The Caves (5) : To any explorers visiting the new Reservoir, they may find that just a bit away from the sandy water are a set of caves. Some of these connect back to the lake, but others rapidly plunge into darkness. It wouldn't be hard to get lost in here, but thankfully there are some very odd lights to help guide you out. If you turn off your light down some of these dark paths, you may find yourself surrounded by glowing pastel lights. A closer inspection reveals that you seem to be looking at some sort of glowing caterpillars. An internet search will reveal that Destiny City scientists have been researching the strange, unnamed creatures, but the articles are very limited. If you take them out of the cave they seem to shrivel up almost immediately. They’re neat, but clearly meant to be stay in their natural habitat.

Dari had snuck out once more and followed Daddy (without his knowledge) on his patrol to the reservoir. Once they got there, he wandered off down the beach, sniffing this and pawing that, farting here and there. At one point, his curiosity drove him up to a coralized rock, to get some fishing in - oh did he love that dried fish, seasoned just right. But what was it called? He hadn't had it in so long. Hmm when had he had it? That memory was lost, as was the name of the dish.

He lost interest in the fish - they weren't biting, and they were too jumpy and wet. He wandered away and soon found his way to some interesting Caves. Still sniffing and pawing, he wandered in, not paying attention to where he was going. There were many twists and turns, until he lost sight of the entrance and there was absolutely no light in the cave whatsoever, not even his own paws.

Now he began to see the danger with what he had done. Daddy was always trying to teach him to think before he acted, and this time could cost him his life. He pulled out his communicator and attempted to call Daddy, Aunt Dria, Aunt Dani - anyone for help, but he had forgotten to charge it in a while... it was dead. He was on his own.

He decided to use his instincts - his sense of smell and touch, as well as hearing. He was soon moving well through the caves, hardly ever bumping into anything.

Soon he encountered a strange smell coming from up ahead. What is that smell? He wondered and followed the smell. Soon he found himself in a large cavern, surrounded by thousands of colorful pastel lights. Upon further inspection, these were given off by glowing caterpillars lining the walls.

He moseyed his way up to one with a purple light and sniffed it. Yep, the smell was definitely coming from them. Hmm... I wonder how they taste? He moved his muzzle up to the caterpillar, pulled back his lips and carefully took a nibble.

Blah! He spat it out immediately! Yuck! It was nasty! The remains fell upon a dusty Star Charm. Jeez, those things were coming out of the rockwork's ears.

Suddenly, he heard someone calling his name. It was Daddy. Somehow Daddy figured that he had snuck into the back of the police car and made his way to the caves. Somehow, he made it out of the cave and then to Daddy, who was already upset with him.

However, Daddy took one look at him and asked him, "What have you been eating? Your mouth is glowing!" The glow lasted for about an hour. Daddy was very disappointed in him. However, how does one discipline a sentient, super intelligent cat child that has a Human glamour and that actually chose them to be their parent? When in reality, they are bonded Senshi and Mauvian partners? That would be difficult for anyone, however.

Drew was wiser than his years. He sat Dari down and told him how disappointed he was in him and how hurt he was by his actions. That alone was enough to make Dari to think twice about his actions.
