Quote: The Fireflies (6) : In the warm summer nights, little glowing lights begin to bob and dart through the city. Fireflies are mating, so this isn't uncommon in itself; in the past few days you've probably seen hundreds of fireflies. What makes these lights so unique is that they seem to change color; you might see a blue one, a green one, a red one. They flicker randomly, and something just seems off with them. If you come into contact with one, you will find yourself with a strange electric jolt. They cannot be caught, and will flicker away if you pursue too aggressively. This isn’t the first time they’ve appeared in Destiny City, but no one’s been able to tell where they came from or where they’re going. No matter how quickly you chase them, they always seem to disappear before you can find any answers. Necro had been out and about trying to do some form of patrolling and making sure everything was alright. Key word had been, trying. Now, he was instead watching as they just flittered and floated about. He wondered, vaguely, what it was making them change color like that, but decided quickly that he probably didn't want to know. The fireflies, strange as they might be, had been a nice distraction from the insane summer heat. Even if the nights were a bit cooler, they were still hot as hell. He had to admit, he had tried to catch a few, to no avail. He'd either lost track of their light or he had just been to slow.

The heat was making Celadonite happy. Stupidly happy. It was the most delightful feeling. He moved through the warm night swiftly, stalking the weaker order aura with a grin, excited to get a starseed. Because that would be the perfect end to such a beautiful night.
Of course, when he saw the purple clad hairy page before him, he had to sneer. “Ah. The one with absolutely no fashion sense. It’s good to see that you haven’t gotten any wiser, but…at the same time it’s such a shame that you haven’t gotten any wiser.”
His hands curled, his long black nails glinting and the sales on his face doing the same.
There were soft glowing lights of all colors around him, and the very sight made Celadonite pause, looking around for a moment. “...Strange Lightning Bugs. No matter. I’ll kill you tonight, ugly.”

Oh.
Oh, he knew that voice. He'd only met the guy once, but it was hard to forget that tone. "Celadonite." He sighed, turning to face the other. "Did you ever stop sneee- Oh my god." He exclaimed upon seeing the other man. "What happened" Well it was obvious what had happened.
The man was now part youma.
Wait
"...So does that mean you guys aren't involved with this?" Well then… That was one source eliminated. "You said that last time, and then smacked yourself in the face with your own weapon." Which seemed to have healed up with no issue… Though that might have something to do with fusing with a youma..
Necro shrugged lightly. "Not that it's any of my business but might I suggest stopping here? Being a full youma does not have its upsides. Believe me." He wondered, vaguely id he'd even been a half youma, or always a full.
Anyway….
"Am I allowed to ask why, or should we just skip to the back and forth banter?"

The reaction from the shorter, fluffy haired, badly dressed Page made Celadonite rather…offended. “What do you mean what happened? I made a choice and I enjoy it. I’m someone that can actually be around my.” He pursed his lips and shrugged. “My favorite boyfriend now. I can touch him when nobody else can and in doing so all I had to give up was my humanity. It was worth the trade, I feel. I don’t intended to go any further but…”
He smiled suddenly, fangs glinting in the soft blue light from one of the bugs. “But I’m happy where I am now. As for the bugs. No, they aren’t anything to do with my gang but. Maybe they do and I just don’t know it yet. Obviously I’m still working my way up the ranks. While.”
Celadonite gave a laugh that was just this side of mocking. “I see you aren’t bothering to. Seriously, come with me and you’ll get better clothes and support and will just be better off. I won’t let you become a youma. Promise.”

Necro rolled his eyes and drew in a breath. "You know damn well what I mean..." The Page sighed, rubbing at his temple. "I get you made a choice, and see that. But like, are you okay. You're not hurt or nothing?" How hard was that to understand? The Page waved a hand dismissively as he circled the Captain, checking for... well he wasn't sure. Injuries? "Eh. Humanity. Let's be real, sometimes ditching it is worth it. As long as your happy, I guess." He shrugged. "You do you. But seriously, I don't recommend going full. Hurts like a b***h... On multiple levels. Plus, I can't really see you being the whole... summonable pet thing." He came to a stop in front of the Captain, seemingly happy with whatever he was looking for. "Again, as long as your happy. All I care about really. So, what did you merge with?" Necromanteion rolled his eyes, turning his attention to a bug that was flickering just out of reach. "You wouldn't tell anyway, I don't know why I bothered asking anyway." Well, he'd done stupider things before. The Page laughed when the Captain brought up rank. "And deny you the pleasure of making fun of my uniform? Why sir, I would never. I'll get there eventually. Who knows, maybe I'll hit Squire and my outfit will be something you like. What would you do then, huh? I can't just summon this outfit back once I climb the ranks." ... Could he? Finally he sighed again, letting his shoulders sag. "You can't promise that and we both know that." He said quietly. "Had you found me ages ago, and told me you could reverse it without having to go through what I did? Maybe. Hell. I would have taken being a half youma over what I was." Necro shook his head, sending his shaggy hair waving back and forth over his shoulders. "...I have people I can't leave. They don't want... I don't want that life for them." Not again. Never again. "You could always come with me." He said, sporting a cheeky grin in an attempt to hide the pain. "Be a Squire and show me how to really wear the outfit." Not that Necro was in any more of a position to ask that as Cela had been. Cela had someone he didn't want to leave just as much as he did.

