The Fireflies (6) : In the warm summer nights, little glowing lights begin to bob and dart through the city. Fireflies are mating, so this isn't uncommon in itself; in the past few days you've probably seen hundreds of fireflies. What makes these lights so unique is that they seem to change color; you might see a blue one, a green one, a red one. They flicker randomly, and something just seems off with them. If you come into contact with one, you will find yourself with a strange electric jolt. They cannot be caught, and will flicker away if you pursue too aggressively. This isn’t the first time they’ve appeared in Destiny City, but no one’s been able to tell where they came from or where they’re going. No matter how quickly you chase them, they always seem to disappear before you can find any answers.
Sailor Sekhmet knew he needed to stay with his friends (though it sometimes felt more like they were his keepers) and stay covered up and out of sight on this strange new world of Earth for his own safety, until they could get the items needed to prepare him for a new life on Earth, but he was a creature of the wind (the hot wind and the sand to be true) and a creature of such did not stay cooped in such airtight buildings and covered up so much in the heat. He should be free for the wind to blow on his skin.
Sekhmet wandered out into the dark and found some of the local insect life. How interesting - the most interesting insect on Sekhmet was the Scarab representing rebirth and immortality - and somehow was a dung beetle. Most insect life in the desert were horrible: fleas, locauts, flies, maggots; the like.
His friends had spoken of these and pointed them out - fireflies, they glowed a rather greenish yellow. Wait - that one was blue, and this one over here was pink? What was going on?

Selinur was new to the planet and was thus unfamiliar with fireflies and exactly what was and wasn't normal for them. The flashing colors of tiny insects was rather interesting, he'd never seen such things back home, so he'd decided to sit and watch and observe. he was doing that a lot lately - observing. There was a lot to learn and he was going to do all that he could in the way of learning, it was one thing his people were good at. Never mind that his people had been good at learning other peopels secrets, and other various things about other people and other planets, he was set to leanring about this planet and the chaos here so he could assist in the war. This, small as it may be, was a part of this planet and he'd learn about them because he could.
So he sat on a bench watching them as his tail moved and his ears twitched atop his head. The blond hair was blown in the wind and the senshi of glaze ice wished for colder tempatures and snow. It was much too warm here for his clothing and the fut and lining to his clothing. He'd heard winter would be in a few months time and than it would be cold, and there would be snow, he was awaiting that time.
For now he shifted and hoped he wasn't sweating too much...that he wasn't too gross, he couldn't smell himself as well as he would have if he'd still been on Selinur. He was still adjusting to the lacking senses...he disliked it very much.

Sekhmet followed the swarm over to a park bench, where there was seated the strangest creature, he ever did see. (And that was saying something - as he was a Sekhmite Gold Skin from the world of Sekhmet, the last of the Sekhmites of any Skin and he was here on Earth with Humans). This creature was Humanoid, but with Feline features and seemed to be a Senshi as well?!?!!? From what Sekhmet understood, the creature was either a Deep Space Senshi like himself or one of those new-fangled Mauvian Senshi. "Uh hello there, I'm DSS Sailor Sekhmet." It felt strange calling himself a DSS.

Hopefully since he couldn't smell himself no one on this planet could,if their noses were like his was now he was safe, he simply didn't like this weather. He had a duty however and that had him out, as he needed to learn and for that he couldn't shut himself away in Ida's apartment. He wasn't expecting someone to join him, although that had been happening a lot lately, but someone did turn up.
They didn't seem all that normal either, perhaps even more abonormal than he himself was. Their skin was certainly stand out, skin was not meant to be that color, a person would stand out like a becon with skin that color. It would, on his planet, get you found in no time and dealt with if you were also some sort of an enemy.
"Selinur, senshi of glaze ice." He offered up as he nodded his head once in greeting. So another senshi...and one who was most certainly like himself. So he hadn't been the only one to feel the energy and the call which came with it. But why had another answered the call and come here? Since the crisis on his planet he hadn't had contact with other planets, people had stopped visiting as well, so he didn't know what had happened elsewhere in space. Of course planets had fallen, it was why so many senshi and knights had been reborn here - as humans. But for others to perhaps have survived whatever had happened...and than to come here? Was it possible.
"What brings you here?" Motioning around them both, to the air and the city..and the park - and the planet.

