaria, she put extra effort in to be co-operative, knowing the problems her Sister's attitudes had probably caused everyone else around them. She wanted to be a shining example that everyone could co-exist together in peace and still keep to their own sections of the world.

"If it helps, I'm not very picky," she added. The whole reason she had never paid much attention to the teas served by her mother. They had all tasted good to her, whatever they had been. "I don't mind spicy or sweet or bitter. I'm alright with trying whatever you suggest." Doesina bowed her head in a greeting, still firmly keeping her hands behind her back. "Hello, Lutana. I am Doesina. Take as long as you need. I have nowhere to be."

"No need to apologize." Lutana offered the other woman a warm smile as she continued gathering up various supplies, eager to venture upstairs so that she could do what she truly enjoyed. As fun as it was to interact with potential customers, the young woman much preferred the actual art of tea brewing and sharing those delights with clients to simply exchanging coins for goods. "I'll just have to hold you responsible if you visit again and forget everything that time. So prepare to apologize in that situation, not now when you're simply learning and experiencing something new." She found herself teasing as she shifted boxes on a dark wooden tray, the edges engraved like much of the store decor with various hues of silver and gold that shimmered against the darkness.

"Understood." Lutana pursed her lips thoughtfully before nodding at the introduction. "A pleasure, Doesina. I'm happy to have a new customer today so thank you for visiting my master's store." She was after all simply still an apprentice in the art of tea making and even though Lutana did seem to have a good knack for it there was still a lot to learn. "I've grab a few different things and fortunately we also have some herbs from Yael. Hopefully I can bring you a taste of home if nothing else truly appeals to you." She offered with a soft chuckle before turning as she finally gathered all that she needed. "Careful on the steps." Lutana glanced upwards before moving so that one hand gestured forward towards the curving stairs, little balls of light forming around them to guide the way. The lights gave a soft subtle glow and almost appeared to be dancing back and forth as Lutana started up the stairs, her skirts rustling as she carefully ascended into an upper hallway carved into the great tree, three round rooms all connected together with tables inside for serving guests. Thankfully her favorite room was open and so it was there that Lutana would lead Doesina.

Like the storefront the room was made of darker wood with gleaming silver and golden engravings throughout the walls like swirling tendrils of wind with shooting stars scattered in between. The slender windows carved into the walls had curtains brought in from Oba, the indigo material so thin that it was translucent enough to allow sunlight to flicker into the room. While various plants set in boxes along the walls to add to the decorations of the room there was a larger round table low to the ground with cushions for seats in the center. It was there that Lutana sat down the materials she had brought along, the dark tray standing out against the cream tablecloth draped across the table with similar designs embroidered into it that matched the room. "Please have a seat." She motioned towards the table while preparing the hot water for the tea, the hybrid quickly at work towards the side of the room where various tea making accessories were gathered on a lower shelf. "Since you're in good health I suppose I do not need to ask questions concerning what ails you." She spoke as she worked with a small smile crossing her lips as she started to mix the herbs and dried fruits together into a special blend specifically based upon Yael. "Instead I suppose if there's anything you would like to discuss feel free to mention it."

"You're welcome!" the Elaria returned pleasantly, bouncing a bit on the heels of her feet in excitement. It wasn't just the thrill of being in a new place, about to maybe try some new things. But just talking so nicely with another person, especially an Earthling. So many of them looked at her funny, as if they expected her to break out into song or something. Or maybe start torching their houses. She was no stranger to the reputation her Sisters had gained over the many years since their Tree had been planted. It only made her all the more determined to be as friendly and co-operative as possible. Perhaps, in time, the world would come to suspect Elaria less and accept them a bit better. They weren't all like that, after all. "A taste of home sounds nice. It's been a while since I left."

Her eyes were big as she followed Lutana up the stairs, holding up the edge of her own long skirt so she didn't trip. A long slit sliced up one side, revealing a long grey leg every second step. She'd always liked the movement of cloth against her legs. Not practical for fighting, but Doesina had no problems ripping them off for easier movement if she needed to in a pinch. Until such times, she would enjoy the cool swish against her skin. She continued to look all around her until she heard the other woman speaking to her.

Doing as she was told, the Elaria sat carefully on a cushion, arranging her long legs underneath her and placing her hands nicely in her lap. "Mm," she hummed, thinking on the question. Was there anything she wanted to discuss? She wasn't sick. She wasn't wounded. She had a bruise on her leg, hidden always under the fabric of her skirt that wasn't really bothering her. Bruises and small scraps happened when you spent most of your time out in the forest. Which she always did back home on Yael, as well. There was nothing Doesina loved more than being outside, in the fresh air. So what should she talk about?

