Disappearances (14) : People are missing. Maybe they’re people you know, maybe you’ve just heard about it on the news. They’re just disappearing. In front of you one second, gone the next, sucked into some between-space. Into some hole that flickers out of sight once it’s swallowed them up. Maybe you got sucked in–right into a strange strange black expanse, with no access to anyone else or any exits. The pull would have been magnetic, almost unavoidable. Some might escape, but maybe you didn’t. Electronics don't work and characters cannot power down. There’s no way to reach the outside world. You might feel the sensation of creatures following you, you might run into obstacles or strange environments in the darkness. While you are in this strange location you may feel hungry but will not starve to death; you may feel tired but you will not need to sleep. Maybe you were lucky and got sucked in with someone. Maybe you’re trapped there and run into someone and team up. One thing is for sure, though–once you’re here, you can’t get out on your own. Characters who get sucked into the strange between-space will not be able to participate in the ORP immediately but will have an opportunity to join partway through so if this is something you’re interested in, please keep your eye on that! It wasn't uncommong for them to go out goether, as a family, and patrol the city. It wasn't just because they were family but they also knew they had reliable back up and support. Two of them being transcended knights was a sure bet that their nights out together were safe and mostly unbothered.
Tonight as they rounded a corner Venice was looking to his cousins as he spoke, they'd been having a conversation about the odd occurances taking place this summer. "I've heard of people vanishing, people described it as seeing a black hole open up and take the person." Something he would have, before coming to this city and becoming a knight, never believed scientifically possible. This city however was filled with magic and that seemed to destroy all the rules.
"We should keep an eye out and perhaps make sure friends and family are safe." Check in with those they knew to assure they were safe. "I don't know if staying home would help." Or if these black holes, or whatever they were, might get them while they were in their own homes. It was, he figured, entierly possible.
"Sometimes I wonder if this city is really safe for the twins or if Korea would have been safer." Or anywhere but here really.

Family patrols were something that Erebus looked forward to, though if he was completely honest they were of course second to then it was just him and Venice but that was more to him just loving to spend one on one time with his husband. But it was always nice to know that the group of five would be more then enough to take on any normal, non big group of chaos, that could happen during said patrols.
Currently he had one hand threaded with one of Venice's as they discussed, on the side away from the cousin duo while Siwa was on his other side. "Well from the description, it doesn't seem like it is likely to be something from the Mirror Senshi unless it's one with a new power." He added into the conversation. "It's more likely something to do with either the Dark Kingdom or something with the city." He was leaning more to city strange phenomenon instead of Negaverse though just due to the festival. Something strange always tended to happen around holidays.
At Venice's admission he lightly squeezed his hand in support. "Unfortunately with how the world currently is, we can't take them anywhere else. It's dangerous no matter what." Even taking out normal civilian crimes out of the picture, the Negaverse had a hard grip on the entire world and it had been hard enough for one year in South Korea. He had to take regular trips back to the city just so he could safely power up and visit his Wonder without getting found out.

Gyeongju would be the first to admit that he felt a lot safer when they were on family patrol instead of him just being on his own. Even though it had been years since he had first awakened, he was still just a Page with a small dojang for a weapon. It never stopped him of course, rather he was more likely to push himself out there even more because of it.
However right now he wasn't thinking about those sorts of things, focusing on the discussion going on as well as the world around them for anything out of the ordinary. "Agreed. It would probably be a good idea to check in with everyone at least once a day if not more." He said from where he walked at the far end, their female cousin between him and Venice. "Have those who know about magic report anything they hear or see while those who don't we could could up with a reason why we are talking to them more often." He offered up.

Siwa walked along with the others, taking up a far side like a book end as he kept his eyes on their surroundings but also listened to the share of information. "Sounds like a good idea. Mom and Dad already know something is up from the rumors they heard anyway and both are more then willing to babysit the twin's for any patrols you both take until this is either disproven or proven and hopefully fixed." He shot Erebus and Venice a sympathetic look. While he didn't have kids of his own, he could completely understand just how much the duo was worrying over his nephew's safety. He was rather worried himself for them as well as his little league soccer players. It's one thing if an adult gets into a dangerous situation and something entirely different for kids.
"We could add more patrols at various times in hopes that something will turn up, as well as get any information shared by other Knights, Senshi, and Mauvians. Maybe between all of us we can solve this issue."

"Especially for you two it would be near impossible to leave the city for long." The lone female in the group chime din from where she walked at her eldest cousins side. She was the only senshi in the group and it was somewhat amusing, like being the princess surroudned by knights. The times out with her family was enjoyable, though she did love spending nights out on patrol with a certain other senshi, she was considering getting him to join the group for a patrol one night...though she wasn't entierly sure how that would go. It would eventually happen - she was sure of it.
"Mmm, it wouldn't be hard to explain why we're talking to them more. Even though someone isn't powered up everyone seems to know how odd, and dangerous, this city is. They just don't know why...or exactly how dangerous the city is." But everyone had a clue...so it wouldn't be too hard to check in with everyone - right?
"I only know one other senshi...but I could talk to him and find out if he knows anything." She had been dating him for a while now but she didn't talk about him much, it was so akward being the only female and trying to talk to her cousins about such a thing. But she did love her cousins, especially Seung, it was just that one topic which suddenly came up and proved to be hard to talk about. She'd never thought she'd find a topic hard to discuss with Seung, he'd been there for so much...been there for her on her worst days.....the worst night ever - he'd been there. But she was still young and a female and he was still her older, and protective, cousin.
"More patrols would be a good idea, until this ends, but I don't think we know enough people to talk to and ask about this." He might have a knight ring but he knew no one else really. he'd met others in passing, there had even been the attempt at a group of Ganymede knights, but things had fallen apart and he knew where no one else was from that group.
"We will have to do our best on our own, as we always do." As they always had done...they had no other choice really. He wasn't sure at this point if he wanted to work with other knights, the first attempt had impacted him in some ways. It had failed and things had gone poorly...
The only other knight he would work with was his boss, who had been out of the country for some time now. "Quinn would be the only knight we could work with but he's been out of the country with work." So he wouldn't know anything and Seung didn't want to drag the other into this whole mess, though Quinn knew what this city was like.

