»»» BACKGROUND: The oldest of her siblings. Melissa was the child that could never stay still for long, and always needed something to do. With all that excess energy, her parents decided to stick her into various sports to get it out. One of which she took a particular shine to, gymnastics. So much so, that she started showing a promising career, and potential to go to the Olympics as she neared her graduation from high school.
After graduating high school, Melissa continued her schooling and training. Though a few months before she was going to compete in the most important event of her life, fate had struck. Breaking her ankle while training, due to faulty equipment. Falling into a depression during her recovery, and feeling like most of her life was robbed from her. Melissa got deeply into gaming to escape the real world and the responsibilities that came with it.
During her time healing, Melissa started to see a therapist, and worked on her mental health as well. It was during this time that Melissa's love for gaming came to fruition, finding that those she played with, though not close geologically, were close to her heart.
By the time that Melissa was healed, and getting back into the gym, she knew that she was never going to be in the Olympics. She was getting older, and gymnasts did not last long into their twenties. Reevaluating her life, and what she wanted to do. Melissa loved the training that she did with her father, and wanted to turn that into a career. Changing her classes to exorcise science, and physiology classes. Melissa would go on to become a relatively successful personal trainer for athletes in the greater Seattle region.
As time went by, Melissa found a means of mixing her passion of training and health with that of gaming. Having started getting into anime, cons, and cosplay. She offered to help those that wanted to get into better shape for cosplaying with nutrition and workout plans. Finding that a lot of people that wanted to get into it, did not know the proper way to get themselves there.
During her time off however, Melissa spent her time in The World: Revived. Appearing as a fighter by the name of Hera. She wasn't a famous player, or a guild leader. But she was someone that was known among a few. An avid competitor on the colosseum, and captain in her PvP guild, Twisted Empire. Though, despite the edgy name, they were relatively helpful to newer players, assisting max levels getting geared for PvP.
