The gardeners at one particular park have put their heart and soul into creating a fairy's paradise: Fairy lights have been carefully dangled from trees to make strings of stars, little beaded jewels have been hidden among the hedges, and even the old cobwebs have been sprayed with just a touch of glitter. The park is open to everyone and the citizens of Destiny City have been invited to respectfully explore the hidden wonders that have been placed throughout. The park is magical enough on its own but there have also been reports of a strange, ethereal and shimmering stranger in the park. The glimmer of a beautiful costumed figure fluttering through the park has been passed around as rumor, and no matter what anyone claims to see, no one can take a picture of it. As if simply seeing some magical figure isn’t mysterious enough, there are also reports of mischief and small pranks being played at the same time this figure seems to appear. Summer wasn't necessarily Shoqafa's favorite time of year. His sleeves were rolled back to reveal the skin beyond his elbow, top button of his shirt unbuttoned and no tie as he walked through the park. There had been rumors of something here, something that warranted more investigation and while he saw things that were certainly pleasant, there was nothing out of the ordinary that he saw. It wasn't a bad time, however, and while the summertime was often a time that had less work, there was still so much he needed to do, so it wasn't often that he took time to simply enjoy, exist, and live in the moment. Relaxed as he ever was, hands tucked into his pockets, he wandered aimlessly, almost zoning out, really.

It was hot out, and Casablaca knew that she was lucky--her magical girl outfit was light and airy, and she didn't feel like she was going to die in the heat. And, besides, she'd heard there was a lot of activity in the park, all bedecked with stars and fairy lights, and a lot of ordinary activity probably meant a lot of bad guy activity--which was just not tolerable.
If the civilians of Destiny City were out enjoying a celebration, it was her duty as a Knight to defend that enjoyment.
So she was wandering the park, enjoying the glitter, and she spotted a tall, familiar figure.
"Shoqafa!" She waved, and jogged forward, grinning broadly. "Hey! It's been a while!" To say the very least.
...Casablanca was not a very good Knight.

He couldn't help but blink in confusion -- no one knew who he was, not by name, not like this -- but after a moment he turned and saw Casablanca, confusion melting away into a soft smile. "Ah, hello there. Glad to see you're doing okay." And really, he was. It'd been months since he'd seen her last, and he couldn't help but worry. Of course, they've both learned more about this whole...chaos and order thing, (At least, he hoped she had. His own knowledge wasn't near where he wanted it to be, but oh how he was trying.) "Come to see all the excitement?" He wouldn't ask if she was patrolling. He was, but that didn't mean she was. (Even if logic dictated she ought to be. Surely...)

|"It's good to see you too," Casablanca said, cheerily. Running into someone she knew was always sort of a weird experience; there were so few people she had ever seen twice, but Shoqafa was one of them.
"I heard about all the magic," she said, "and, you know, I had to come poke around. It sounded like fun, and I figured that maybe some nasty Negas might be out trying to take advantage of the crowds, and it'd be a good idea ot try and stop them, so..." She shrugged, flashing a brief smile. "What about you? Out doing Knight stuff, or just coming to take a look around the park?"

"Mm, a bit of both, really," he hummed, eyes moving to look over those nearby, alert but not overly so -- there was nothing noticeably off, therefore...it was best to look casual. Or as casual as any Knight could, regardless of planet. "Seemed a good excuse to get away from my other work, and if no one can recognize me like this..." Well, there was no one to spot him and try to get him to go back to school. Summer was for planning, after all, and recruitment. But one man could only do so much before he had to take a break, and if he was still being productive... He cleared his throat, shaking his head. "Apologies, but yes, it's certainly...something. And everyone seems to be enjoying themselves, so..."

Casablanca nodded. That made sense--it was sort of a two-for-one type of situation, really. A little relaxation, a little actual effort as a Knight, get all of it done at once.
And it was a lovely night in a lovely park in a city that was, for all its dangers, a pretty nice place a lot of the time.
"Yeah, I don't see anything too nefarious going on," she said, "which means that we can maybe take a walk in the park. Stick together a little, you know?"
It seemed like a good enough idea to her, and Shoqafa was her friend. Might as well hang out together.
