Research || Ashe genuinely, actually loves research. They are That Nerd who ends up on long late night ProQuest dives, consuming as many sources as possible on whatever topic they're interested in. The really good articles get printed out and added to a binder to mark up and comment on later. They buy published books in their field and in ones that interest them, actively subscribes to academic journals, and genuinely just love scholarship all around.
Astronomy || Ashe loves the stars, and it's one of his favorite things to learn about. There's so very, very much to learn, too--new discoveries all the time, new phenomena we can't quite explain. Space is super awesome, and Ashe absolutely loves everything about it.
YouTube || Ashe runs a YouTube channel as a side hobby, primarily devoted to talking about the folklore connections in video games. He's mostly a casual player, but he does love talking about the mythical and folkloric influences on story, monsters, and everything else, particularly in fantasy RPGs.
Virtues:
Passionate || Once Ashe cares, they care. They chase things they love with eagerness and excitement, they're happy to talk about their passions, they love to learn and share and generally indulge. Sure, it takes a bit of effort to get them to care, but once they do, their whole heart is in whatever it is.
Curious || Ashe is always chasing answers and looking to learn more. They always want to listen to new perspectives, gather as much information as possible, and generally learn as much as they can, whenever they can. The more you know, right?
Skeptical || Ashe never takes anything at face value. They're not usually rude about it, but they do always want to make sure they have as much information as possible before accepting something as truth. They're not easy to fool, they don't rush to judgment, and they do their best to consider all options before making a decision. Basically: Ashe is a facts-first sort of person.
Flaws:
Ice Prince || Ashe is, for the most part, cold, unapproachable, and academic. He keeps himself a step removed, emotionally, from most people, tends not to be showy about feelings, and generally gives the impression that he absolutely does not care. Even when he really, really, really does.
Cryptic || Ashe can very much be professionally full of s**t. He hates answering questions directly unless it's necessary, delights in frustrating people, and is generally a huge pain in the a** whenever given the opportunity. While he doesn't usually do this with students, he's happy to play Irritating Cryptic Socrates with anyone who will play along. Especially people who get frustrated.
Mistrustful || No, Ashe does not believe anything at first glance. This means that it's a struggle to get him to open up and trust people, even in the smallest capacity. He doesn't believe things until he sees them, especially when it comes to putting faith in other people.
