Quote: The Fairies (7) : The City has been lit up for the Star Festival with banners and twinkling decorations strewn off the windowsills of shop fronts and windows. The gardeners at one particular park have put their heart and soul into creating a fairy's paradise: Fairy lights have been carefully dangled from trees to make strings of stars, little beaded jewels have been hidden among the hedges, and even the old cobwebs have been sprayed with just a touch of glitter. The park is open to everyone and the citizens of Destiny City have been invited to respectfully explore the hidden wonders that have been placed throughout. The park is magical enough on its own but there have also been reports of a strange, ethereal and shimmering stranger in the park. The glimmer of a beautiful costumed figure fluttering through the park has been passed around as rumor, and no matter what anyone claims to see, no one can take a picture of it. As if simply seeing some magical figure isn’t mysterious enough, there are also reports of mischief and small pranks being played at the same time this figure seems to appear. Since arriving, and hearing about the city, Selinur had taken to wandering the city late at night in order to discover whatever he could about it. He knew that you didn't learn everything by only traveling by night, there was a lot to be missed, but he also wasn't that comfortable with looking like one of these huamsn. Loosing his looks, even if it was just a glamor, was still a very strange and odd thing for him. It had been odd enough to have his senses dampened to where they were the same as people here...but to go around looking like them too. It was still very off putting for the senshi of glaze ice.
He'd taken to wandering the city at ngiht and exploring and that was what brought him to a city park, an area with lots of green and some amount of wild life as well. This reminded him of what his home planet had once looked like...though bigger and with more wildlife. He ached for what his homeworld had turne dinto and why had they never noticed, why had they not stopped and fixed it? He knew why...they'd been so caught up in attracting peopel - as many as they could. They'd done unthinkable things to their own planet and they'd brought about their own demise.
Shaking his head, ears twitching and moving atop his head, he silently vowed that he would rebuild his home planet and those who lived there would know not to repeat their past mistake. They'd rebuild and while they'd rebuild the buisness they'd had it would never be as big as it had become. They'd trim back on things even while still trying to appeal to others, so they could collect intell on everyone, but they'd be more cautious and watch what they did more...they'd cut a tree and plant a tree or two in order to balance things. He was already looking into the things the people on this planet werre doing to try and help their own. He hoped they were in time...and that they were doing enough. He hoped they didn't fall to the same ruin as his own planet had fallen.
The park was, as he finally noticed his surroudnings, well decorated for the star festival. This city really took such things seriously...he liked it.

Havasu wanted a spot where him doing stupid stuff wouldn’t be noticed. Especially since he hadn’t actually been an active Knight for years now. It was exponentially more dangerous to do so outside of anywhere but Destiny City, and it was stupid dangerous here, so he avoid it and acted like every other normal human. He could have, and actually did a few times, power up on the rare occasions he ended up back at the city for a short time but every time he did it was mostly to visit his home world, he had found real solace in the silence of the wonder. The calming effect of the constant roar of the falls and the sheer feeling of emptiness. He was alone there. No cell phones, no schedules, no obligations, and no meetings. His time was his own. It was a precious commodity, one that he had very little of. Much like right then. He didn’t have long at all. Just a short hour and a half to ‘see the city and visit friends’ before he inevitably got a call from his personal assistant. The PA kept better time than those science people who made sure everything was set to the same time globally. It was both helpful and annoying. But that's neither here nor there. Right now Hav only had a limited span of time and he wanted to spend that practicing. Namely practicing with his rope. It was fancy looking but not something he really got a chance to work with before his life imploded and rocketed him onto a vastly different trajectory. So there he was, in a fairy themed park, in a quiet spot with normies far, far, away, swinging the braided object around. It was a lot harder than it seemed.

It was just his luc kthat a certain senshi turned up and spotted him, about to toss his rope. "Clearly you're ratherr unpracticed....I would venture to guess a new knight but the aura says otherwise." Came the stated words, so calmly spoken as he stepped out from between some trees and bushes.
"So a knight who has given up his duty for some time but has, for some reason or another, decided to take up his role again." This was a knight, clearly, but of here? As he spoke his blue eyes had been looking for the markings and finally landed on them. Ahh, ok - Pluto.
"Why have you returned to the fighting going on?" Why leave as well but importantly he wished to know why this knight was returning after being gone. What motivation did he have or did he have none and this, right here and now, was for amusment and to cure some boredom? If there was one knight like this how many more knights and even senshi were like this? Treating this like some novalty to enjoy and visit but not take seriously? Didn't they see the problem and know what was going on?

