Vauxite had completed his quota for the evening and had opted out of heading home just yet. Riley was home waiting for him, but the Chesapeake Bay Retriever was becoming accustomed to him not being there until late. They still went on walks in the early morning before work and again in the afternoon before he powered up to go on patrol.
Without Cadah there, Riley was definitely restless at first but at almost seven years old, his dog was getting up there in age and slowing down a bit. But when he saw Jenna, it was as if his old dog had become a puppy once more. Tail wagging so hard it felt like the side of his own legs was being hit with a whip. There was actually a light bruise on the side of his knee.
No matter, regardless of the consequences, it was nice to speak to his sister even though she was unaware it was him.
For now, though, Vauxite sat atop a roof, feet dangling over the side while his passive power kept him hidden from view; it did little for his signature but it was at least some security while he watched the silent fireworks illuminate the night sky with a myriad of colors.
“Kind of nice not having car alarms going off.”
All seemed to be going well until a signature brushed the edge of his senses. Vauxite became alert then, sitting up he reached for the sparkling earring and realized that his General hadn’t been given the other piece, both were till attached to his own ear. “s**t-” he hissed through clenched teeth.
Lower ranked senshi or Pages, he could handle. But an Eternal was beyond his capability. <******** me, was this one aware of the fights he’s been in with the other white moon senshi. Vauxite’s mind raced as he tried to think of a safe way out of this predicament. The Eternal would be like Rakovanite, stronger and faster on foot than himself; but they wouldn't be able to teleport, which didn’t really help now since he couldn’t either.
Perhaps they’d choose to leave rather than pick a fight.
Although he hoped, Vauxite was certain that wasn’t the case, so he instead summoned his weapons to hand; plastic icicles that didn’t do much but could look intimidating and were annoying to the person on the receiving end of their assault when he threw them at his opponent. For now, though, he’d sit and wait patiently to see how things would pan out; hopefully, he wouldn’t need to bother Rakovanite to come help handle this situation.
Not really one for an initial conversation, Vauxite was oddly inclined to make an exception. Especially since the odds in this possible battle were most definitely not in his favor.
Vauxite’s breathing evened out, his heartbeat steady, and he waited hoping, no- praying, that the gift he’d been given, this passive powered ability that seemed to manifest when he was still, kept him well hidden and safe for the time being. He’d really hate to have to go to the hospital this close to the holidays. The last thing he’d need was to fabricate some lie or blame injuries on possible fireworks. A bridge he’d cross later assuming he made it out of this encounter conscious and alive.

Ghost File: Virus
The Negaverse has given Vauxite a dark gift appropriate for a former Mercury Knight. While standing still, his form becomes static-like allowing him to blend in with the surrounding area. His aura, in this inactive state, becomes glitchy; bouncing around him in a 3' radius (1 arm's length around his actual position).

I'll keep future tags shorter, I just wanted to make sure I got the 500 words in.