"Is it fun working inside a tree? It feels very...Magical being in here."

Good then I’ll make sure to brew you a fabulous tea that matches. My fathers went to Yael for a while and I picked up a few herbs from my visit there.” She had younger siblings who came from Yael and so it was only natural that Lutana took to learning about the teas from the other island so that she could impress her family with a treat one day. If Doesina liked them then surely that would give her more encouragement to share the teas with her family in the near future. Lutana prepared the herbs and then carefully returned with them in a glass teapot. “Most Shifters in Jahaur live in trees, but I do especially enjoy this one. It must be strange to see though compared to the houses they have in Yael.” Lutana replied with a small smile. “The tree though does add to the ambience and this is one of my favorite rooms since we also hold readings here. They believe if you read the leaves at the bottom of the cup then you may be able to glean the future.” She gave a slight shrug as she shifted so that the leaves tumbled inside of the glass pot, the hybrid carefully reaching over to pour hot water into the open jar so that it swished the leaves around more.

There’s a ball of dark leaves in the center which blooms like a flower.” Lutana gestured towards it and watched as the water slowly darkened within the glass teapot, the mixture of herbs and leaves unfurling like a blooming flower. “A bit of warm spice to remind you of Yael along with some roots of common flowers found in the forests there for that subtle flavor that lingers.” Lutana explained as she also took out a pot of honey and set that in the center of the table before finally settling down on a cushion across from Doesina. “In a few minutes I can pour a cup for both of us, but until then feel free to make yourself as comfortable as possible.” The hybrid tilted her head back as she studied Doesina, her curls tumbling over a shoulder with the movement and chiming slightly with the various beads and flowers weaved into her hair. "I could try a reading if you did have any question in mind. It can be as simple as asking if you'll be lucky today or if the weather will be good for traveling."

"It does!" Doesina agreed, looking around her once more. It gave off a very nice, cozy feeling to be entombed inside a giant tree. Almost like the tree itself had chosen to keep her safe within it, like a warm embrace from a mother. But than maybe that was an expected reaction for one who came from a tree herself. It must have felt just as safe and cozy laying inside her bloom underneath the branches of her Mother Tree. It made her delighted to think that maybe Earthlings also shared this feeling when they were inside their tree homes. Something to connect them together. She looked back at Lutana, rearranging her hands in her lap, enjoying the pleasant conversation. "It is weird, but I can't say I dislike it. Makes the tree feel more alive, in a way. Like it's protecting those within it."

"I hope they liked Yael," she answered, more out of politeness than because she was paying attention to the conversation. Pale eyes watched the process of making the tea intently, her head only moving a fraction. She'd never really paid much attention to her mother making it, so used to the older Elaria doing it that it wasn't of much interest to her. Everything was always more fascinating when a stranger did it. "A reading sounds fun. But I'm not entirely sure what to ask about." There was no real goal to her life right now, after all. She wasn't aiming to achieve anything. Just explore Jauhar alone while she waited for her cousin to finish whatever it was she was doing up north. Not that she minded the long wait. It allowed her to meet more Earthlings and see more of the Shifter's world before she had to leave back for home.

Home. It had been a few years now since Doesina had been there.

"I guess the only thing I can think of is if I can go back home soon."

A small smile crossed Lutana’s lips as she watched Doesina’s reaction to their surroundings. “I enjoy that perspective.” She replied in her whispery tone, the hybrid nodding as she pondered the very idea of the tree acting as some sort of guardian to those dwelling within. “I’ll make certain to treasure this place more going forward as to bring good fortune from this guardian.” Rather than mocking the term came off with endearing intentions as Lutana truly was starting to enjoy the perspective of fate from both the living and those gone from this world. Spirits existed within others so why not within nature such as trees also?

I hope they enjoyed it as well since my youngest siblings were born there.” Teased Lutana with a quiet laugh. “Earthling fathers cannot pray to a tree for children so they had to resort to other means and chose someone in Yael to aid them. Considering they lingered long enough for the twins to be born, I definitely would think that they had a pleasant trip.” She knew that she shared Aishan blood but her papa’s decision to take the path of earthlings had torn him away from the potential of blooms like other hybrids who followed the Aishan path. While Lutana knew that the situation had once brought stress for her fathers she was happy with how things were now as blood or no blood made no difference to the hybrid who valued their actual souls more than any physical forms of connection. Everyone in her family was treasured, regardless of their differences in appearance.