Erebus nodded at the Senshi in agreement. He was glad to be even more connected to his Wonder and the added bonus of being able to help give other's energy as needed but it had certainly been one of the things that had hit him hard while Seung had been in the required military service. It wasn't something he would be willing to put his husband and himself through again any time soon.

"I agree, anyone who has lived here in the city for any stretch of time can see just how dangerous it is." Gyeongju said, fiddling with dojang for a minute before dismissing it once again into it's subspace. "I doubt think we would really have to explain much if anything for this. If anything it wouldn't surprise me if some would end up taking it as a sign to reach out even more regularly even after the festival and the current rumors is over."
"Oh? Any Senshi we would know the name of?" He wasn't teasing, his tone just showing he was happy for her to have Senshi connections even if it's just one she was talking about. The brunette had wondered from time to time if the lone female of the group had any negative feelings about being the only Senshi. It didn't even occur to him that said Senshi she was mentioning was more then just a friend at the moment.

"It's times like these where it really hits home that our group isn't the best as socializing regularly outside of it's circle most of the time" Siwa chimed in with a sigh. And he every much wasn't excluding himself in this seeing how he was just as bad if not more so in actively seeking out other Order members to socialize. "Still, either way we could ask if we do end up coming across anyone while on patrol." It did happen, though not often for himself as even with all the powered in the city, it was still al large sprawling city and everyone had different sections they tended to patrol more and of course different times they went out.

"No, I don't think you know the senshi I'm thinking of." She said, trying to keep her tone as even and calm as possible. She didn't want her cousins to know yet, she wasn't sure how they'd respond. She was sure they'd both be happy for her but she also kenw they'd want to meet him and know why she'd never said anything before, and that was had to explain really. Maybe, in some way, it felt like something she should first share with her parents and she couldn't - there was simply no way to do so. She wasn't even in much contact with her aunt and uncle since they'd kicked Seung out for his relationship withTerry. She had stuck with her older cousin because he'd always been there for her, especially on that night.
Mayhbe she would tell them soon though, she really should, she didn't like keeping such a secret from them all...but she just wished....
"No, we don't, but can you blame us? We at least have a large group. Most don't seem to socalize at all and go at it solo or in groups of two maybe." Not that she knew for sure, she had no way to know for sure, but it did seem ratehr disorganized to her. "At least we have enough of us to help each other." And to protect each others back if it was needed. "I wish we were more organized...knights and senshi. It feels like we're alone in this whole thing...and we only see others when something big happens."
"Mmm, this city is a nightmare when it comes to how dangerous it is. I'm surprised word hasn't gotten out past this city and stopped new people from moving into this city." People like his own family and others, it was a wonder really. He'd been grocery shopping, at one of the asian markets, two weeks back and a family he'd run into had just moved here from Japan. He'd been surprised but had, without hinting to anything, wished them good luck in the city and good health. They might just need it.
"So if we run into anyone we'll ask, depending on who we run into we'll word things accordingly. But even civilians may know things." Since this city was so dangerous even for them.
Looking to his brother in law he shook his head. "I'm not upset that we don't socalize. You get close to someone and than they change sides...or go missing. No, I'm not bothered by it." He had decided that he liked it, liked keeping it to those close knit group of family members. Maybe Siwa would start dating or his cousins would and their group would expand a little bit. But it would still all be family.

Erebus lifted his husbands hand and placed a kiss on it, just listening to the conversations for the moment.

He made a mental note to ask about the Senshi more later, just curious about his cousin's new friend. "It would be nice if it was better organized, but there has been some who have tried to bring us all together in the past and it just doesn't seem to work." Gyeongju sighed. Although even those tended to happen around whenever something big happened so he wasn't sure if that had any effect on that.
It ended up reminding him about his group mates and how much he missed being able to hangout with them. Gyeongu wasn't sure if at the moment he was glad that they weren't here in the city since it was safer that way or if he wished more that they were here so he could spend time with them like he used to. It had been hard to go from being surrounded by them pretty much at all times to suddenly only being able to talk to them over internet or phone calls.

Siwa nodded in understanding, he hadn't gotten close to anyone that had done either of those things but he had heard about friends of his brother and brother-in-law doing so. "Well you aren't wrong there." It happens enough that Siwa sometimes wondered if it would even be worth looking for dates, though seeing what his little brother and his husband had always made him think it was worth it if you found the right person.
"You know, from what I hear us four Knights could technically form a brigade together." Siwa said after a moment of thought. "Though that still leaves out Hamal huh?" A regular Team works for them though when talking about the five together seeing hoe a Brigade was only for Knights but a Team could be any one of the Order types. "Maybe something to look into later if we really want to." He gave a shrug and looked around them at the different buildings. As distracting as the discussions were, he was still trying to be alert to the possibility of something happening. How well he was doing so could only be answered if something did indeed happen. To be fair, he was mostly expecting a youma or a chaos powered to be the problem and that wasn't what ended up being the case.

While they were talking, a small spark of something appeared in front of them, only to grow quickly just as they reached it, forming a black hole like portal that ended up pulling Erebus and Venice right in only to disappear as soon as they vanished/
