It was a beautiful summer night, and Mirzam was perched on a roof, grinning. She'd asked Helena to meet her, and around her finger, she twirled her gift to her precious girl; a delicate little bangle, made of silver, inlaid with Rift crystal.
It had, truly, been a labor of love. And, she had noticed, since she finished it, her magic was no longer unstable and fickle. She'd tested it a few times, to be sure; it was all properly oriented.
Good. She was tired of hiding that particular flaw.
She waited, humming to herself. Helena would like it, she was sure.

Helena always enjoyed meeting Mirzam. She would meet her anywhere, and idly wondered if she could compose some kind of strange…slightly uncomfortable poem about all of the ways she enjoyed the other Corrupt. A distorted Dr Seuss book or something along those lines.
…A naughty book for sure but.
A book she knew that her darling mistress would enjoy reading. Especially if they read it together.
She teleported to where Mirzam had instructed and moved right into her lap, making herself quite comfortable and greeting her lover with a kiss. “I’m here.” Obviously.
“It’s been far too long since I’ve seen you. Where have you been and why was I kept waiting?” Helena put on a pout, looping her arms around Mirzam’s neck. “Don’t you love me anymore, Mistress?”

As soon as Helena arrived, Mirzam's mood improved yet more. Of course her sweet girl always came when she was called, but there was still something very nice about how quickly she came. She returned the kiss with cheer, and nuzzled briefly at Helena's cheek, slinging an arm aro0und her waist and pulling her close.
"Oh, sweet girl, no, I would never stop loving you." As if that could ever be a real worry! Hah.
She held up the bracelet, showing off her matching one with a smile.
"I was working on a gift for you. A matched set," she smiled, and gently disentangled one of Helena's arms from around her neck so she could slip it onto her wrists. "So that we can always teleport to each other, if we need to."

Her eyes lit up and she relaxed with the kiss, nuzzling close and laughing in utter delight. “A gift for me? Oh, Mirzam I love that!”
Helena looked at the bracelet with such a fond expression. “Oh! I love the idea of us being able to find each other no matter what…that’s so terribly romantic!”
Her eyes were shining and she kissed Helena once again, nuzzling close. “You made these for us? Seriously? That’s amazing! You are without a doubt the most amazing person in the whole world, and I hope you know that.”
It was the truth, the absolute truth. The bracelet was so lovely and…she felt so fantastically loved because of it. “What can I give you in return…?”

Mirzam sighed happily, bringing Helena's hand over to her lips to kiss the back of it. "I'm glad you're happy, sweet girl. I worked very hard to make these. One of the cats helped me, to make sure the magic worked."
It really did look excellent on Helena's wrist. More in line with her colors than Mirzam's, but that was a sacrifice Mirzam was willing to make. Some things had to give every once in a while for her sweet girl, if that kept her there.
"And darling, you don't have to give me anything. You've already given me so much, just by coming to join me here. And since you're at my side now, I want to make certain I can protect you! So just...if you're ever in danger, come right to me, yes? Promise you'll do that."
And she would be dropping in on Helena, fairly frequently--it was simply far too much to risk some idiot on the other side undoing all her work and taking her sweet girl away. Like they'd taken her brother.
It could not happen again.

“I wouldn’t change a thing you know. Joining you was the best decision of my life, and I regret nothing. You are my world…my night and my day.” Helena snuggled against the other corrupt, pleased with how wonderful she always felt with her Mirzam. She had no memories other than ones that involved the other corrupt but…it didn’t matter. Mirzam was her entire life, and if she ever knew that her Mistress had any doubts about her…even ones that were remote, she would have laughed.
“I’ll always come right to you when I’m in danger. And when I’m lonely. And when I miss you. And when I’m just thinking of you. I’ll always come when you tell me to.” Her eyes flashed and Helena gave a small, sly smile. “But I know you already know that. I’ve made the best decisions of my life because of you. I am who I am because of you, and I wouldn’t give that up for the entire world, Mistress. You know that. Especially since you are my entire world.”

"Good, good," Mirzam purred. It was so good to hear those reassurances from Helena--to know that at least for now, she had no intention of going anywhere else. And this was where she belonged, in Mirzam's arms, in her lap...wherever Mirzam wanted her, as far as Mirzam was concerned.
"Ah, sweet girl, when you say things like that, it makes me want to carry you right home," she purred. At home, no one could interrupt them. "You know you're the most important thing to me, too, yes?" Her lips pressed to Helena's forehead. "Nothing else matters tome nearly as much as you do. And I intend to have you by my side forever."

Helena laughed softly and tucked her head in under Mirzam’s chin. If you want to carry me right home, I think that might be best, seeing as it’s what I want too. I will stay by your side forever. If I could make a vow for it I would, but my heart, my soul my mind and my everything else belongs to you, and you know that. Always and forever. No matter what.”
Mirzam was all that mattered. All that ever mattered and all that would ever matter, and Helena was terribly content with that.