It was natural for Lutana to engage in casual conversation as she prepared the tea, the hybrid showing no signs of nervousness even as she realized that Doesina was intently watching her movements. If anything the interest emboldened her movements and helped Lutana to move with even more confidence than before. Lutana placed some more leaves in the cups as the rest of the leaves in the teapot pulled apart into the darkening brew. Carefully raising the teapot she poured the tea into each cup, the steam filling the room with a warm and spiced scent. “Sometimes you may not have an exact question in mind.” Lutana offered as she slowly placed the cup in front of Doesina. “The leaves will reveal something that may be important to you in the near future or reveal something that may be buried in the present moment.” Something that one wasn’t currently thinking of or was simply oblivious towards even as it happened around them. “But I can definitely keep your home in mind as I read over the leaves, just make certain to leave a little bit of the tea at the bottom of the cup when you are finished.” Lutana smiled encouragingly, her posture relaxed as she held her own cup in her hands and allowed the brew to warm her fingers. “Since the reading will not come until later we can simply enjoy our drinks and each others’ company for now. What is your home like back on Yael? I’ve only seen a port city, never the encampment of the Elaria.

The emphasis on the word wasn't lost on Doesina, who was always being told by her grandmother how much cleverer she was than how she choose to present to others. She didn't think there was anything wrong in her behavior. It wasn't like she was trying to pretend to be less intelligent. She knew she often came off as ditzy to a lot who met her and this left them with the impression that she was dumb and naive. Mayella didn't like this at all and thought all Sisters should conduct themselves with the proper respect. Doesina wasn't behaving appropriately, in her eyes. Why did it matter? If someone thought they could fool her, she'd call them out on it and they'd realize their mistake. Honestly, it was more fun this way. She got to see their faces when she revealed how much she did understand.

So the extra attention on the word guardian brought a happy glow to her face, her eyes lighting up and widening in her delight over it. Yes, why should just a Mother Tree be seen as a guardian? Lots of other trees provided protection for many other species, Earthling and animal alike. "I'm sure the tree would appreciate that."

The Elaria's eyes went wide once more at the next turn in the conversation. Earthling reproduction was something that she had to admit fascinated her as well as made her a little uncomfortable. There had not been many opportunities to learn more about it. She certainly wasn't going to ask any of her Yaeli friends back home or a stranger here about something so personal. At least, it felt like something that should be super personal and secret. The act itself did not bother her in the slightest. It was what resulted from it that sent shivers down her spine.

"Two men can't make a baby together, huh?" How odd that was. Why wouldn't whoever created Earthlings give them all the parts they needed to start a family between them? Seemed cruel, to her, to deny a loving couple the joy of children who were a mix of the two of them. Nothing would spark as much joy from her, she knew, than seeing children who were the combination of her and her lover. Even if they were pure Elaria like her, the features of the second mother would still be present whoever she was. "Sounds like some Goddess's idea of a cruel joke, if two people can't start a family on their own as easily as going to a Tree and asking."

Doesina raised her hands to her own cup, breathing a thanks over the steam as she breathed in the scent of it. "It's amazing that leaves can do that. Are they very accurate?"

"Well, I could say it's beautiful, but everyone says that about their home, don't they?" the Elaria laughed, taking a small sip of the tea, giving a small sound in her throat in appreciation of the taste. It did taste vaguely of something her mother had made before. The taste of home that was mentioned before, she assumed. "It's much different from here. I'm not familiar with the Yaeli towns, since they wouldn't appreciate an Elaria walking among them. There is moss everywhere, large cracks in the earth for water to settle into, and a fine mist in the air. Even the air here feels much different than I am used to. A lot dryer. The fruit not quite as soft as it is near where my family lives."

