The merchant raised his brows just slightly. “Oh, you might be small, but you have a big heart. I can’t help myself when food’s involved. You know, it’s so difficult to get a good meal out there, off of Earth. I find myself indulging quite regularly while I’m here. There simply isn't enough time to try everything, though. Thank you. Of course, it isn’t good business practice not to offer anything in exchange. It’s only fair.”
Besides, she was small. It wasn’t like there was much she could carry away from his table, anyway.
He could indulge in a little gratitude.
Especially when her offering smelled
divine.
“It’s nice to meet you, Coco. You’re colorful, perhaps I can give you a gift, too.”
He seemed to know where everything was on his table, and it took him only a second to pluck a pastel, rainbow colored bow off of his table. It looked like it had a beautiful watercolor gradient. In the center, a pretty golden star. “It matches, don’t you think?”