Hav was paying attention, he really was. He felt the aura, he knew it was order, chaos had a vastly different feel to them, he just didn’t realize how off the other aura felt until the other fighter stepped out of the darkness just as the knight finished twirling the rope, tied into a lasso for right now, tossing it across the small space at a rock only for it to land lamely in the grass feet from its intended target. “What?” Havasu absently looked up, figuring he would end up having to explain himself to another fighter but gapped in surprise at the figure that was standing there. The ears were not actually all that strange, nor was all the fur… it seemed like a bad idea in the height of summer but one didn’t get to choose what kind of uniform one got, but it was the aura that had him pausing. It was different. It was still order but…. Not any order he had yet to encounter. “I’m sorry what?” He blinked and focused on what the other was saying, because they were definitely asking him a question. A question he absolutely didn’t hear because he was so gobsmacked by them that he just kind of.. stopped for a second.

His ears twitched in irritation, his tail moving behind him, as he motioned to where the others rope lay in the grass. "A knight who has foorgotten how to use his weapon....a knight and yet lacking in skill. You've left the fighting and now returned I assume. But why?" He repeated, though in different words than the first time, approaching the other calmly. His steps were measured as he approached.
"You clearly have been out of practice for some time...so why re-enter the fighting? Not that you shouldn't....chaos needs to be destroyed, without a doubt, but why leave and now return? You've fallen out of practice and now will need to relearn things." And until then he'd be weak against the enemy, even as a knight, because he was lacking in ways they surely weren't - chaos didn't sleep and didn't give up and leave.

They moved… the ears moved! And a tail! They both moved as if it was natural. Could the figure standing there be a guardian cat? But no, their aura didn’t feel like a guardian cat. They honestly felt like a senshi but even then Havasu wasn’t terribly sure. “Because it's needed,” He answered absently, trying to puzzle out the other powered individual. “Wait, hold on…. What exactly are you?” He asked even as he gathered up his rope. “Not a guardian cat but not a senshi since those ears and tail look real, but your aura is order so what are you? A knight? Can a knight even have a tail?” Hav asked, thoroughly flummoxed by the figure. “I’m Havasu Falls, Knight of Pluto by the way. I’ve been busy with my civilian life and practicing with a rope isn’t exactly normal… or safe outside of this city.” Although there was that one time in Texas where locals thought it would be funny to have the stuffshirts try to lasso a fake calf. He was the only one to get the loop of rope anywhere close to the target.

Raising a brow, a very large dark section on his face, and tilted his head at the other. "A senshi - of course. And yhou rejoined because it's needed...so why leave then? I'm sure you were needed then - as was everyone. The Negaverse has taken hold of nearly this entire planet. Chaos cannot be allowed to fulfill their goal." He stated, voice harsher than perhaps it should be but this was a serious issue. Why would someone backl out of this fight? It wasn't over, not by any means of the word, and yet people were backing out. Did they want to lose and let chaos win? He'd fought chaos and he'd lost his planet to a form of it, as far as he saw it. His planet was lost but he was here and he was alive. he'd figure out a plan of attack and fight to regain his planet...but the brand of chaos he was against wasn't the same sort. Here they had an actual enemy to hit and strike...to kill. Why were they leaving and not killing the chaos here?
"Selinur, senshi of glaze ice. I am no cat nor am I knight. It is good to meet a knight, I have heard of your kind but I've not seen a knight in a long time." He had also not expected to see any knights again and yet Ida had told him there were kngihts here, along with senshi, it was expected than that he'd see one but it was still a surprise to him.

“Because…” How did one explain that they were thrust upon a position that they were not ready for, given responsibilities that they had never asked for, and realized that they had a lot more people relying on them then they ever wanted. “I had responsibilities as a civilian that… well it took priority.” As much as he wanted to be ‘erasing evil in all forms’ from this world Hav realized that it didn’t take just fighting the negaverse to do good in the world. Sometimes all it took was making people happy. His life wasn’t perfect, far from it, but he was doing what he could to help, at least subtly, make things better, starting with the people that worked for him. There was still far to go but it was a start. It was a start. Havasu nodded a greeting to Selinur. Senshi? Ok cool- wait! “What? My kind?” His face kind of just had a ‘wha?’ look on it as he tried to understand exactly what the Senshi had said. It wasn’t exactly like knights were rare, hell he knew like four just tangentially related to him. “Um… we're not an endangered species, you know. Have you been living out in the sticks somewhere?” He frowned. Like seriously? Why would this Senshi ask why Hav was returning to the fight if they were so out of it they hadn’t even met a Knight ‘in a long time’. Something seriously was strange about the other fighter. Between the aura, the furry appendages, and now his statements. Yeah something was definitely strange, hands down.