I’m glad you think so.” Lutana’s lips curled upwards in a happy smile at the sight of the reaction from the Elaria. It was a gamble to see how others, Aishans especially, would take to her interpretation of things but she had a feeling Doesina would be more delighted than anything. She was glad that it definitely seemed to be the case here. The last thing she would want to do was upset such a friendly soul. Though she couldn’t control her reaction at the next question, Lutana letting out a soft laugh at the next question. The emotion she felt at the question was both frustration and amusement considering everything her own fathers had endured for children. “They cannot, at least not with how earthlings reproduce. If one does not follow the Aishan path they cannot go to a tree and so my fathers sought out different women to carry their children. No feelings were harmed in the agreements as complex as they seem though I believe my blood mother may have cursed my fathers since she gave birth to three of us as triplets.” It was a strange thing to think about how Aishans could be presented with bloomed children which differed from how earthling women struggled for so long to carry and then give birth in pain. Lutana could only wonder that if Aisha or any of those other trees truly had such spirits would they also feel such pain if not more for each blossom? “Maybe it’s not so easy for the Goddess to form the blooms and unfortunately earthlings are simply created differently from Aishans. I know that Aisha can show hybrid traits and blend together the races, but I don’t think she could ever simply make pure earthling children since all Aishans have some sort of connection to her with their traits. Even those that go to be granted children have some trace of Aishan blood considering their heritage otherwise I don’t know if any blooms could form.” She gave a slight shrug as she twisted her own teacup in her hands, the act seemingly giving her a way to put off the urge to fidget as she pondered over the matter. Their world truly did have some mysteries that even Lutana found hard to even try figuring them out. “Maybe earthlings are simply too diverse with how different they can look, especially if you consider the Matori in comparison to others.” It always amazed her how one could look like they belonged in the ocean but still acted the same as any of the other earthlings, needing air and to be on land just like their Oban neighbors. “Not that Aishans aren’t beautiful and unique in their own way, but the similar traits are there.

Her gaze shifted towards the cup in her hands at the next question and Lutana nodded. “This mystery is one that I truly will never understand, but most say that the leaves are accurate. Their meanings may be vague but once you connect it with something personal it does seemingly make sense.” Maybe some readings were only made true once the client had the thought planted in their mind, but they did still become reality in the end. “An elder once told me about a man who had a reading of ill fate. He unfortunately became obsessed with the reading and stopped trusting others, becoming so abrasive to the point that his own actions became the ill fate as he isolated himself and fell to an accident later on. It’s a shame how he was simply too caught up in trying to avoid fate that he made it happen.” She gave a slight shrug as she took a sip of her own tea, the brew refreshing her throat after so much talking. “Whether the story is true or not it is a good warning to be wary of fate. Even fighting against fate may indirectly make it true in the end.

Very true. I suppose that’s why my family was so nomadic growing up. We simply had to see all of the lovely countries that everyone gushed about when talking of home.” Despite the tease, her gaze did soften at the description of Yael. “You should venture into Pajore at least.” Lutana offered. “I know a cloak may not completely hide you but the city there has a bit of diversity thanks to the busy ports. I was only there once but it was an interesting experience and a good chance to see more about the reclusive Yaeli who still rarely visit our shores.” She smiled as she pondered everything that Doesina told her. “It sounds lovely though, I’m assuming you miss home. Hopefully the leaves will tell you about safe travels when you return there.

Doesina 8

"Of course!" Doesina responded with enthusiasm, bouncing a little where she sat in her excitement. "Trees are universal protectors. They're not just for my Sisters. Like this one." Raising her hands, she spread them above her head in an arch before curling them back around her cup. "You might not be born from it, but that doesn't mean it's any less important or special than mine. It just has a different duty."

She pursed her lips at the next wave of thoughts that the conversation was putting into her head, silently sipping on her tea as she considered things from her angle. How the other races got children was such a strange thing to think about. Even men in general looked so strange in the world when she did see them, no matter how often she did. Her home naturally had none. Not even male hybrids lived where she did, given how much her grandmother was against them and her mother wanted to remain near her immediate family. Doesina had spoken to men plenty of times before, though couldn't call any of them friends. Maybe she should make some efforts to befriend some. It wasn't like they were all that different from her. Just slightly different body types.

"Mm. Makes sense. We don't change too much from each other aside coloring and a few tiny details. I think it's pretty interesting how diverse Earthlings can be. It's not always easy to tell different hybrids apart." She paused to take another sip of the tea, swishing the liquid around in the cup a little bit before putting it back down on the table. "Not that I've seen much but Yaeli in my lifetime," she added with a giggle.

"Perhaps that is what it was predicting. That he would try to stop it when doing nothing was the right course." Feeling herself quite smart for the observation, the Elaria twirled the cup gently by the handle, making a complete circle of where it sat on the table. "I suppose it's a good thing all I asked about was going back home." If she really believed leftover leaves could tell a person what to expect in the near future. Doesina was not one for planning. She liked the here and now, going with what her gut told her was a right decision. It told her to volunteer to go to Jauhar and now look at her, having such fun conversations with Earthlings she might not have made back home.

"I do. I'm hoping I can return soon. Whether I will stay, I don't know. Seeing the beauty of other's homes does sound like a tempting lifestyle. At least for a little bit. I will have to think about it. Is there still time to change my question? I think that is a better one, if traveling would be a good idea for me to consider."
