»»» Growing up, Declan was sandwiched between a older sister and a younger sister. His parents had high expectations for all three of their kids. A lot of their free time was structured with various school activities - clubs, sports, volunteering. Anything that would make their college applications look good. Declan didn't know of anything different from this and started to become jealous as he watched his friends enjoy their free time after school, going to skate parks and birthday parties. Declan always had something to do. When high school rolled around, it was time for him to decide what course he wanted to do. His older sister ended up going into the military, something that didn't really sound too engaging for himself. His younger sister leaning towards becoming a vet. It was time he made his own choice. Medical field was always something he wanted to be involved in, but missed the attitude for a doctor. Instead, he registered for a Nursing Program. While it wasn't his fathers first choice for Declan, he accepted it.
Three years into the program, Declan had been studying with one of his other classmates. The two ended up in a relationship, a relationship that lead to a pregnancy. It wasn't the best choice for the two of them, but they went forward with it. With the support of their families, they both managed to finish school and had a little boy. Their relationship didn't survive the stress. They're now co-parenting.
Having grown up without much choice of video games, Declan was interested to start playing something. Deciding The World: New Horizons would be the game to start with. Maybe it would even be something that his 4 year old could enjoy with him. Creating a rogue character was something he became attuned with relatively quickly, being the opposite of his current job of caring for others. This gave him an outlet, the ability to be someone different.