"Took priority..." As that was a confusing concept for him, which it was. He'd been a senshi and he'd shouldered the weight of a planet and it's safety on his own shoulders, without asking for much help. Things had honestly gone well untill things went bad...there hadn't been much time really for him to be a senshi but he'd taken up the mantel expecting to shoulder it all for a far longer time than he had.
"Yes, your kind." He stated before shaking his head. "Perhaps I should give a bit more context which will explain things better." Approaching closer he pressed a hand to his own chest. "I am Selinur, senshi of Glaze Ice. I have lived over a thousand years...trapped on a planet which has died due to chaos." He'd lived a very long time in isolation because of it. "You're planet recently let out a burst of energy - call. It was enough to allow mt to bring myself here and leave my world, for now. I will return - I must. It is my duty to revive it." And he would, there was no doubt in his voice, nothing but confidence. He had a duty to fulfill and he would do just that, there was no other option in his mind. "Forgive me if I do not understand this civilian responsibility you speak of but I was tasked to care for the people of Selinur and to protect my planet. Civilian and senshi life are one in the same. You live them both in order to serve and protect." You didn't get a day off nor did you get time to do things just for yourself, not really.
"I have not seen a knight since the silver millenium fell and my planet began to fall as well. You are the first since then."

Havasu thought he kept a pretty straight face as the, apparently ancient, senshi gave a brief run down on exactly what he was. So Earth wasn’t alone out there… they weren’t the only planet that had current life. Man would the science world go crazy if they only knew half of what knights and senshi knew, they would just die with what Selinur said. Hav held his tongue, even though he had questions out the a** he wanted to ask, until the old, OLD, senshi finished. “First, this city is lousy with knights so I’m sure you will get to meet more soon given the chance. Second, did your people know who you were? Did they trust you and respect you? Third, have you ever tried to herd cats?” The knight had a feeling that the senshi would have just as many questions for him as he had for the senshi. Personally Hav wanted to know why exactly the senshi came to this planet? What was he hoping to learn?

"I do hope to find more knights, and senshi, Ida has told me there are many here." And that was both good news and troubling news. Why here...why were they only gatghered here and not doing something about that? Why were they being reborn here and not elsewhere - such as places in space? Why this planet? It was...unusual to say the least...unheard of almost. Something had to be special about this planet for such a thing to occure here.
"Of course my people did and they did trust and respect me. They knew the burden I was under as their senshi. My job was to protect them and to help in ruling the planet." And he'd failed at both. He would fix what he had allowed to happen. It would take time but it was more than worth it. But he'd start here and work himself up...he'd lost his wings since coming here and he'd need to regain them before he returned home to right things.
"Herd cats...?" He asked the other curious abotu what he was speaking about. "You mean a Mauvian? The cats who work along side senshi?" He questioned the other. "I have never tried to herd them...some can be rather tempermental and they have a certain pride about them. I would not try to do anything to one of them unless they wished it."

“Ahhh yeah, that's why then.” Havasu just winced and shrugged when the senshi mentioned that his people knew about his ‘job’. “See, most people in this city have no clue who any of the fighters are unless they are directly related. That's not even factoring in the rest of this country let alone any of the other 194 countries that exist on this planet. And before you even ask, no… the leaders can’t even agree on if Climate Change is real even when it is quite literally killing their people.” It sucked majorly and it was something that Hav had never really thought of before he became CEO, after… he realized just how much bullshit happened in the world. Just how many people focused only on themselves and not on the greater good. And sadly he had to be one of those people, at least to some extent. It was the only way to make sure those that worked for him and with him were able to live and thrive. “Even if there was one government, one ruler, people have a strange tendency to be contrary just to be contrary. They aren't likely to do squats unless they really want to. Much like earth cats, not Mauvians. Although they might be the same to some extent.” The knight paused and contemplated the few mauvians he actually knew versus normal house cats. There were actual similarities but overall they were too intelligent. “You’ve got to get out more, that's honestly the best thing I can suggest. Maybe brush up on earth history while you're at it because as ideal as it would be to just wipe out the Negaverse, nothing is that simple.” He kind of wondered what the alien senshi, because that is what he was, would think of Little Boy and Fat Man. Human history was littered with atrocities, add magic to the mix and things easily became incomprehensible.

