The Caves (5) : To any explorers visiting the new Reservoir, they may find that just a bit away from the sandy water are a set of caves. Some of these connect back to the lake, but others rapidly plunge into darkness. It wouldn't be hard to get lost in here, but thankfully there are some very odd lights to help guide you out. If you turn off your light down some of these dark paths, you may find yourself surrounded by glowing pastel lights. A closer inspection reveals that you seem to be looking at some sort of glowing caterpillars. An internet search will reveal that Destiny City scientists have been researching the strange, unnamed creatures, but the articles are very limited. If you take them out of the cave they seem to shrivel up almost immediately. They’re neat, but clearly meant to be stay in their natural habitat.

Morpheus has spent a while chatting with the other dark mirror at the reservoir but it was still very hot, so he decided to go walk down by the water to see if it was cooler. He soon found a cave and decided to go in and explore to get out of the heat of the day. He soon found himself lost. He sighed it just had not been his day. Strange mirror happens, strange talks with other dark mirror court members. Now he was lost in a cave. It just figured with his luck as of late. He could only hope he could find his way out.

A year. Asphodel had been back in this godforsaken town for a whole-a** year. When the Star Festival advertisements began popping up all over Destiny City, the realization yanked his soul out of his body and left it drifting uneasily above his head. He'd gotten used to living here again. He'd already accepted that this local event would be part of his yearly routine indefinitely.
Did that mean he liked it here? No, of course not.
But it did mean it was time to check the reservoir again.
This time, he immediately felt something that made a cold rage prickle up his spine and hackle up his jaw. With fingers itching to use his weapon, he stepped into the caves and threaded his footsteps through them for ten minutes until his target finally reached his eyesight.
"You don't ******** belong here," he growled. The Knight didn't hesitate at all -- he dashed in and swung his spade at the senshi immediately.

Morpheus cocked his eyebrow at the rude arrogant figure "Is this your cave?" He wasn't going to stay in a big fight with the knight if he was outmatched but he would defend himself if he had to. He blew his cinders at the knight and waited to see how they would be affected by the magic. He found it interesting the effect it had on everyone. He stood at the ready to follow up the attack with a punch or kick. He didn't intend to lose to this ride knight if he was able to win the battle. "Well now, are you sure you want to fight this battle, you know considering I was just lost in a cave and not hurting anyone?"
Morpheus didn't even have his wraith with him currently so he certainly wasn't stealing energy from humans so why was he in trouble? That he didn't know at all. Then again order members didn't seem to need a reason to attack someone if they thought they were right and everyone else was wrong which he had noted was all of the time. They were the name all, be all of who was right and who was wrong.

"Bullshit, you hurt people just by existing. You and your whole sham Court," Asphodel spat. "You don't have the right to play innocent."
The dust filled his lungs, and Morpheus became a twisting, shifting array of familiar faces. The rocky, irregular surfaces of the cave became the grimy concrete walls and floors of a warehouse he had been trapped in years ago. His uniform turned dark. Somehow, he was standing; chains broken and scattered to the floor. All he had to do was take out this b*****d senshi and he could escape from this hellhole.
His spade was still gripped firmly in his hands, and he charged at Morpheus with it again.

Morpheus rolled his eyes "Judgey much? Who pissed in your cornflakes why are you so angry?" He asked and then said "I hardly think dark mirror members hurt anything, without a wraith how would I do anything? Do you know a single thing about the dark court? Or are you just assuming we are like the negaverse?" He was betting his last dollar that this guy had no clue what his people were like and what they believed in. What they were trying to achieve. He had only recently learned that they didn't want to fight anyone they wanted to be left alone. Which spoke to him a great deal. He blew his cinders at them to distract them so he could get away from this situation.
Morpheus' Cinders Range: 6~-8', dependent on wind conditions Duration: 30 seconds Use Count: Useable 3x without energy replenishment. Miss Chance: Morpheus' attack can miss based on wind blowing the dust in the wrong direction, a character jumping out of the way, or shutting their eyes / shielding the face. Effect: Morpheus can either wipe his forehead or touch the dust-laden ribbon of his uniform to summon a handful of soot. He then throws it toward the target (hence the variability on range), and if it strikes them in the eyes or face, the attack will take hold. It does not sting the eyes as one would expect of soot. From then on, the afflicted character will interpret the world with blended elements of stream of consciousness / dreaming. These elements are entirely up to the player - for example, they may see someone's face taper into a trombone, or watch a battle taking place upon a lake that's dripping upward onto the clouds, or that Destiny City has become a sphere encasing the entire battle, and looking upward reveals the rooftops of buildings on the other side. Any blended elements are free reign here - sights, sounds, tastes, feelings, and smells are all viably manipulable components in Morpheus' attack.
However, this magic can only augment parts of people - it cannot change the whole.

"Yes," hissed the Knight, "I am. Because," he jaggedly dodged the second magical assault, "You are. I was there when your Court was born, senshi." The word senshi was spat like an insult, like a rotten piece of food mistakenly bitten. At the same time, the first cloud of cinders still made the cave walls melt.
Having no luck with the spade in the awkward narrow quarters, Asphodel decided to attempt grabbing his opponent by the brooch and slamming him into the wall instead.

Morpheus was in a lousy situation yet again as he was slammed against the wall. "Then tell me what the mirror court means!!" He yelled in the guy's face. "I was told the dark court just wants to be left alone, how is that bad?? I just want to make my mirror space safe for birds!!" He growled in the guy's face. He saw nothing wrong with what his court was trying to do. If that wasn't true everything he had ever been told would be a lie. Everything he had gone through would have been for nothing. He wasn't sure he could live with that. It would be far beyond surreality if he found out that nothing he had ever known was true.

Asphodel blinked slowly, and the pressure of his arm against the senshi's chest didn't cease. "Well," he admitted, "I wasn't literally there, but I saw the before and after." A touch of venom seeped into his flaring eyes. "Do you know Princess Ares? Do you know what she's done? Have you even heard of the Blood Moon Court?"
His voice was a low, rounded alto, rolling over dry gravel. It quickly sharpened with barely-restrained hatred when it named the Dark Mirror Court's founder.
"If you haven't, you should ask why." The Knight yanked Morpheus away from the wall, away from himself, and shook his gloved hand with disgust as if it had just touched rotting flesh. "I don't know what you people are taught, but lies of fabrication are propped up by lies of omission. Your whole Court was founded by senshi who think it's acceptable to torture people."

He shook his head if he had he didn't remember and then he said "No that is not what we are told, I was told we only want to revive our world and live in peace." He had no reason to believe he was being lied to till this senshi was telling him this. "What proof do either faction have?" He asked waiting to see if he was getting a pounding or would be set free.

Asphodel's furious answer echoed through the cave walls.
"I was tied to a chair for weeks." His voice was strained, bitter. "Beaten, starved and mocked. Never enough water. I got sick and they didn't care. They were White Moon senshi back then. Then, after I was rescued, they reappeared with uniforms like yours." His eyes rolled downward to meet Morpheus's gaze. "So tell me, senshi, if your Court is so harmless and peaceful, why did the Chaos behind it choose a leader guilty of war crimes?"

Morpheus frowned as he listened to the senshi speak. He struggled to believe his court would do such a thing. His court was based in blood. He couldn't really fight it since they were chaos and not order. So there must have been something that had caused that. "Are you going to let me go or pound me into dust?" He frowned he had a lot to think about and a decision to make and he couldn't do that held by a senshi forever.

Morpheus didn't argue he didn't think the knight owned the space but it wasn't worth fighting for he had to figure out what was worth fighting for and who was right and who was wrong.
