The Wishing Tree (1): A Destiny City Star Festival Tradition to be held every year; In Town Square, there is a beautiful tree with spreading branches. It is tall, but the lowest branches are easily reached. The city has decorated the tree with small, starlike ornaments and glistening lights. Thick leaves and beautiful purple flowers dangle from the branches, along with a myriad of different colored papers with handwritten wishes. Next to the tree is a stack of blank paper with twine attached, and a handwritten sign that explains:
Write your wish on a sheet of paper and tie it to the tree. Take one wish off the tree and do your best to grant it. When you have granted the wish, bury the paper in the park.
The papers are biodegradable and filled with seeds. There are no rules for wishing, but you are encouraged to wish for something vague enough that it can be interpreted in many ways so that it can be granted; you do not write your name on it, but it is encouraged to write something that doesn’t wish for self gain, but rather something that can make the world a better place. Some wishes dangling from the tree already include things like “I wish there wasn’t so much litter in the park,” “I wish someone would clean the graffiti off the old historic buildings,” and “I wish there were more volunteers at the shelter.”
If you choose to use the Wishing Tree, what do you wish for? If your wish is private, you may write it on the paper and choose a spot in the park and bury it yourself instead of hanging it on the tree.

Seble Granger looked up at the tree and then down at the paper in her hand and she frowned wishes, did she have wishes anymore? Did she have hopes and dreams? She just wasn't sure anymore. Since the battle everything just felt a little bit off. She served the negaverse but she didn't really belong. Senshi were not respected or kept close. She had her crew that had welcomed her but that was about it. Everyone else looked down on senshi. Her heart told her something was wrong but she couldn't remember why it was wrong. She wrote on the paper "I wish I could remember." It was all she wanted currently then perhaps she could put the pieces of her life back together again.
She sighed she wasn't sure if she believed it, could a wish actually do anything to help her? She didn't make eye contact with anyone else at the wishing tree but she was spoiling for a fight if anyone bothered her too much. She was just frustrated and words had never been her strong suit. She had grown up on a farm and had chosen to leave them behind and change her identity when she entered the neganerse.

Alexander Ortiz hung his paper on the branches, patting the little piece gently. "Who knows, maybe you'll work out, eh?"He took a step back from the tree, unfortunately not looking well enough as he did. Crowded spaces and big man rarely mixed, as he remembered too late before the collision. Alexander's back harshly bumped into Seble before he could stop himself, foot grinding to a halt as he felt the contact at his back. Too quickly he turned around, his elbow out too much and knocking at her again. "Oh, shoot! Are you okay there? I didn't notice you and stepped a little too fast, it seems." He asked down to her, lowering himself into a bit of a squat to look at her more directly.

Seble turned and struck out at the guy who had run into her without thinking, "Yea you better be sorry." She said harshly. She frowned and looked at him wondering what his deal was when she finally heard that he hadn't meant to run into her. She didn't want to apologize to him though. So if he tried to attack her she would deal with it when it came. She waited to see what he would do and stood her ground she didn't intend to back down not even a little bit. She was ready for this and kinda wanted it.

Alexander lurched back a bit as she struck him. Before he realized it, one large hand came up to shove back at her in return, palm thrusting at her shoulder. "Hey, I said sorry. What's your problem?" He snapped at her as his hand flung out in the strike. His foot swept backwards, settling himself into a passive but ready stance, his eyes fixed on her. A fight beneath the wishing tree? Did someone wish for these hands?

Sebi frowned and glared a bit but he wasn't taking it to the next level, he was just waiting to see if she was going to continue the fight. She huffed out a breath. She rolled her eyes and then said "My problem.." She paused she wasn't sure what her problem was perhaps too many to mention. "It doesn't matter." She shook her head "I'm sorry I hit you.." She looked down not making eye contact. She shuffled her feet in the dirt she was annoyed and embarrassed by the situation. She looked up at the tree and thought about her wish.

Alexander relaxed his stance as she seemed to drop it, eyeing her warily for a moment before his face shifted to concern. He stayed where he was but offering a small smile, rubbing the back of his neck. "No, it's on me. I bumped into you, and didn't look where I was going. I should be more careful." He shrugged to her. "Would you uh... Sometimes talking about it helps?"

Sebi sighed and shook her head "I can't put all the blame on you, I could have handled it better." She thought a moment "I don't think it's something you could understand." After all how did she explain that she had given up her family for fear that the negaverse would hurt them since she was working with them? She felt something off inside her a chaos that she wasn't sure was right or wrong. She also wasn't sure she liked the negaverse with its soldiers. She wasn't sure senshi were actually respected no matter what that one corrupt said.

"Maybe my lack of understanding will help? You know I'm definitely unbiased that way," he laughed. "If it's not something you'd rather talk about though, and it's making you stressed... Do you want to fight anyways? I mean, obviously not like a street fight brawl, but we could spar. I've done some martial arts in my day, and it could be fun."His hands playfully came up in front of his face, like a boxer's, mock jabs going forward and back in quick succession. "Weird for two people who just met, but you know, weirder stuff happens, yeah?"

She shook her head "Nah I don't want to talk about my feelings, but I'll take you up on the sparring match. I'm Sebi." She shrugged "Stanger things have happened in this city I guarantee you."

"Alex," he said in return as he nodded towards her. He stepped a bit away from the tree, heading for a more open patch on the grassy area. Weirder things had certainly happened, but a random fight bursting out in the midst of a crowd would still call some attention he'd rather not have. Dropping into a gentle stance again, Alex let out a steady breath as he flashed a sign for Sebi to take the lead. She had said she didn't want to talk, so he was content to let the emotions be handled in the spar. His eyes kept focused on her, flicking between her eyes and her feet, trying to keep an eye on her movements and targets. MiddyGlow It's time to d-d-d-d-d-duel!

Sebi nodded and charged forward and aimed to hit him in the center of his mass. She then jumped back to see what he would do next. She wanted to be on top of the action and ready for whatever was to come next.

Alexander held his ground, taking the strike with a grunt as his muscles tensed at the last moment to help absorb the blow. Quickly, as she was jumping back, his foot swept out in an arc, cutting low along the ground to throw his leg at where he expected her ankles would go.

Sebi stumbled and fell to the ground. She growled as she scrambled to get to her feet. She was tempted to transform so she would be able to use her magic and teach this guy a lesson he would never forget.

Alexander, much less mad, rose back up to height as he finished the spin. Not leaving much ground to wait, he moved forward, hands flying out in two quick blows towards her as she scrambled up to her feet. "Come on, don't be afraid to put your back into it," he said with a small smile. He couldn't help having some fun with it all.