Sekhmet frowned. "That is complicated, but I will attempt to explain. I rather should be inside - as I don't really have a glamour yet, but I can't stand to be cooped up in airtight buildings. My people are a desert living people. My friends and former comrades have taken me in; however, they live with their family, who don't even know about the powered world, or that they are powered beings - let alone that I'm hiding in their four-bedroom house - so currently there are eight humans living in the house (2 infants; 3 adults I'm supposed to stay hidden from), a Mauvian Kitten (who also has to hide his true nature from the adults - and myself. It's really crowded, and by nature I hate being cooped up, and I hate the 'air-conditioning' that makes the temperature colder- I prefer hot. I needed some fresh air, so I snuck out and was planning on sneaking back in later." He looked away. "I know my friends are just trying to protect me, but it isn't easy -and I know it isn't easy for them either." He sighed. "As for Earth, that's where it gets complicated... to be honest... and I don't know if you'd believe this...," He was silent for a moment. "A thousand years ago... my friends tell me it was... I can't believe it myself. We were the Court of Ra - There were a bunch of us - I can't remember everyone. And the Senshi were an adopted family - stripped of biological families and names due to conventions and laws on our homeworlds, so the Mauvians assigned to our Court, unofficially adopted us, as we were all quite young. One day tragedy struck - and one of our worlds fell, and the forces of many of our worlds including their Senshi went with it. I however, survived and with the other Survivors, tried to protect all the worlds, and then travel between worlds shut down without warning. My friends here tell me that was when the Silver Millenium fell. Soon after that, an asteroid (or so we thought) hit our world and wiped out a lot of life around it. Soon, the rocky skin crumbled and revealed a giant, stinkin' cabbage or that is what it seemed to - All I knew was that it had Chaotic Energy flowing from it. Anyone who got too near was absorbed into it, their images and voices later used in illusions to lure others nearer to it. When no came near, it would sink its vile roots into the ground and drain energy from Mother Sekhmet herself. She therefore poured more and more energy into me to keep me ageless. After about 500 years, it absorbed everyone on the planet but myself and I just fighting... after another 500 years -- well it started blurring together, I was alone, and I had nearly given up. Then a band of energy crossed the path of my planet's orbit, and I swear, for the first time, I heard Mother Sekhmet's voice - 'There is hope. Where that came from. Go NOW!' So I went - and found Earth. And one of my friends found me - the friend whose planet fell first... Many of my friends from the Court, have been reborn here...." "Oh dear... have I been rambling... my apologies." Sekhmet exclaimed.

"Former comrades? You imply that you are living with others of our kind...but you do not mention other ancients." Because they were just that - ancient. These people on this planet were mere children, and they died as children when compared to his long life. It was a hard thing to understand, to wrap his mind around, living such a short life and having to fit so many things into it. How did they manage that?
"Your friends tell you...they told you of the past? Do you not remember it all? The court you were a part of?" He questioned, wondering if things had become so blured, and the time spent alone had been so overwhelming, that memories had faded for the other senshi. It was possible he supposed, he didn't know much about such things however, but at least the other was having gaps filled in.
When the other caught themself rambling Selinur held up a hand slowly. "It is fine to ramble, much has happened and we are still getting used to this planet. It is good to know allies of yours, from the past, have been reborn here." That would not, nor could possibly be, the case for Selinur. His planet, and himself personally, had never had allies. His planet had always kept to being neutral in all things, as it allowed them to host peoples from everywhere in the cosmos. It allowed them to do what they did best - gather information.
"Have you encountered the Negaverse since you have arrived?" He asked, wanting to know what the other might know of the enemy, if he'd even encountered them.

Sekhmet nodded, then stopped. "Well, sort of - they are Senshi - not Ancients but reborn. They are in fact, some of my adopted family - reborn. One has been reawakened long enough, that he has done extensive repair to his Homeworld and thus gained much and of his Memories back." Sekhmet frowned. "After so long alone... some memories faded, others blurred. Some remain strong - some of my adopted family, and of their deaths..." "I grow tired of the airtight cold housing, but I need a glamour and a senshi phone, and my henshin pen needs repair. The Mauvian, (who happened to be a part of my adopted family as well and somehow made it to Earth) is working on them, but still a brand-new apprentice, and so, is having trouble. However, I fear I need to get back soon, before I am missed." Sekhmet groaned.

"I've gained the glamor to look like I fit in here." Something he deeply disliked but he knew it was needed, and he wouldn't have turned it down, it would help him survive on this planet for as long as he was here. The phone was also needed and he was glad to have it, it would prove useful he was certain. "The phone I've gained as well." His pen hadn't been broken, or lost, thankfully so hadn't been in need of repair. How was it possible to remain powered up, such as thhe other was, with a broken pen though? He'd find a mauvian and ask them that question, he didn't want Sekhmet knowing he was asking abotu such a thing. It would be terriblyh impolite of him to ask the other as well.
"While you prefer the heat I find it stiffling and not at all what I want to experience for more than necessary." His home planet had always been cold, and snow covered, before the fall of the silver millenium and his world. The heat was not something his people were ever made for - whatg he hadn't been amde for. He was waiting for the fall and winter to arrive, though the fall didn't sound like it would be cold enough for him, he still wanted to see what it was like.
"Ah, I see. They worry for you and you try and keep close." How cute, he thought. It was, he supposed, what courts and teams were like...nothing he knew about. "If you need to head back perhaps you should, before they come looking for you."

"I see, you must really love the cold," Sekhmet said, gesturing to Selinur's fuku. "Well, it was good to meet you. Thank you for talking." And with that he hurried off.