“I didn’t merge with anyone. I just ate a bunch of starseeds in the office of another half youma General and she monitored my condition. I know that I’m not tough enough to go through the whole merging route but. Eh. It wasn’t hard.”
Not that Celadonite would tell him if it was. Not that he would mention how much it hurt to change, and how the cold of Amazonite made him feel as though he were utterly dying. How he felt his heart slowing, his breath stopping…
Swiftly, he shook his head and rubbed the bridge of his nose.
“I can’t come with you. You’re on the wrong side, and I utterly refuse to leave my boyfriend, sorry puppy. But, you…” He sighed softly and reached over, flicking Necro’s forehead lightly. “You could come back to us. I swear I wouldn’t let you turn into a youma again. I would never let that happen. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. And I’d be a damn good Captain for you.”

Necro blinked. "Ah... Right. I forget that you can do that by eating to many..." Necro waved a hand vaguely. "I just kinda... poofed into existence. I know that's not how that works, but I don't remember the event. Hell I don't even remember being human prior to that." Another shrug as he watched another firefly flit between them. Again he sighed, crossing his arms. "Everyone's on the wrong side of something." He shot back, almost bitterly. "Your boyfriend coulda come too, ya know. I wouldn't have stopped either of you. You know me, just wanna help." Why, was any ones guess. Necro's gaze followed Cela's fingers, snorting lightly at the flick. "Promises, promises..." He muttered, watching as the Captain crept into his personal space. "Oh, I don't doubt you'd be a good Captain, Scales. He'll. I'm sure you'll be quite the thorn in my side as a General. I just... can't. You understand." Did he? Did either of them. He fell quiet for a moment, before glancing over at the Captain. "I know you full well have the power to just ignore this but... No getting handsy on the second date. Starseed frisking is strickly third date motive."

“Nah. He won’t go. He’s stubborn and angry but.” Celadonite gave a happy, amused sigh. “He’s mine. Or. Ours. He’s with most if not all of the boys he cares for but. I’m not going to brag that I’m the one he likes the best, even if it’s not true, it’s true in my mind so it counts.”
The captain waggled his eyebrows and seemed pleased that the Page wasn’t moving away, wasn’t really doing anything to try to stop him. The very fact that he was still listening meant that there was some kind of a chance. “Can I get handsy without frisking your starseed? There are better things to get frisky with. Your luxurious hair for one thing. It’s lovely and I know you’re aware of that. You should get it cut though. Your split ends are…kind of awful.”
He hummed at the idea that Necro didn’t remember being human, just a youma and now a stupid knight. “You know. I don’t get to be human for very long anymore so I do understand that but. I’d be human with you if I could. And I know our group would love you. You seem very easy to adore. Just saying.”

"Ah. That sucks." Necro said flatly. "That he's angry, I mean. Wish there was a way to fix that." The Page raised a curious brow. "Should I ask how many of you there are oooor should we just let my imagination run wild, for the sake of mystery."
Necro was sure his eyes were gonna roll out of his head tonight, with how often they'd rolled. "I'm going to choose to not answer that Scales." Well, the first part anyway. He snorted quietly, reaching up to pull a strand of his hair over his shoulder. "Luxurious my a**. You know how hot this s**t is? It was just as puffy and frizzy like this when I was a youma." He twirled the strand around his finger. "I've been thinking about getting it cut." He just wasn't sure how much or where to start."
"We can't be human with each other. Not if we're on opposite sides." Not now. Maybe not ever. "Who says I'd share with a group. One or two people sure. But a giant group? Hmm. I dunno about that one Scales. Sides, no saying your boyfriend would like me anyway. No sayin I'd like him. What would you do then?"

“It could be luxurious if you treated it right! Seriously man. Go to a salon and let them cut away the dead parts. Then get yourself some really good shampoo and treat your poor hair like it deserves. There’s a handsome ******** in there somewhere. And he deserves to be out.” Celadonite huffed and reached for the Page’s head, beginning to finger comb it with annoyed ferver. “There’s a lot of us. You wouldn't have to be shared with anyone if you didn’t want to. If you just wanted me, you’d have me. We have a house and we could be happy there. It’s not in the rift so, you wouldn’t have to worry about that.”
There was a small bit of hope beginning to uncurl in Celadonite’s heart as he realized that…oh s**t. No he really did want to convince this stupid…trashy page to come back where he belonged.
Terribly so.
“I’d just keep you safe. I won’t break things off with my General, so please don’t ask that of me, but I’d give you all of my human time for stupid dates and I’d make sure you looked good. Always.”

