Quote: The Fairies (7) : The City has been lit up for the Star Festival with banners and twinkling decorations strewn off the windowsills of shop fronts and windows. The gardeners at one particular park have put their heart and soul into creating a fairy's paradise: Fairy lights have been carefully dangled from trees to make strings of stars, little beaded jewels have been hidden among the hedges, and even the old cobwebs have been sprayed with just a touch of glitter. The park is open to everyone and the citizens of Destiny City have been invited to respectfully explore the hidden wonders that have been placed throughout. The park is magical enough on its own but there have also been reports of a strange, ethereal and shimmering stranger in the park. The glimmer of a beautiful costumed figure fluttering through the park has been passed around as rumor, and no matter what anyone claims to see, no one can take a picture of it. As if simply seeing some magical figure isn’t mysterious enough, there are also reports of mischief and small pranks being played at the same time this figure seems to appear.
Soleiyu had felt it on his radar well before he knew who he’d felt. The little hum of a starseed ready for more power. A hurt starseed, one that had too much energy, that had been neglected for so long.
He was glad to meet Beira on a calm night. They hadn’t been out of contact, but Beira had a busy job and Soleiyu couldn’t intervene when he was doing what he could to make the world a better place–with magic, or otherwise.
He imagined it wasn’t as easy, not with erratic magic.
He didn’t know how much time Beira had spent on his homeworld, or practicing, but he knew that his starseed was trying.
So, Soleyiu intended to help. He’d found Beira in the park. He understood why, there was something strange, something magical there. Of course it would have caught his attention–it had caught Soleiyu’s several times already over the nights.
They hadn’t been there for very long; they were talking quietly, catching up. Soleiyu had asked for his Henshin Pen and was sitting on the bench, diligently working at it.
The strange sensation of someone watching, of someone nearby, was brushed off as just an oddity in the park–it was always like this. At least, this time of year. Soleiyu had already experienced a bit of mischief, and judging from what Beira had said, so had he. There were plenty of reasonable, safe excuses.
…They probably didn’t have anything to worry about.

There was nothing wrong in a civilian following a guardian cat, and when she had noticed the cat meeting up with a senshi, she had waited behind a tree for a moment, and then after planning out a course of actions that would be the wisest, powered up and left her hiding spot as Corrupted Sailor Helena. “Am I interrupting the two of you, or can I join in on this little powwow? I can assure you, I love learning new things~”
The cat had the senshi’s henshin pen, and Helena’s eyes lit up with curiosity. Was this…something going on? Something she should know about? Try to get information on?
What would happen if she took his pen? Would that gain access for Helena to have his powers? To gain control of the senshi himself? Oh. What a lot of interesting thoughts and schemes that had decided to pop into her brain. And she loved each and every one of them. “Don’t let me interrupt you! In fact, just continue on, unless you’re at your Wits End~”Kyuseisha no Hikari Wits end! Holding out a hand, Sailor Helena says her attack, and a beam of dark blue light shoots from her palm. The beam has a radius of five feet and a range of five feet, and all those who are touched by the light will feel confused, as though they are faced with a problem that they can't see any way to solve. The attack can effect up to five people, and the effects last thirty seconds. Can be used one time.

The second the Chaos signature manifested, Beira was repulsed. He couldn't help it; he turned to face her but his body still went rigid and stiffened. He couldn't get over how thick and slimy the Negaverse auras were; it wasn't unlike a wet blanket being wrapped around him. Draped over him, shoved into his mouth.
He knew how dangerous the Negaverse could be and he wasn't going to take any changes--especially not when he knew how important Soleiyu was to all of this.
Instinctively, Beira had moved in front of the Mauvian. Even without instruction, he took it upon himself to do whatever was necessary to fully shield him from the Corrupted Senshi's magic. He didn't know what it could do but he wasn't going to take any chances. He was durable, but Soleiyu? He was small.
...And had his Henshin pen.
The positive? Soleiyu was safe. The negative? Beira took the blast full on. Even if he’d raised his hand to defend himself, it wouldn’t have done anything differently–it still hit him.
The surprising thing was that it didn’t hurt. Except, he couldn’t figure out what it did. For a few seconds he held his breath and just looked at her, trying to tell if this was what she’d wanted or if her magic was disobeying her, too.
As the seconds ticked on, his eyes narrowed–not with anger but with confusion, because…
What was she doing there? He knew her, didn't he? Wait, no. He didn't know a corrupted Senshi that looked like her. A white moon Senshi, sure, but--
Why was she here? –Wait, what was he doing there?
And he was supposed to–someone had just told him something, who–what?
Frustration was building rapidly and Beira could feel his heart rate increasing because he knew--
Knew what? He couldn’t remember. She was bad, he knew that! –Right?