As he listened he couldn't understand why this place was so very different from his home...at least not at first. Than he sort of, slowly, had an idea on whyt he problem with people not knowing about senshi and knights..and chaos. "The silvermillenium fell a thousand years ago. People here have forgotten about their prince and the senshi of each planet in this system. They forgot and with it the acceptance has vanished. People divided into countries...and it has done nothing but help the Negaverrse in the long run, from the sound of it. If you could operate in the open, and had the peoples support or at least aknowledgement, it wouldn't be the issue that it is now." He said slowly, tasting each word as he spoke. It made sense and was likely at least a large contributing factor in the issues going on.
"The chain of continuous senshi on my planet never ended." So he was known, very well known, and accepted by his people. They knew his duty and he didn't need to hide himself or his actions.
"Climate change is what destroyed my planet...your planet is going the same way - but slower. It will happen though if it continues." Thoughtfully spoken, but with a certain note of seriousness to his words, he knew what could happen and what would almost certainly happen here.
"No, even I know things aren't simple, but it must be done. You have enough in numbers it seems. Sweep them fro mthis city and see to it none remain so they cannot corrupt anyone else. Push out from here, slowly, as you go wipe out every bit of chaos so none remain to corrupt others and reclaim an area. I have not been here long enough but it is my plan to read as much historyu of this planet as I can. I need to in order to survive here for as long as it takes me to restore my own planet." There was no question of if he could reclaim it and rebuild. It was going to happen, simple as that, it was just a matter of time for him...and he had a lot of that.

Havasu nodded in agreement when Selinur seemed to grasp what he was trying to explain. Things were not so simple here on Earth as it was, or at least as it had been, on his planet. “Exactly. Like herding cats. Can’t get one person to do what you say let alone the whole world. It’s just not possible.” Boy did Hav know that one. Even as something ‘small’, relatively speaking, as his company encountered such problems. Very few people worked just for the benefit of the company, most were only out to help themselves. Speaking of only working for themselves. “Yeah. The sad part is most of us know this and yet, those that are causing the biggest problems are not willing to do anything about it because it will cut into their bottom line. It will take time and money, neither of which they want to give up.” Hav had done his best over the last few years to at least direct his company in a more green direction. It wasn’t much but it was something at least. Selinur’s plan just had Hav shake his head sadly. Like ‘fixing Climate Change’, eradicating chaos was a dream. It was possible but it would take every one of the order fighters working together, fighting in lockstep, to erase the negaverse from their little city. That wasn’t even factoring in the rest of the country, or the world. It was an ideal plan, a dream within a dream really. Order was drowning and most of them were not willing to do what needed to be done in order to survive. This was something that still haunted Havasu to this day. Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. “Check out our history and if you're looking for ways to maybe fix your home planet look into the technologies we have that might be useful. That's one thing Earthlings have, we are resourceful little ******** chatter, far enough to make out the noise but not the content, had Hav glancing in that direction. They had to be careful because the negaverse had one hell of a PR team and most civies didn’t like anyone dressed up in strange outfits… unless they too were one of them.

"If people will not work to fix the climate change problems - you will wind up like my planet. You will all die, slowly, and there will be no food and nothing to stop the heat which will destroy everything which grows." He spoke, looking around the city. It too would fall victim to the disaster the people of this planet were marching towards...like blind idiots. Even greedy people cared about themselves and their own life.
"I will fix my planet...and when you mess this one up...I will offer refuge on my planet to some - if it is needed." And if they did not mess up his planet, he would not permit it to happen a second time.
"Maybe before then people will realize the problem and fix it - maybe chaos will be defeated." But somehow, from the words this knight spoke, he was doubting it. They would learn though...they would all learn - he knew it. "If you prove good...if things fall to chaos and you are still alive..I will offer you refuge." So long as his own planet was back up and sustaining itself. He would have to work hard, and fast, to achieve this. If these knights and senshi couldn't save themselves some would need a place to go...a place to be safe and regroup. He'd offer it to those he could.
"We should meet again...soon." He heard somethign as well and was turning towards the sound as he spied something...or someone. They looked...etheral... "Not from here, are they?"