Necro chuckled lightly. "It's not myfault it came out like this. It's not like I knew how I was going to look!" He grinned again at Cela's fretting. "Aw. He thinks I'm pretty. Should you be fraternizing with the enemy, Captain Scales??" Oh my god if this guy didn't slap him...
"But fine, where should I cut it? I'm not going to cut it all, but I am willing to take... suggestions." Necro quieted down, letting Celadonite fuss with his hair. "I have a house... Or rather, the people I'm with have one. I could say the same about us." Necro shrugged one shoulder, trying not to jostle his hair too much. "I never minded the rift... But maybe that's just cause I spent so much time in there."
Necro brought a hand up, catching Cela's wrist as if sensing the other man's distress. "Celadonite. Listen to me. All jokes aside, I'm not going to ask you to break things off. You shouldn't have choose. I'm not going to put you in that position. You're happy. I know that. I don't want to take that from you. I don't want to take that from anyone. And I wouldn't want to monopolize the time you had as a human. That's not fair to you. Yes, it sucks. But what can we do Cela. There's nothing we can do that doesn't hurt one of us and the people we care about." The Page sighed again. "A couple months ago you were threatening to kill me. Now look at us."

“Cut it to just past your shoulders. The split ends are pretty bad. If you're trying to get it to one length that’s going to be the best option, but if you want it to be layered…let the stylist do her thing in that respect.”
He hesitated, and looked down at Necro with a slight frown. “You wouldn’t be taking anything from me. You’d simply be coming home to where you belong. You started out in chaos, and you belong with us, Necro. I can’t imagine anyone leaving and staying gone for too terribly long. You’ll come home. And you’ll have a home to come to.”
Celadonite snorted and twisted his wrist so that his palm was against Necro’s, curling their fingers together. “A few months ago it was cold, and you were a little b***h. But now it’s warm, I’m warm, and I want you to be my little b***h. The last one I found got brought in, but he’s my Generals and not mine. You…you would be mine. I’d see to that.”

Necro glanced at the hair hanging over his shoulder, contemplating. "Honestly, cutting only half off is less then I thought you would say." He'd be lying if Necro hadn't expected Cela to say above his shoulders.
"I started as a human. We don't know if I was Order or Chaos, let alone powered up to begin with." He murmured, tossing a strand of hair over his shoulder. "I am home Cel. I've got people who care about me. Who saw me as more then just a youma... And a pathetic one at that." He couldn't even do that job right. It had been a miracle that he hadn't been permanently dusted back then.
Necro shot a curious glance at their hands but didn't question it. "Pft. You still think think I'm a little b***h." He murmured, pulling his gaze from their hands to level the Captain with a look. "It's cute you think you wouldn't be the little b***h." That cocky little grin was back. "I'd see to that."

“You’d have to get stronger than I am to have me be your little b***h, but…” He chuckled. “I’d be happy to give you that chance if you came back.” He hesitated and released Necro’s hand, sighing softly. “Just think about it. I know that you think you’re happy now, but maybe you could be happier than you are now so. Just think about it.”
Celadonite gave a soft sigh and shrugged. “I’d be happy to give you time but. I really do want you to think about it. I’d care more about you than they do. I’m sure.”
His eyes followed one of the fireflies for a moment and he shook his head. “Be safe. Don’t do anything stupid, okay? I expect to see you again soon with your hair looking better and hopefully better looking clothes. If you’re not, I’m going to simply drag you to someone who will bring you to our side no matter if you want it or not. So. There.”

Necromanteion scoffed. "You don't know all my tricks, Scales. I could surprise you. Even as a Page." The Page let his hand fall, shoving them into the pockets of his coat. "I could say the same about you. You could be happier too, but-" He wasn't suppose to be making him choose.
"You don't know them, Cela. Hell, you barely know me. All you care about is that I was, at one point, part of Chaos." And in turn Necro knew nothing about him, other then the fact it seemed Celadonite wasn't as keen to murder him anymore.
Necro gave Cela a weary smile. "I dunno. You wouldn't count...." He waved a hand between the two of them. "Does this count as stupid? Whatever this is." His shoulders sagged again, before forcing a smile. "No promises, but I have a funny feeling, trouble or not, you'll be there to give me an earful for it." Necro shook his head slightly. "You're not gonna drag me nowhere. You don't wanna see me hurt anymore then I-" He stumbled over his words. "Anymore then I wanna see you get hurt."
"Go home, Celadonite. I'm sure we'll see each other again." He reached up to pat Cela's cheek. One last pain in the a** move. "You better be safe too." He gently ran his thumb over the scales on Cela's face. "If I start finding these around the city, I'ma be pissed." He gave Cela a small smile, honest this time. "It's a good look. On you, anyway."