It was so fun to watch her magic confuse people, and Helena hummed, watching the senshi try to puzzle out whatever his dumb little brain had decided to make into an issue. “Problems? If you’re confused as to what you should be doing, I can very easily fix all of that for the both of you~ Calling on a Sovereign would be so very easy and I know you would both be welcomed into the right path with open arms.”
Helena raised her voice a little louder, knowing that the Mauvian was nearby. She could feel him, after all.
“And you, fluffy kitty. I’ll keep you as my own! My mistress will adore you too, I’m sure! You’ll be so loved and spoiled and just absolutely adored…and a cat like you, I bet that’s what you really want out of life, isn’t it? Now, why don’t you just come out and give me that cute little henshin pen and the both of you come home! We’ll have a party! Doesn’t that sound fun?”
It did to her, at any rate. And the very amount that Mirzam would praise her…oh. That sounded terribly fun too.

The worst part of all of this was that in the haze of her words sometimes making sense and sometimes drifting away, Beira thought he recognized her.
Not like this. But he thought he remembered–a reindeer?
No, that made even less sense. It must have been something else. Maybe. But–
The haze was thinning, but not fast enough.
For a few seconds more Soleiyu did not emerge from the bushes, but when he did the first thing he managed to do was throw Beira’s pen at him. “Use it,” he demanded, and then turned to face Helena, sucked in a breath, and–
Fired his laser at her. It took too much energy but he was determined to buy Beira some time. Even just a few seconds would have been enough, and–
There it was.
Beira’s energy signature fluctuated for a second–a basic to a super senshi.
He’d taken the pen, and even if he hadn’t understood exactly what Soleiyu was saying, he used it in the only way he knew how, and–
Beira felt the energy flood through him. Felt the power. Felt a little bit of discomfort, like needles on his fingers and in his chest, but it was enough.
Her magic had faded. He saw Soleiyu wobble just a bit and lunged to grab him. He tucked him under one arm and dismissed his pen to make sure it stayed safe.
“You need to leave, now. Before you get hurt.”
Beira couldn’t trust his magic. He didn’t always know what it was going to do.
But, he wasn’t going to get corrupted. He wasn’t going to let Soleiyu get corrupted.
Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Lonely ChillSailor Beira gestures to a target within his line of sight and a chilly wind surges towards them. The wind does no damage, but the chill clings to them, seeps into them, and grips at their heart, leaving them suddenly feeling alone and unwanted. They may feel rejected, abandoned, and like they don't fit in; however the player wants to interpret it, they may, but a deep sense of loneliness will plague them for 30 seconds, after which the sensation will fade along with the coolness that accompanied it unless the player chooses to have the sensation persist for longer. This magic can be used three times.

There were so many things happening at once, and Helena couldn’t quite keep up. The cat did come out, like a dog who had been called to dinner but then it shot a laser at her face, and with a squeal, Helena tried to dodge. It still hit her shoulder and she felt her whole arm fall numb in response and…that wasn’t a very nice sensation.
“You think that…this is going to stop me? The fact that he’s now stronger and you’re just…I changed my mind! I’m going to sell you to some hungry family to make kitty stew, you stupid cat. That hurt.”
Kind of. Hurt enough that it was terribly distracting.
Helena was so focused on her anger with the Mauvian that she hadn’t truly noticed the fact that the senshi had used his magic until she suddenly shivered and thought about the fact that Mirzam wouldn’t be happy with her over this. There was no way she’d be happy with results like this. Empty hands and the whole fact that…she had lost all of the elements of surprise and.
For a moment, the corrupt simply gaped like a fish, brows furrowed, and then her head tilted, her eyes obscured by the shine of her glasses. She had to go. She had failed this battle but.
She would win the next one.
But for now. Retreat.
And thus, Helena teleported.
